Potlight Expert

This is first review and first day joining Homestars. I had read reviews on the site before and used a couple of contractors for some other work around the house but wasn’t really that impressed after the service to write a review. But I had to let everyone know what an amazing experience it has been working with Potlights Expert. My friend was raving about Potlight Experts after he initially found them on Homestars and had some work done in his house. I also had other Potlight contractors drop by to provide a quote before and when I called back to confirm appointment they say they’re too busy to follow through with the quote for work provided, and some other ones when I called them they just say how much lights you want and email me a quote without answering my questions. I contacted Houssein (owner), initially I had a few questions regarding the potlights (trim size, kelvins, line violate vs low voltage, etc.), but then I ended up calling him back probably around 6 more times within two hours as I wanted to ensure all my concerns that kept popping up were addressed before I commit. But Houssein was very patient in answering all my calls and providing very thorough answers. We set a time, a week from that initial call and booked today for the job.

Houssein and his team came today at the start of the time frame provided 8-9. We walked through the house discussed where I would like the lights. I wanted potlights almost everywhere in the house. But Houssein provided his suggestions and stated more potlights is not exactly better, there is an ideal amount to truly highlight the room without being excessive. Right from here I can tell he is a genuine contractor who cares more about his quality of work instead of quantity. After this Houssein and his team marked the spots where they will drill and walked me through it to get my confirmation. Then the team went ahead covering all the furniture’s, appliances, cabinets with plastic to prevent any dust built up. Houssein even accommodated a change of mind on the location of the potlight after all the potlights were up without giving me any pushback. Once all the potlights were up the entire house looked amazing, can’t believe I was living in my new house without potlights for this many years. To top it off, they even swept the floors, vacuumed, patched any holes to ensure it looks perfect. Another cool point I noticed is they always have someone acting as a quality checker on his team, to ensure all holes are filled, and all the rooms are cleaned, dimmers working, etc. In total I ended up installing 60 potlights and a dining chandelier (main floor-kitchen, dining,family, living, breakfast, hallway, laundry room), basement stairs and entryway, upstairs hallway), this wasn’t the original plan but seeing the amazing quality of work I was receiving at the value provided, I felt like I wanted potlights in every inch of house, even the garage, lol.
I definitely will be using Potlight Experts again as I plan on having my exterior potlights in soon.

Hossein and his crew were amazing. Great price, great work and very accommodating and provided me with good suggestions. I couldn't be happier and have scheduled more work for him to come back to do. There is a reason he is busy and gets top reviews. I highly recommend his work.

Hossein and his team arrived bright and early, and hit the ground running. He was able to quickly understand my lighting plan, and determine what was feasible given my 100 year-old house. Sadly, due to the plaster and lath above my drywall ceiling, we had to abandon much of the plan, and focus on the kitchen potlights. Within an hour they were able to cut into the drywall and cleanly install eight potlights, and did so leaving the house spotless. Very happy with how quickly he could work, but sad my house would not support his handiwork throughout. The one thing I forgot to ask Hossein was if, in future, will we be able to move the caps over and re-hang the pendant lights? Might be nice to have some basic lighting in there. Could be on the same dimmer.

Great work done on pot light installation in the main living area, hallway, closet, and bedroom. Professional service and advice. The work was done in a few hours and the crew was very efficient. Good communication, fair prices, and good clean up after the project. Would definitely recommend to friends and anyone looking for a professional and reliable pot light installation service.

We are so impressed with Hussein and his team. He is THE professional. Great communication, good advice, he had answered all my question to my full satisfaction. Then they appeared on time, convinced us that their design is better than ours. Moved everything fast and efficient, and did a great job. They cleaned after themselves, and our living room with new pot lights and dimmers is much better now.

Hossein and the two gentlemen that helped him truly lived by their names = "Potlight Expert". They were very polite, professional, punctual, thorough, meticulous, clean, and quick with regards to the installation. They installed numerous potlights on the main level and basement as well as light fixtures in each bedroom upstairs. They made sure that the positioning and alignment of the lights were perfect and to my liking. The cost was very reasonable and their service was superb! The potlights look AWESOME! Many thanks Hossein to you and your team. I will see you again to get more work done.

Great service, all previous positive reviews are justified. We had many lights installed on the second floor, main floor and outside eaves of house. They used airtight cans rated for insulation contact on the second floor as the lights were going into the attic. They used no-rust trim for the outside lights. All were installed without having to cut extra holes in the ceiling. Any visible small discovery holes were patched when finished. Everything was cleaned up and looked very professional when they were done. I wish I had hired them sooner they made it look easy.

Hussein and his guys were great. Showed up on time and completed the work quickly with no mess. 12 pot lights installed in less than 2 hours. Great personality and attitude! Highly recommended!!

Team did an awesome job. Very courteous and provided different ideas on how to align the lights for best look. The job came out spectacular within a few hours. They even patched up the existing holes and left me an extra bulb. Thanks guys!!!

Hossein and his crew came as advertised. They worked fast and efficient installing 6 pot lights in our laundry room and 4 in our main hallway. They laid out dropsheets to minimize the mess and cleaned up once they were done. I would recommend them to anyone tired of being ripped off by builders exorbitant prices.
