Poor quality, zero construction oversight, zero trade coordination, corporate indifference

Great layout; great sales person; decent warranty techs. Thats it for the good news.

Pathetic construction; zero construction oversight; bottom-feeder trades; zero project management; customer service a misnomer and profoundly disappointing; deficiency repairs substandard. Serious roof leaks; floor to ceiling foundation cracks/leaks (right through foundation wall); walls bowed; walls not vertically level. PDI a joke - told not to worry, just put on 30-day Tarion submission. Tarion only honours PDI - the balance is contractual between homeowner and Starward. Starward plays this like a symphony. Original owner would be ashamed.

Costly as per the pandemic

Builder only knows how to grab money from people. even in this pandemic situation, who set prices for 460K for 2 bedroom townhouse? its 50 unit project and in this whole project only 3 units are set to 460k and which is way too high..

because of this kind of builders, we have to shortlist properties by price , but not by 2 or 3 bedroom property or commute.

Buyer Beware!

We have been in procession of our home in the Country Ridge Estates for just over a year now. The Customer Service was great at the Sales point but once you sign the doted line it's all down hill from there. It was painful getting pricing for upgrades and the overall craftsmanship of the home was just not great in the end. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of any one to fix warranty items and when you do get a hold of someone they either do not show to the scheduled appointments or do a sub-par job fixing the issues. Most emails or phone calls receive absolutely no response. I would not recommend anyone to ever purchase a Starward Home. The company it completely under staffed to handle the volume of customers they have.

new home

I am completely disgusted and disillusioned with Starward homes of Hamilton Ontario. I had a house built by them in Harbourtown in Fort Erie Ontario. The price seemed very reasonable. Proves the old saying "you get what you pay for". I'll start from the ground up. The framers placed the windows in the front of the house a foot higher than house plans called for. This left the tops of the windows very close to the ceiling. Three other identical models in the project were OK. This was corrected by the company in a very untimely matter. It took almost two months after I closed on the place to get the interior work finished. The framers used lumber for the floor joists that did not have a flat surface on them. The joist was rounded because it was the outside of the tree. Whole sections of subfloor were not fastened to the joists. I repaired this myself as I did the flooring myself. The subfloor was exposed to the elements and at several places, the floor was swollen about one and inches making the application of wood flooring impossible. The interior was painted the night before the inspection. An all niter. The hallway has 16 ft ceilings and is covered with dry roller marks. The patio door would not close tightly. Turns out the bottom locking pin was sheered off. This did not happen here. Was this a returned door? Many gaps in the trim woodwork. One two inches wide. House closed in November and to date (May 22nd) the grading and sodding have not been completed. Some of these items have been rectified, but I am still living with about a dozen ongoing deficiencies. The PDI was completed under protest while workers were still working on the interior and exterior of the house. This is just a sampling of the existing problems.
