HTR Basements

HTR Basements was recommended to us by a friend. Right from the start and till the end we are happy with the finished basement. We will recommend HTR Basements to our friends and family! Thank you guys for your excellent work!

Before I decided to finish my basement in my rental property I interviewed quite a few companies. I was lucky to choose Alex and his team. They were so professional, efficient, fast and delivered high quality job! I can highly recommend them for any project of any caliber!

QUALITY: GREAT (5 STARS)
We are very happy with the quality of the work, the vapour barrier insulation work and replacement of the old windows turned the basement into a really cozy space and the lighting made into a really bright space. We got a really nice basement once everything was done. Absolutely!

BUDGET: GOOD (4 STARS)
The reason we chose HTR to do our basement was the level of quality and professionalism on their quote. The price was on pair with the competition but by the way they handle the quote process we felt like they clearly knew what they were doing, and they do. It was very detailed, down to every potlight. I also liked their payment scheduling, spreading the cost of the project on to clear deliverable milestones, which they stuck to, never asking for money before these milestones were completed.

The overall budget went up, because of additional work, but that was all agreed upon before work was carried out. Additional work included concrete levelling, replacing the stairs, levelling the ceiling, and additional electrical work (which we had the heads up before demolition started that may be needed).

POST-COMPLETION SUPPORT: GREAT (5 STARS)
After the project was complete and fully paid for there were some deficiencies identified which they promptly addressed with no additional costs.

SCHEDULING: GOOD (4 STARS)
Scheduling was OK, we were told the work could be carried out in 3 weeks if there were no delays, or additional work necessary (as I mentioned we added concrete work which was not part of the plan). There were more delays pinned to building permits. But once all the stars aligned and we received a final schedule and set a completion date the project was delivered on time.

COMMUNICATION: COULD BE BETTER (3 STARS)
With any project, there is always stress around schedules, delays, plans changing, and that’s pretty normal. However some of it could have been minimized with better communication.

Overall we are really happy and would recommend them or work with them again.

The entire team is very professional. They followed the contract and there was no delay. If there would a potential problem (eg. material is not readily available), they will inform you right away. If there were issues, they would also fix it as soon as they can, even if the weather wasn't as good. They also left the basement clean, even our exercise machine which accumulated dust during the renovation was cleaned after the project. Price was also reasonable.

High Tech Reno did an amazing job on our basement. We were very picky and had many demands around how we wanted our basement done. High Tech was able to meet or exceed all of our expectations to provide us with a beautifully finished basement. All of the staff were professional, knowledgeable, skilled and reliable. We are repeat clients as High Tech also finished our basement in our last home. We had a complete basement renovation done at our home (including 3-piece bathroom and bar). We did a lot of research prior to choosing High Tech Renovation. We chose to go with High Tech Renovation after meeting and discussing our vision and budget with Dmitry. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful when it came to working through the design with us, explaining the process and timelines, and what we should expect. The renovation was extremely well organized. Questions were addressed in a timely manner by either Alex or Dmitry. All of the workers were respectful and courteous. We had them install custom cabinetry and wood shelves that turned out awesome! We love our new finished basement. Thanks to Alex, Dimity, and the High Tech Renovation team. Highly recommend!!

Well, 6-mths have passed since the HTR crew completed our basement and we are still extremely satisfied.

Payments were made in stages as the work was completed. When a shower tile cracked months later, HTR returned and made the repair without question.

Very professional and on time. I highly recommend HTR. Our home is now complete.

Add a bathroom plus one bedroom. Also fireplace and TV room, plus a Gym area. Fantastic work!

My wife and I hired Alex/Dmitry based on their reviews and we could not be happier. I had a finished basement that they completely gutted and rebuilt from top to bottom and created a legal apartment for my aging parents. They also did a separate side entrance with heated concrete. I am very particular and they did an amazing job...they nailed it from the design to the finished project. It is hard to trust someone with this size project but we had no issues. We had a payment plan and paid after each step was completed. Anyone is welcome to come by and see the finished project anytime...I actually want to show it off. THANK YOU GUYS !!!!
