    Fireplace Installation

    Fireplace unit is great but installation was anything but great. Owner and his assistant showed up late, were not very careful and scratched up my mantle to the point where I have to repaint it (see pictures), they installed the screen crooked (see picture) and when I called them up to ask to come back and fix it, they said I did it and refused to return to fix it. I would think long and hard before calling up GTA Heating and A/C Inc.

    Furnace upgrade

    Although products are new as per sales rep said... It's not the latest model.. Therefore it's not as per spec. The one major issue is that they do not provide invoice as per spec... Ie.. Furnace and tankless water heater, we paid over $7700 and AC unit we paid $3700. But when company email us the paid invoice statement.. The furnace and thanks water heater showed only /- $7100 and AC unit $2700. This is not true. We requested the company to change it. Until today, we still have not recieved an updated invoice from they with correct amounts paid.

    AC Installation - Professional and honest at a reasonable price

    >> Professional << He is professional, quick and nice. He is knowledgeable and provides good recommendations >> Quick << Accommodated us quickly as our situation required that. He drove more than an hour during a weekend to give us a quote when he learned that we needed the AC quickly >> Reasonable Price << Great price and we shopped around >> Honest << We mistakenly overpaid, we asked him to verify and quickly confirmed and returned our money back. Amazing!

    Install new AC and Furnace and install supplied Tankless WH

    I checked quite a few contractors for quotes, but Mike's was the best overall value for the money. He recommended the appropriate equipment at what I consider to be a very good price. The GTA team showed up as promised, they were polite and efficient. They had to come back on the second day to install the HW tank I bought, and again did a fantastic job. No problems, no delays. Mike was flexible on timing and quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. Great job, GTA!

    Mike just saved my family!!

    Our furnace just decided to stop working at 10:30 pm and the outside temperature was -10!! I found Mike’s number on the internet and called him expecting he wouldn’t accept to come that late at night. To my surprise he offered to help me fix it over the phone!! I was amazed at his perseverance and how determined he was to help me. It took him around an hour over the phone to explain to me what should I do, and I never ever felt he’s fed up or wants to end the call.. in contrary he was SO patient. After asking me a couple of questions he immediately knew what was wrong and had a plan how we’ll fix it. The amazing part of the story is that he refused to take any money although I offered him many times to give him my credit card number to charge it but he refused!! I really can’t believe what happened until now.. Mike literally saved our family from freezing in this very cold weather. No words can thank you enough, Mike!!

    Repair Fireplace - replace mercury switch

    My fireplace would not start up, so I started my research for someone local who was highly rated. I found GTA Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. was a GOLD Dealer for my brand of fireplace so gave them a call. After describing the symptoms, Mike was able to provide me with a high and low range for the repair, and was able to come within a few days which was great. On the arranged date, he let me know he was going to be a little late, and arrived at the revised time. His first step was to thoroughly clean the fireplace and replaced the ignitor. Although he was able to get it going, it would not stay lit. After several attempts he indicated because I had a mercury switch, I needed a complete upgrade kit. This meant the repair was going to be the high side of his estimate and would require another visit. Once the kit came in, we arranged for his second visit a few days later. Mike arrived on time and started the task of gutting the fireplace in preparation for the upgrade kit. I was amazed at what he had to do to install the replacement kit. As Mike put it, he replaced the heart of the fireplace. He did a great job and cleanup everything up when the job was done. The fireplace has been working great ever since and it looks really nice now that we can see through the glass. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of the work that Mike did and would not hesitate to recommend them for fireplace repair. I will definitely call them again should I need any further work done. [Please note, that there is another company called GTA H & A on Homestars, but it is not the same company].

    Furnace and A/C

    I am extremely pleased and impressed by GTA Heating and AC Inc's quality of workmanship and their customer service. Their attention to detail and quality of work was executed beautifully and in keeping with the corporation's rules and aesthetics of our homes' facades. Mike is very professional, his patience and attentiveness was greatly appreciated. A big thank you to the entire team who are masters of their craft and completed a seamless execution. They installed a sound less high efficiency furnace and an AC for our house. The quiet performance and their sleek design blend beautifully in my carefully edited living space. I'm super happy I chose GTA Heating and A/C Inc.!

    Replacing our furnace

    They were on-time. They did the job carefully. They provided services exactly what they promised from the beginning which is sometimes not the case for many other contractors. well-done. I highly recommend this company.

    Review of Takagi tankless water heater at home

    I called the manufacturer of the tankless water heater after finding out that the original installer does not carry the product. He was one of several service providers recommended in the Greater Toronto Area. I explained to him the situation and he was able to book an appointment the very same day. Options were made to me and explained to confirm my concerns regarding the company (original installer) that gave inaccurate information about the unit which they no longer carry.. After about an hour and half, I am pretty clear what my options and and the price was fair for troubleshooting and installation of new thermostat. He also installed a shock absorber to reduce banging of water pipes. (NOISE)

    True Excellence - reasonable price

    Improperly installed high end furnace brought to safety: Installed air intake (hole in wall reqd), proper exhaust outlet intelligently installed using old intake (saving cost), electrical connection salvaged, door into closet installed to allow code 24" acccess to furnace (rather than remove entire wall!). Intelligent workmanship. Hami, the employee, was brilliant. Rather than just go with what could be sold, called the boss & ensured it was the right thing to do. Bright guy. They stayed until 9pm to ensure it was done properly. Would call them again in a heartbeat. Integrity.
