Deck Space

We hired Deck Space through Home Depot. They were very responsive. Showed up to do the quote in a very timely manner, brought design ideas to the initial meeting. The work was completed with minimal disruption and they kept the site very clean. Also provided advice on how to treat the cedar. Will definitely use them for the back deck!

Gilad and his team were professional and always got back to us in a timely matter. The finished product was done well, on schedule and except for a minor hiccup ( what was to be included in the final project was miscommunicated) we were happy with our deck/fence.

Gilad even gave us a present for our newborn baby which was above and beyond and very sweet.

Deckspace did an amazing job of building a fence for me and my neighbour. They showed up on time and completed the job on schedule. They left the job site in good shape when they were finished. I would highly recommend DeckSpace to anyone who needs a new fence or any kind of outdoor carpentry. I would use them again without question.

Went to Hwy 7 and Yonge Home Depot to get price quote on 10ft x 13ft high deck and the removal of old builder's deck about 5ft x 5ft. Gilad from Deck Space called back sometime later, came over the house and gave quote on the spot. Price was good and was given the contract a short time later. Gilad took over the rest including all the necessary paperwork for the permit. The final result looks great and sturdy. The whole project from start to finish and the Deck Space teams were very pleasant to deal with.

What a great company to hire. They do so much more than outdoor woodworking. Gilad and Asaf worked 10-14 hours a day until the job was done. Even started to work on a weekend. Would recommend for any job inside or out

Excellent workmanship. Very attentive. Gilad the owner, helped us from his experience with the new deck design which we loved.
On the scheduled day, the team arrived to my house on time, kept the site organized all the time with the tools and lumber and most important is that they treated my wife and I with respect.
They not the cheapest or the most expensive but at the end of the day it was a headache free experience with beyond expectation results.
This summer they will definitely be back to do my fence.

In the service industry myself and did not expect the level of workmanship and service I was provided from Deck Space. From the initial meeting (on time), to the execution, this has been a very pleasant experience. Deck Space has built a 400 sq ft deck for me along with a fence and unlike some of the other companies I have dealt with in the past, never used weather as an excuse not to show up. Rain or shine there were there working. Owner – Gilad, is a trustworthy man who kept his word throughout the project. Highly recommended.

Hired Deckspace to install a composite fence which they claimed to be able to do. Gilad(owner)ordered material and arranged installation. Long and short the fence looked good once finished. Later in the same year in began to warp in numerous places and given the cost of the installation and material we nor our neighbours were pleased. I called the manufacturer of the material and learned that the installation was not done to specifications. To correct this we would need to remove all boards and rails and re install. So in essence all but the posts had to come down and be redone. Gilad would have nothing to do with this and when i asked him why he did not follow directions he claimed he called the manufacturers (doesnt know who he called)and they told him the steps in the instructions which are clearly highlited as "mandatory" did not need to be followed. This only further proves that he knew the installation process and yes it would have taken a bit longer but it would have been done correctly and given i paid $14588.70 which is $85 per foot this was not a typical installation cost for a typical shadow box good neighbour fence. You could imagine my surprise when he refused to do anything at all to rectify this situation. We had to have the entire fence redone (excluding posts of which one has already shifted, hence the 1 rating). Be very aware if you choose to deal with this company as customer service and standing behind their work is not part of their business model.
