We Do Blinds

Our blinds needed cord replacement/repair and cleaning. Nick from We Do Blinds did a terrific job - he returned my call promptly, gave me a quote and picked up/returned my blinds the same week. He also gave me great advice on purchasing new blinds when we decide to replace them in the future. My cleaned and repaired blinds look great!

What's interested is that I searched high and low to find a company in Toronto that will service these, but all they want to sell you new blinds (they're not interested in repairs) which can get quite expensive. So glad to have found Nick - reliable and a nice guy as well. Highly recommended.

Nick now has permanently closed his business according to the internet search. I don't understand how someone reviewed him 22 hours ago. He doesn't have a voicemail for his business. He is unethical. I continue to give him a chance. To replace the skunk smell blinds, including what I paid Mick and then a certified company to replace the perfectly good Hunter Douglas blinds Nick destroyed will costume more than $4000.00. Do the right thing Nick.

The positive reports for Nick occurs when things turn out. When his work doesn't turn out, he is not an honourable businessman and he does not stand by his work as he claims. There is no such thing as a Hunter Douglas certified cleaner. Check it out with Hunter Douglas.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER BUY OR HIRE THIS MAN. He took my white Hunter Douglas blinds for cleaning and brought them back with huge large dark circles on them. He tried fixing them and his wife told him not to even show it to me. He tried blaming my blinds for these large circles on 4 large blinds that he said would have cost me $3500 to replace. Finally he agreed to replace 2 of the blinds, I kindly agreed to pay for the others. He should have paid for them all. He forced the blinds into my preexisting supports, chipped the paint on the wall. To top it off.....the next day when I returned home my home smelled like SKUNK SKUNK. I called and emailed and he has still not returned one call. One week later the blinds smell like skunk and are so lodged into the holders I can't get them out. HE DIDN'T HAVE THE COURTESY TO CALL OR RETURN EMAILS, and now he is challenging this review. I welcome people to come over and smell the skin in my condo. NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE THIS PERSON. He is not a man of integrity. He doesn't stand by his product. I was too nice in not demanding replacement of Hunter Douglas blinds and that I paid for blinds that I had not planned or budgeted for. How disgusting that he is challenging this review.

HE has had multiple opportunities to make this right . HE DID NOT TELL THE TRUTH to HOMESTARS. He said I wasn't a client. I submitted proof, and thus here is my review. DO NOT USE THIS MAN

My existing custom made blinds were in good shape except for the cord. I called Nick and he had them fixed within a day. Nick and Stella were very pleasant to deal with. I would definately recommend "We Do Blinds".

I cannot speak for other services they provide, but I would definitely not buy an blind tracks from them. My parents purchased tracks from Nick for their vertical blinds, and the tracks broke down 3 times, and now Nick refuses to come for service or take the track back. They tried to blame everything other than the track itself including my parents, the vertical blinds, and even the wind. The previous track worked for 9 years before it needed replacement, and their tracks don't even last one month.
I would not trust any of their products; Nick promised 5 year warranty on the product when he installed it, but for our case, the warranty only lasted 1 month, and now my parents are out $250, and had to pay for another company to come replace the track.

Based on a Homestars review, I contacted We Do Blinds about fixing a broken roller blind cord that was less than 2 years old. Nick answered all of my questions promptly and fully. He recommended replacing both plastic cords with metal ones that are more durable. Nick arrived on time and made the repairs as quoted. He is very knowledgeable about the products and their care.

We have Luminette shades that have to be removed for painting. Unfortunately, after the painter put it back the mechanism did not work properly. We were lucky to have found We Do Blinds. An appointment was promptly set up within two days. Nick arrived on time and made the shades working again. He's very knowledgeable and makes good recommendations. The best thing is he not only installs but also provides maintenance service like cleaning and repair. We will definitely refer him to our friends. Thanks, Nick.

Our motorized Hunter Douglas blind over our ceiling skylight stopped working. Nick spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me to trouble shoot the issue. I agreed to have him try to repair the blind or, if he was unable to do so, to replace it at a cost of approximately $2,200. Nick came to our house in downtown Toronto next day on time. Another company near us had told us it would be one month before they would have time just to look at it. But, Nick checked the system and fixed it in minutes. This man really knows blinds and window coverings of all sorts. He is very experienced and obviously honest which is very refreshing in these times. He could easily have simply sold us a new blind, as he knew we were prepared to go that route if he was unable to repair it. We are very grateful to have found "We Do Blinds" and will continue to work with them on future purchases in our new home.

My blind end cap broke off while in operation due to age and exposure to sunlight for 7 years. The end cap on my blind model also has pins to hold the entire blind assembly.

I contacted Nick and booked an appointment for 2 days later. He arrived and immediately looked at the problem, went to his car, grabbed a few spare parts and replaced the assembly.

On top, he also replaced the clutch mechanism along with the cord which makes the blind so much easier to operate.

Greatly recommended.
