Elcon Contracting Inc

We hired Elcon to remove an old deck and install a new patio. Their workmanship was excellent. We've since moved, but when we decide to change our current patio we'll be sure to give Elcon another call. Highly recommended.

I received 4 quotes. Elcon Contracting stood out. They were onsite the next day for a free estimate, offered a concrete base, and was the only contractor with a FIVE year warranty. Professionalism at its best. I feel confident these stones are not going to move with the weight of a car. Thank you Elcon!

Once they show up (which was three months later than they told us), the work was done well.
However, there were three issues:
1. During a conversation about the dimension of the stairs and landing, they failed to accurately inform us of how much of landing would be left. David inaccurately showed us how much landing would be left over and this lead to a smaller than desired landing. Had we known we would have made adjustments to the tread depth to make the landing larger but it was too late.
2. What made the problem worse, and largely contributes to the rating, was when discussing the issue they were defensive and blamed me. They were repeatedly condescending saying "I didn't think we needed to explain simple math".
3. Lastly, they didn't install the railing which was clearly discussed verbally and via text message, but since they were mad about our conversations regarding the first problem, and it wasn't in the contract they decided they wouldn't complete the railing install. They said they would call the next week and they never called back.

Elcon Contracting Inc. completed a large project for us including entire driveway, walkways, flagstone porch, patio, pergola and all around LED lighting. I challenged them to ensure nothing looked better in the neighbourhood. And they definitely rose to the challenge! They are professional, reliable and have incredible attention to detail. Elder takes pride in his workmanship and his final results are a piece of art. He will walk you through every part of the project to insure you are pleased with every stone he places. We were extremely pleased with how our renovation came together and would highly recommend Elcon Contracting Inc. to those considering a project. Truly a Cut from Above!

A very nice job done by the team, especially on what you can't see. The team dug a couple feet down and poured concrete below the finished surface. Very confident that this job will be timeless. Thanks very much guys for a quality job!!
