Hired Francisco to clean up a job that was started and needed to be finished before the tilers could come in and finish the basement shower room, and the carpenters could finish the staircase. He came when he said that he could. Worked early morning to fit my schedule and kept coming each morning until the job was finished to my satisfaction. Honest, and hardworking. His technique was impeccable. I would hire Francisco at a moment's notice and wouldn't hesitate to work with him again on any of my clients' projects.

The room was drab, and looked like a horse stable with green-teal stone tiles and no dressings. So I found a gorgeous chandelier at auction and decided to dress the powder room/cloak room up with the help of Omega aka Stone4Home. It was almost 6 years ago that I worked with them and still waiting to do the Great Room using their skills. Now just wanting to do the Billiard Room ceiling and that's right - I'm calling them, 6 years after this experience. Never underestimate a satisfied customer. We also had damaged plaster work that had been hand sculpted in our tiny front entrance. They referred this great master who came and fixed it for us. Grateful to have worked with them in the past. Looking forward to working with them now.

Grateful for a great day. The reviews are real. I was very skeptical about these phenomenal reviews but after 30+ years of dealing with electricians I can honestly say that Serge and Peter are the best that I've ever dealt with, in my business, and personally! Their dedicated perseverance to a difficult crystal pendant chandelier install was incredible. They don't give up. Their work was meticulous, and they left my home immaculate just as it was when they came. Nope wrong - tidier - the lights were hung and the boxes were ready for breaking down for recycling near the side door. Serge and Peter are the real deal and I wouldn't hesitate to say that they are the way construction used to be run - as masters of their trade with manners and protocol! Amazing experience guys. Oh and they're funny too! https://www.facebook.com/VersaillesStudioDesigns/photos/a.232038530322560.1073741832.231308087062271/232038650322548/?l=b607f8cdf8

I hired Thomas as a finishing carpenter for many projects on the go in a 90-year-old house (built in 1926) renovation that I've been working on off and on for the past 5 years. He has done great work for me and bc I design things and make adjustments in the design we decided to work by the hour so if changes were needed then there was no stress. He comes on time, leaves on time and his work is impeccable. The cedar closet revamp has been so good that I have taken it farther than I originally anticipated. Originally I was just going to add a top 13' clothing rod, but he ordered all the cedar materials from Century Mill Lumber (see in pic the gorgeous 18' long cedar) and created this great custom rod from my designs. That's right, from scratch! Seeing that rod up created with such craftsmanship, I decided to replace the lower shelf-rod custom-made by Thomas. He took my suggestion and pushed the envelope even further to create this beautiful panel for the end. No the closet revamp isn't yet finished, I have now chosen to custom build my shoe rack and look forward to Thomas returning in a few weeks to produce the same quality and workmanship that he has done thus far. Custom dormer niches were built for each room in the 3rd floor and they look magnificent! If you hire Thomas you will not be disappointed. As a designer, Versailles Studio Designs, I dream of finding this level of craftsmanship since it seems to be missing in the construction industry today. With Thomas, you'll not only find a great craftsman who knows his trade, but a gentleman on the job - tidy, never leaves messes, and never rude.

This was a great experience for me in the end as Brian pursued me to fix my original experience that I had had with his company. Normally when things start out so poorly I decline to avoid any more complications - some people just aren't meant to work together. BUT, I reluctantly agreed. I was not disappointed. Katie and Zoran were the new painters that he sent to do the job. They were respectful, polite and hardworking. When we had a few small things they bounced with it and fixed what was needed. No it is not a 10, but it ended as a 10 averaging out to a 9. When Brian asked me what he could do to help him get a 10, I told him that I honestly believe that this 9 is more powerful than any 10 that he has bc it shows his willingness to fix whatever problems come up, faces them, makes amends and delivers what he promises. So no it was not a perfect experience, but I would recommend Brian and Home Painters bc in a world of construction where customer service and satisfaction is becoming extinct, Brian really does care! And that Brian, truly is more important in the end than anything else. Grateful he pursued me to let him prove to me who he is and that it was just a bizarre twist of life - bc Brian is the real deal, and Katie and Zoran are great representatives of what Home Painters stands for. "If you're happy, then we're happy!" (Home Painters motto) Thanks again for a great job and thanks for your integrity, it means a lot to Gord and myself.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Give multiple options to schedule a date. Customers don't mind waiting if they know that there is a date scheduled. Even dates changing due to construction problems is better than no date.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Ask for optional dates to start and how long things will take.

I found this gorgeous wall underneath the plaster when we demolished the wall the renovate the downstairs bathroom. It was in great shape but not as great as the wall opposite. I looked up Otto who I'd gotten a quote from previously for limestone thresholds and had liked him instantly. So we hired him this time around. It was a little on the pricey side but as you can see it turned out beautifully and it bought us the much needed 5" to keep this room as a bathroom with a shower. Devon, who did the work, was great and easy to get along with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Otto for any tuckpointing and look forward to him returning to pour that cement that he offered for free as a thanks. Great guy, great staff, great company. I'm ready for the floor repour, Otto! :)

My daughter's bathroom was wired under a rewiring permit for our home 5 years previous because we had knob and tube wiring. There were so many problems because the contractor that we had originally hired never paid the subtrades and we ended up in dispute, and the electrical that had been done by the sub-contractor didn't pass code. Life is not easy after that bc trades come into your home and immediately their guard is up. We were able to find another elecrician to finish the electrical, an older semi-retired electrician, and all the permit work passed! Finally! I needed to finish the rooms that had been started and no one had been able to hook-up the doorbells that we had from the beginning - 5 years ago. My neighbour had a chandelier installed when they moved in and I saw Joe and the truck name and wrote it down. I contacted Solutions Electric and discovered that they were Mike Holmes go to electrical company. I had dealt with some other Mike Holmes trades and was happy with them, so I decided to go ahead. They bathroom that was started 5 years earlier was done and just needed the plugs and switches installed and the chandelier hung. They came in and got that done, along with the doorbells. There were some minor glitches while they "fixed" the old front door button bc it didn't work properly. I wasn't even home at the time but Joe returned and reinstalled the button with my weekly housekeeper being present. The best kind of contractors are the ones that I don't have to babysit and watch as this allows me to work and earn the money that helps pay for the work that they do themselves. It's a win-win situation. Thanks Joe for being meticulous in your work, and easy-going at the same time. Cheers to a great company! We had them back yesterday to finish up the work above that I had dropped the ball on and thought that it was done. I called bc I had workers there that were supposed to drywall the space - didn't happen - but not bc Solutions Electric didn't come quickly to help me out of an oversight that I had thought the 3rd floor bathroom electrical had been completed. Grateful for a fast and diligent response!! Thanks ~

I thank you Anne-Margaret for you wonderful comments, I want you to know that I do share these accolades with my whole team. I have made it a point to discuss and give credit to those that have earned it, on a monthly basis. Joe had a smile from ear to ear when I read your comments. Lost my review 2x now. Media centre conversion Loved!!!! works beautifully in my husband's great room, Bubble Glass Breakfront that I was looking for forever was just sitting there in their showroom, so we tried it on for size and it stayed!!! The same for the D-cabinet for our hallway. Loved the service, loved the conversion of antique to media centre - great workmanship, great owners and staff, and we love the try it out first and see if we love it system - no strings attached. It takes the worry out of a possible wrong choice. Thanks Carrocel!
