Strong winds last week dislodged some shingles leaving the roof exposed. I called a few roofing companies and settled on C Plus Roofing and got superb and prompt phone service. Jacky found/made time to stop by within the day, given it is expected to rain tomorrow. when here he fixed the bad roof area and touched up another area that needed fixing on his own initiative. service like this is hard to come across these days. Jacky and his crew did a full roof replacement (including removal and replacement of plywood) and installed a new skylight for us.

He was great at communicating along the way from the initial quote to the completion of the job, his crew did a fast and clean job and when any problem arose he dealt with it in a fast manner.

Jacky's communication from start to finish was always very prompt (almost always same day replies). He is very fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. At the beginning, he quickly provided a customized PDF quote with pictures illustrating each and every component of the job. Jacky also provided a link to a video showcasing the entire shingle replacement process. If you look at his website, it is also a wealth of information. Jacky's proficiency with technology is what really caught our attention and set him apart from other roofers. I believe he has a background in computer science and this really shines through.

We requested Landmark Pro shingles with full synthetic underlayment, both of which were considered upgrades. 3 feet of ice/water shield and metal vents were included already as standard features. We looked at quotes from about half a dozen companies, ranging from fly-by-night contractors with no digital footprint to large well-known companies like Alpine. Jacky's quote was competitive based on the specs we requested. We also considered all the positive reviews available online.

Jacky met us for an in-person consultation, answered all our questions, let us view samples of the equipment he uses (underlayment, metal vents etc), and set a rough install date. No deposit was required.

Several days before installation, he double checked what product we wanted and informed us of when to expect delivery of shingles from a 3rd party. Jacky's crew started each day by covering our property with protective tarps and plywood, then ended each day by cleaning up. Minimal property damage occurred over the course of the 2 day job. Due to the nature of our home, disposal of waste off the roof was not straight forward but his crew did the best they could. From what I saw, Jacky was present at the start and end of each work day, and was actively involved when present (I saw him up on the roof removing and installing shingles at one point).

Overall it was a positive experience and I would recommend C Plus Roofing to my friends and family.

Jacky responded quickly to my request for an assessment and delivered a very professional estimate and a reasonable price. The work was more complete (full underlayment) and complete than the last replacement I had about 20 years ago and for only marginally more money. The team were really diligent and respectful of my property. I can't imagine the job being done better. I just wish I'd been able to use them 20 years ago.

After talking and getting estimations from multiple contractors, I settled on two of them. Spoke with Jacky over the phone and the same day he sent me a quotation , with the roof profile and a full explanation of what will be done as part of the replacement process. The next day he came over and we discussed the details. He answered all my questions, walk me through the options and we agreed on a price and date. A big factor in making my decision was the 10 year workmanship warranty that came with the job. They have been in this business long enough to make sure they'll honour the warranty, unlike those contractors that are nowhere to be found when you need them back.
Jacky and his team of five showed up at 8.30 AM sharp as we agreed and started to work on installing the tarps and protecting plywoods around the house. That was one of my major concerns, as I have spent a lot of time and effort in my front and back garden and I know these jobs can get messy. Unlike other contractors who were dropping the old shingles all over the place, they did a pretty neat job of dumping them directly in the trailer and I wasn't able to spot any stray shingles anywhere around the house. They were working continuously and the job was done at 4 PM, after which they cleaned everything up. They even fixed my backyard door lock , without even me asking for it (not a big deal of course, but these little details make me think that they're very thorough with everything they do). All in all it was a very smooth experience and I highly recommend Jacky and his team for any roof jobs
