shower faucet replaced

Had a problem with the first plumber they sent. Spoke to the company and they sent Siavash who was excellent. Changed the cartridge and will come back to put the fixtures in when I buy the fixtures. Even though the cost will be more then the first plumber quoted, Siavash said he will charge me only the difference. I'm impressed that this company was so eager to make me happy with their service. I would recomment them.

shower faucet replaced

Had used this company before for a huge job replacing pipes in the basement and I was quite happy. So I didn't hesitate to call for this job of removing the shower fixtures and replacing them with more modern ones. Also the faucet dripped. I thought while I had them here, I'd get them to replace my laundry tube faucet. So I called and Mark came quickly for a quote. He looked at the shower for two minutes and said he could do both jobs for $600. I spent the next two days at hardware stores shopping for the material. Mark came late and two minutes into the job said he couldn't do it. The fixtures couldn't be applied because the pipes, etc were old and he'd have to cut into the wall and change the pipes. He already had removed the fixtures. I said put everything back as it was. So he changed the laundry tub faucet for $217. He also left me with a filthy shower from his muddy boots. I had called a plumber friend the night before to see if $600 was a fair price. He said yes and asked if the company I was using was reputable. I said yes. He said good cause some shady companies would come in and once they began the job would then say, "I can't go this unless I change all the pipes". Live and learn. I would have preferred Mark to take off the fixtures before the quote and then give me an honest quote on the work that was required. Then I would have said OK. So I still have a leaky tap and outdated fixtures. Guess it's time to call (another) plumber.
