I found Ideal Stairs on-line when searching for stair renovators. I read the reviews on HomeStars and contacted the company via email. Mesh was my contact at Ideal Stairs and from the first email photos I submitted, to the completion of my stair renovation, My experience was 100 % positive. Mesh sat down with me to find out what type of renovation I was looking for. He worked with me to plan the renovation and provide details regarding the work to be done. I was on a tight time schedule and he was able to fit my job in. from the first day of the job, the work crew came out and worked hard. They follow a tight time line. Mesh wood call to let us know what was happening each day and when the crew would arrive. The stain colour for the stairs and bannister was perfectly matched. The job was completed in four days, with the stair treads and risers built and stained in the Ideal Stairs shop on one of those days. The job was run on a schedule that was efficient and produced a handcrafted, quality product. The team works with you, listens to and incorporates your wishes, and produces a beautiful end result. I will recommend Ideal Stairs to anyone looking for stair renovators and hardwood installation.

When we set out to do our conversion from carpet to hardwood, we asked several local companies. None of them were able to also convert our stairs in the way we wanted. Ideal Stairs were the only one stop shop and to say they are customer service oriented is an understatement. They emailed back right away no matter how many times we sent them questions. They called every morning to let you know they were on their way. They swept up and tidied the areas they were working in every night and worked so hard (til 8 pm most nights). They even helped us get the exact wood colour style from another manufacturer that they don't normally carry. They are first class and you should have no hesitation in hiring them.

Mesh & Rajan supply High Quality Material and Craftmenship. From the Initial Contact to the Final Inspection they are there for their customers. They are prompt to answer any telephone or text message. In a previous home we used a well known company but our daughter found Mesh for her home and they were so meticulous and caring that we had them do ours this time around. Carpets removed, hardwood floors put down, stairs refinished, new spindles and hand rails and new baseboards. Clean as a whistle everyday upon completing that days work. Always on time and they were on a tight schedule for us. AMAZING! would use them again and have already referred them. Ideal Stairs # 1 in my book. (now my husband wants to do the basement)

Excellent work done on a very large project. These guys started work ahead of schedule and worked quickly. Workers are very trustworthy and I had no issue leaving them alone in my house.

The whole project took about 1.5 weeks. During this process the team took care to seal off areas of my house to mitigate dust and at the end of each day they did a thorough job of vacuuming up their mess.

Communication with Mesh and Rajan was great. They always kept us up to date about when we could expect the workers to be here and how far along we were in the project. They addressed all of our concerns from the size of hardwood to perfectly matching the wood colour.

My only criticism (and I emphasize that this is NOT ideal stairs fault) was with the supplier of the spindles who kept sending the incorrect ones- this resulted in the job completion being delayed by a few days. Having said that, both Mesh and Rajan were very apologetic and went above and beyond to rectify the situation such as sending their guys on a Saturday to keep working on the job.

Pricing for the job was very competitive with other contractors and ultimately we decided to go with Ideal stairs as they offered the best combination of price, job turnaround time and overall comprehensiveness of the job (they did everything from tearing up carpet to the hardwood floors to finishing off all the staining---- we literally didn't have to lift a finger.

Would definitely would recommend these guys to friends and family, in fact we already have!

We hired Ideal Stairs to do a removal of carpeted stairs and hallway.
I had very specific products in mind and admit to being particular.
Mesh and Rajan were very pleasant to work with. Not pushy and extremely accommodating. The workman were skilled and diligent; cleaning up after each day of work. The wallpaper was not damaged (another company said it would be).
The end result is truly beautiful. Exactly as I had envisioned. The flooring is amazing.
Having a reno job done can often be incredibly stressful. I am so grateful that this was a great experience. My husband and I would be happy to recommend this company. Thanks guys!

Ideal Stairs to the rescue. I made the mistake of hiring a handyman do complete a bunch of renovations in my house and one of them was to redo my stairs. After going back and forth trying to get them done right, I decided it was best to call a professional to fix their screw up. I called Ideal Stairs and thanks to Mesh and Rajan they saved the day.

I had to explain the situation to them and also that time was extremely important as my wife and I were expecting within a few days. These guys step it up, they already had jobs lined up but showed up to my house after business hours just to fit us in. Communication was better than I had ever experienced. I would receive a call from Rajan or Mesh letting me know what was happening and when the team would show up at all times.

When the job was complete both the guys came out to inspect the final job just to make sure it was up to their standards.

As a Realtor in the Durham Region, I don't often recommend a company or someone as it puts my reputation the line. I am very comfortable recommending Ideal Stairs. You will not be disappointed.
