Carbon Monoxide Leak Repair Quote

This was an absolutely terrible experience and I caution anyone from doing business with All Time Heating or Steve. We had a carbon monoxide leak at our 2-year-old new construction home and we called All Time Heating to find out if there was an issue with our HVAC system. I spoke with Steve on the phone; my first red flag should have been when Steve had already diagnosed what the issue was over the phone, without even having come to our home or inspected anything. He presents very professionally - wearing company-branded coveralls, carrying a briefcase tool bag, handed me a marketing folder with company information, highlighted that the company was approved by the Better Business Bureau. He then proceeded to "inspect" my combi-boiler, by just touching my combi-boiler with his hands but not actually using any tools. Within a few minutes, he declared his phone diagnosis to be correct and advised that the only fix was to replace the entire combi-boiler. When I inquired why our almost-brand-new combi-boiler would be broken this quickly, his only explanation was that this was a "known issue" for this particular brand and model but he could not offer any other detail. When asked if this should be covered under warranty, he insisted it would not be. He then immediately went into "sales pitch" mode. He showed me invoices for half a dozen other clients who had purchased the same combi-boiler from him, including their names and addresses (so confidentiality is clearly not a concern of his). He then spent 10-15mins writing out a hand-written quote for ~$18,000 to install a replacement combi-boiler. He used scare tactics ("carbon monoxide is very dangerous for you and your baby, this needs to be fixed immediately") to try to pressure me to agree to the repair. At this point, the red flags were abundant and I was desperate to get him out of my home, so I paid the $200 fee he charged for a home visit via e-transfer (note: he tried to insist on my paying cash). He called the next day to tell me that another client had agreed to have their HVAC repair delayed so that my combi-boiler could be installed earlier and attempted to pressure me again into doing the repair. I called another HVAC company to investigate the issue and it turned out to be improper installation of the venting pipe by the builder, a repair that cost me ~$1000 to fix. Although I'm not pleased to have lost $200 to Steve, at least it wasn't $18K, and I hope my review will prevent someone else from doing business with this individual.

Furnace repair

I hired him to do fix my furnace, he charged me $1050, and the it runs for a few hours, he said he replaced the control board and some sensor, tune up etc. Shortly after he left the furnace stops again, this is during the snow. I called him the following day and he returned, but still the same problem, and I found out that he did not replaced anything he just reset it and and problems still there, I called him again and Im thinking its under warranty, but he said I have to pay him another $600 and there is no guarranty that he can fix it, he is getting annoyed too that I insisted it should be under warranty, he never fix it anyway and I paid him $1050 for nothing.
I fixed it myself just doing some researched and $25 part from Amazon. I hoped that this never happens to anybody, so dont even bother calling Steve to fix your furnace, do your research first, read reviews about him and it will save you a lot of headache and money.

boiler and tank-less water tank installation

Very bad experience. I have never ever had such a worst ever services in my life. The guy, Steve, installed a new boiler and tank-less hot water tank in my house to replace my old boiler and old hot water tank. The whole installation was done by other 2 guys, he just came in once in a while during the whole installation day.
They started in the morning of the day, and he promised to be done within several hours, but the reality was that it was done by the midnight, yes, about 12 AM midnight. After the installation, my nightmare just started. I called him to fix several problems until he stopped coming to fix the biggest one left behind.
The biggest one was very noisy knocking sound from my new heating system which he installed. I told him that my boiler started to give out the knocking noise every night just like someone hammering on the pipe right after the new installation and fixing. But he didn't come but just try to foolish me and said that was normal and should be slowly solved by itself. During that time, the noise was not too loud and endurable. But I know there should be something wrong with the heating system. He never tried to fix it but only tried to make excuse. And even worse, he told me some his stories and tried to scare me away from him when the last time he came to my house. Now, my heating system really got almost dead. One night around 2 am of last November 2016, my heating system fired very loud "bang bang ..." noise constantly like machine gun firing in my house and woke up all my family members. I tried to contact him but he didn't answer his phone and not even return my call. So, I have to pay a lot to other plumbing guy to fix it.
Since the beginning of the installation until the last time he came to my house, I never saw him to touch my heating system. Installation and other couple of times problem fixing were all done by other 2 guys.
There are still more worse details about this story. Because it would be too much and might be like a novel to write all down here.
I was thinking to give him a chance and really didn't want to give him any negative review before, but now my heating system was down and he didn't response to me.
So I thinks he doesn't really care about his reputation, I will satisfy him and have others know how this guy is.

replaced gas furnace

At first we were only going to get our old furnace serviced. We have an O/T house. Steve from All Time Heating came to our home & was able to show us inside our old furnace with a special probing camera. It was all rusted inside. He made us very aware that this was not safe & suggested new furnace options. He was very thorough in his quote & competitive. Even though it cost us several thousand dollars, his service was efficient & we are very happy with the new furnace.
