This was a great experience for me in the end as Brian pursued me to fix my original experience that I had had with his company. Normally when things start out so poorly I decline to avoid any more complications - some people just aren't meant to work together.

BUT, I reluctantly agreed. I was not disappointed. Katie and Zoran were the new painters that he sent to do the job. They were respectful, polite and hardworking. When we had a few small things they bounced with it and fixed what was needed. No it is not a 10, but it ended as a 10 averaging out to a 9.

When Brian asked me what he could do to help him get a 10, I told him that I honestly believe that this 9 is more powerful than any 10 that he has bc it shows his willingness to fix whatever problems come up, faces them, makes amends and delivers what he promises. So no it was not a perfect experience, but I would recommend Brian and Home Painters bc in a world of construction where customer service and satisfaction is becoming extinct, Brian really does care! And that Brian, truly is more important in the end than anything else. Grateful he pursued me to let him prove to me who he is and that it was just a bizarre twist of life - bc Brian is the real deal, and Katie and Zoran are great representatives of what Home Painters stands for. "If you're happy, then we're happy!" (Home Painters motto)

Thanks again for a great job and thanks for your integrity, it means a lot to Gord and myself.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Give multiple options to schedule a date. Customers don't mind waiting if they know that there is a date scheduled. Even dates changing due to construction problems is better than no date.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Ask for optional dates to start and how long things will take.

It has been a week since we contacted Brian to schedule the painting that was originally signed up for July 14 2014. My cabinetmaker dropped the ball and instead of coming and installing my cabinets when he was supposed to he came and measured for them. I IMMEDIATELY called Brian and informed him bc he was scheduled to come the following week and didn't want him to lose rescheduling another appointment. I wish that I could say that rescheduling has been easy as all these reviews have stated, but it has not been. I'm not getting his emails until 2 days after they have been sent due to glitches in internet service and I check my emails constantly bc of my business. My mom-in-law is in the hospital with a broken hip and hand now so even though it was not Home Painters fault for this delay, we are now starting the project on Monday. Looking forward to getting this job done and ending up with an even higher review - that will be wonderful! Brian called tonight and confirmed starting Monday and that it will take a couple of days for the job to finish. He was very pleasant and is very eager to ensure that we are happy. I am again looking forward to upgrading this review to a 10. Patience is a virtue and Brian sure has more than me!!
