    Backyard patio, retaining wall, and lawn makeover

    Im so glad to have found Ramshaw for my backyard landscaping project. Cliff, Steven, and the crew did a fantastic job with every aspect of the project. They were professional, took their time to do things right, and really cared about the quality of their work. The quoting and planning experience was excellent as well. Jody was very responsive in handling my questions and even worked hard with suppliers to lock in material costs before prices went up. I couldnt be happier with the whole experience and the end result, and I would highly recommend Ramshaw to anyone.

    Spring clean up

    Ramshaw provided excellent service. We had the garden leveled that took precise work, we also had several trees to be cut back and trimmed. Large sections of trees were cut into smaller pieces and stack across the property. The 2 men assigned to the job were courteous, respectful and hardworking. They took extra time to clean up that even exceeded our expectations. I am happy to recommend Ramshaw Excavating and Landscaping. We will certainly hire them again.

    Backyard

    Cliff and team did a good job of our dog run and shed pad / shed build. The other work they completed is not a good. We knew there was no guarantee that transplanting our perennials would be successful, but A few mistakes are clear: the rose bush did not have a sufficient root system cut, and some of the peonys root system was left behind so it now grows up through our lawn. The sod that was put in seems to have mixed quality grasses in it and is not very nice. I would recommend Ramshaw for hardscaping, but would be hesitant to use them for other work.

    We are so sorry to hear you were not 100% satisfied with the job done. As discussed before the project started transplanting is risky and we can not guarantee the plants will survive. We have had success transplanting in the past but sometimes it doesn't work out. We have not had any sod complaints before so we are surprised by this. The sod farm grows a certified Kentucky blue grass and fescue blend under irrigation.     Front yard work

    We had our front yard renovated 10 years ago. They didnt do a satisfactory job. The bricks for the stairs and walkway were shifting and settling and so it wasnt an even walkway. They glued the stairs down but they unglued after a while. Cliff from Ramshaw came over and quoted us a price and what needed to be done. We told him what we wanted done as well. We needed a wall done on both sides of our yard to keep the rundown rocks in place. All was done to our satisfaction. Cliff and his two guys worked hard. We are very happy with the results.     Community Garden

    Ramshaw Excavating helped us do the groundwork for our community garden project. They were professional, community minded, worked with us in detail on our specific needs including finding affordable options and understanding the challenges of grant funded projects. They were responsive and absolutely great to work with. They even made suggestions about things we didn't think of that would have cost us thousands as an after thought. Thank you Ramshaw.

    Beautify our Backyard

    Ramshaw took the vision that we had for our back yard and turned it into reality. We have now spent time in our new back garden, and have also spent many wonderful hours with friends and family in this transition that they completed. The change from a mundane space to an exemplary one is wonderful. We plan on asking Ramshaw back to do some additional development work, and extend the concept from the back of our house to the front.

    Retaining wall

    I had a retaining wall built in my backyard. This company did a great job! They were done quickly and did a really good job cleaning up after they were done. The wall looks better than I could have imagined.

    Front Yard

    Some major landscaping needed to be done after our house renovations. As always Ramshaw Excavating did an amazing job. Tons of work to get everything leveled out and looking amazing!

    Rock wall and stair rebuild

    Cliff and his team did a great job of rebuilding the wall and stair that was improperly filled and packed over 15 years ago. They started the job earlier than expected; finished when expected and within price originally quoted.

    Backyard Landscaping

    We highly recommend Ramshaw Excavating and Landscaping for your landscaping projects! We hired Ramshaw to improve our less than ideal backyard. The owner, Cliff, gave us honest and practical suggestions. He and his team are trustworthy, experienced and professional. We now have a wonderful backyard!
