Better Contracting Services

Better Contracting installed a new roof for me in 2008. It's in great shape, but the flashing over the porch roof has flaked away over the years. Although the warranty on the work has long since expired, the company offered to remove and replace the flashing for half their usual house call rate. They came a week later, and carried out the work efficiently and professionally. They also checked out a couple of very small issues I brought to their attention. Overall, I recommend Better Contracting very highly.

Better Contracting did our neighbours roof in 2019. They did such a good job that I had them do my roof in 2021. Polite, prompt, attentive, quality materials. They cleaned up to perfection including a magnetic sweep. The crew was fantastic and took the time to answer all my questions. I always take note of roofers and have never seen any company compare to Better Contracting. Top notch, you will not be disappointed.

We contacted Better Contracting about a possible leak coming from our roof. Russ came to the house and offered a couple of valid suggestions as to what the issue might be. We decided to go ahead with his suggestion. Vlad came out and did the job promptly.
Everyone we dealt with was friendly and prompt. What impressed us the most was they didn’t try to upsell us with a more expensive (new roof) solution, since we knew that wasn’t necessary yet. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them when a new roof is needed.

Better Contracting shows up on time and completes the work quickly. We know it's done right the first time. We have used them on a number of jobs at different properties. Flat Roofs, shingle roofs, chimney repairs, flashing repairs. They are our GO-TO. They are honest with us about what needs to be done, even if it's less than we thought they are honest and upfront.

I'm quite pleased with the work done on my house. From a sales perspective, they were knowledgeable and responsive, start to finish through the process. The crew was not subs, they were in-house and very good experts. The work was high quality, they were pleasant, showed up on time, zero issues with follow through. My property was left clean every day. You really can't ask for more. Excellent work and I highly recommend. Price marked as $0 since that is private info.

The roofing team was well organized, attentive to my questions, worked clean around my property when they removed the old material and installed the new material. The pictures they provided to me of my roof looks like they did a good job. Would recommend

I had a big job - replace my old flat roof, shingles, downspouts and skylights. I contacted 10 companies, and five responded quickly. I chose Better Contracting Services because their estimate was competitive, their advice practical and were established with decades of experience and a solid reputation. And, yes, it helps that they are recommended by Mike Holmes, so I felt confident with my decision. The crew of five arrived on time and were always masked, professional, polite and neat. They worked well together, cleaned up throughout the day, and even placed huge, long tarps between my house and the neighbours to catch nails and debris. Although the new roof leaked two weeks after installation :( within 12 hours of my call (e.g. I called at 9 p.m. and by 9 a.m. the next morning), the crew was back to assess the problem (small leak around new bathroom vent). Not only did they take responsibility, they apologized and fixed it immediately. Within a few days, the damaged ceiling and insulation were replaced, then painted up. As well, just when I was about to email them about the warranties, it was emailed to me. Several neighbours watched the crew work on my house and were impressed by their team work and efficiency. So much so, a few are considering getting quotes from them for their next project. I would highly recommend hiring Better Contracting Services.
