Needed to get an inspection done within a few days on a house with some interesting and not ordinary features. Found David FairBairn on HomeStars and had no trouble contacting or booking the appt. VERY Thorough (even the Realtors thought so) and able to reach out to specialists in multiple other areas for detailed repair and product information on rare systems installed. Report was very thorough, but also well summarized and I got it before he left the site. I would STRONGLY recommend FairBairn to anyone needed a home inspection!

He is very thorough, tests everything (all the appliances, heating, plumbing) and climbs everywhere possible (roof, attic). He is very friendly, trustworthy and professional. Being in the market for a home inspection for a prospective condo purchase, I did my research and I decided to use David to do my inspection. David knows his stuff. I found David on Yelp upon looking for home inspectors and reading reviews for his work. David is polite and very knowledgeable in his field. He took me through the home inspection step by step and gave me recommendations on what needed to be addressed. You can basically follow him throughout the inspection; However,he is fit and agile climbing the roof, moving through crawlspaces and attic so I watched from a distance. Once the thorough inspection is finished, he gives you a detailed report and information booklet (final report in the same day). Overall, his professionalism is great. He saved me some $ which helped negotiate the final home price. I would recommend David to anyone needing Home inspection.

David is the best home inspector that I have used. He is punctual, thorough, & honest. A true professional. He uses the most up to date technology including, but no limited to moisture meters, thermal imaging & air quality sampling. He was very patient when we asked questions during the walk-through. I was recommended to use David Fairbairn's services from a close friend and I thought he was absolutely fantastic!! He walked me through every step of the way and I learned so much from him. This was my first home inspection ever and I felt I know a lot more about a house in general. He had great gadgets as well and always explained clearly exactly what he was doing. Afterwards, he even provided me with a great booklet that shows a lot of information about what a house should have and how to maintain it. Additionally, he provided his report to me in pdf in less than 5 mins to my email which summarized everything in detail.
