Air Conditioning Purchase & Installation
After receiving an email from Reliance regarding their rebate program my husband and I decided to give this company a chance.
This was in April. As of today, May 31st we are still waiting for a credit of $500. Our down payment was double billed to our credit card. We were hoping to finance this purchase as we are seniors on a fixed income so a monthly payment suited us better than having to cash in investments. They do not finance to land lease homeowners even though the company offers financing services
We opted to purchase a larger unit and have additional runs installed. Still waiting. The installer was sent by Reliance.We were quoted $2600 on paper. The actual cost was $2699, one hundred and thirteen dollars more including HST. The sales person said he would see what he could do about that. When the error occurred on our credit card we were charged by the credit card company for being maxed out. This was do to the way reliance takes payment. Again, the sales person said he would see what he could do. It was just prior to the May long weekend when the salesman said he would get this looked after right away. It is now over 2 and a half weeks and still no credit. I just received my statement and the card company now wants me to pay the $500 as the statement has now come due. I have since had to file a dispute against Reliance. I am about ready to call and tell them to come and get the new A/C unit but I don't want this to go on forever as I am certain it would. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. Absolutely no customer service. Problems from the get go. Should have kicked the salesman's carcus to the street!!!
