Galaxy Windows

We got Galaxy to replace our original windows. Alex, the sales guy, scheduled a free estimate the same week and was at our place right on time. He knew his stuff and we felt confident to trust him with the project. A few weeks later all the windows were installed by Yuriy and his crew who were very good at what they do and addressed every concern we had during the installation. It all turned out just great and above our expectations. We liked the shopping experience too. No gimmicks, no tricks, the quote counted on the spot and it was hundreds of dollars lower than the super-one-time-only-50%-off-kind of nonsense offered by their competitors. I wish every contractor was as pleasant to deal with.

I got six estimates to replace a few windows in the bedrooms and a dining room bay. Most companies had no problem with replacing windows as brick to brick but the bay was suggested to be done with the original frame kept in. I later found out from Dmitri that some factories can only assemble bays at 30 and 45 degrees and ours wasn't exactly that when originally built. He also mentioned that not every installer out there can perform such a job. Long story short, Galaxy had a supplier to build our bay brick to brick, it was measured by their guy Juri and delivered in one piece, completely assembled. The installation took two days and everything turned out just perfect. We are very happy with the job and highly recommend Galaxy Windows.

We used Galaxy Windows to replace our leaky patio door. They weren't our first estimate but based on the reviews we decided to give them a try. So we called the company and Alex, the sales representative was at our place the next evening. He was quite knowledgeable and helped us pick every option we felt necessary. We were in a bit of a rush to get it replaced and he promised the installation within a week. He took all measurements himself, and lo and behold, four days later the installers were on our doorstep. The whole process took less than a day and the work quality was spotless. Juri, the installer was great. He covered hardwood floor around the door and they cleaned everything inside and out before they left. This was one of the most pleasant renovation experiences we've ever had and we will definitely be recommending Galaxy to our friends.

We replaced almost all the windows for our house with the windows manufactured by Window City, www.windowcity.net. Galaxy Windows, www.galaxywindows.ca, installed the windows. They performed the installation work professionally. They and manufacturer fixed any minor defects to our satisfaction. The salesperson was particularly helpful. He is honest, professional and helpful in making sensible recommendations.

If there is any recommendation for their continued improvement, I'd say to them to leave some more time at the end for the finishing touches, caulking the inside frames, and making sure they and the customer have the time to have a final inspection of the installation work together.

Dmitri the salesman went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and budget, he explained the product and installation in detail; then he showed up when installation was almost complete to ensure everything is fine; the installers, Alex and the other two did a fantastic job in fitting the new windows to the existing structure and complete the work in one day. They even managed to fit our existing California shutters to the new patio door. A thorough clean up was done before leaving, inside and outside. We are very happy with the job well done. After spending months getting quotes for the replacement of our windows we decided to use Galaxy mainly because of the reviews on this site. We contacted Alex and arranged for the replacement of our 22 windows and 1 patio door. He arrived on time and we had not any issues with him during the finalizing of the contract. Since this was a mid-December installation we had some concerns on how well Galaxy installs during the cold weather. We asked Alex for winter installation references which he promptly supplied within a few hours.

I was a bit concerned that the installation would not be done before the snow came but Installation was started and completed on the exact day that Alex promised. I have to commend the two installers that worked very hard to complete the job on time.

I did have two issues. The first issue that I had was with the dust that last left behind. I was not warned to cover up my furniture so everything including our beds was covered with dust. I think as a procedure Galaxy should warn their customers to cover up everything. Galaxy did offer to send a cleaning company over to clean up.

The second issue was the lack of a screen door on the patio door. We had ordered the French patio door with a screen but it was installed without. Once contacted, Alex offered to come back and install the screen door or provide a refund to pay for the screen.

It has been a month since the windows were installed and everything seems ok.

We decided to replace the windows on our Victorian home and had called 2 window companies for estimates. Before deciding I came to homestars.com to check for one more company before the final decision. We found Galaxy windows to be very highly rated so gave them a call. Dmitri was very prompt to get back to me and we were able to arrange an appointment right away. He was very knowledgeable, showed us sample windows and gave us guidance as to to the type and design that would be most suitable. Pricing was very competitive. From the order to the replacement, it was a faster time frame than promised and on the day of the installation the company was prompt, very efficient and fast. Dmitri came to ensure that the job was going smoothly and then tested the windows after installation to make sure they were all operational. From start to finish, everyone was extremely happy with the installation and Dmitri answered all of our questions with courtesy and patience, both at the time of taking the order to subsequent phone calls before installation. I have already recommended Galaxy windows to my clients and friends and will continue to do so, without hesitation!

Galaxy replaced patio door as promised and as quick as possible. The sale agent spent time to explain as detailed as I asked and the installer is quiet but did a great job. I am pretty picky but can't find a single problem after.
