We are repeat customers of Eaves Experts and used them for all our eaves issues This job involved cleaning out our eaves and having them install guards in two separate visits. Fast, efficient and reasonably priced. We would not go anywhere for their services.

I have been with Metro for many years now through a number of name changes but always followed Ken Dale. He is always seeking to improve his operation through innovations that coonect with customers. His e-mail bulketins are must read and I loke the way he lays out the “plan of attack” when a storm is expected. He also passes on helpful hints and insights betwen storms (often with clever humour) and keeps customers apprised during storms when there are circumstances that affect Metro’s response (like drivers’ time-on-task) . Ken and team is also open to hearing if a customer is inadvertently missed )politely of course). It is all about managing expectations in an operation that involves factors that are beyond Ken’s control during the worst of what Mother Nature has to “offer” us here in the Ottawa area. I highly recommend Metro for snowplowing service each winter.

We "followed" Ken to Metro this year because of how well we received service when he ran the operation for his previous employer. We also recommended him to other neighbours egi eventually signed on. We felt that Metro easily outperformed all the "other guys" and we especially appreciate the regular, gentle-humoured newsletters as well as the tractor alerts by e-mail. Particularly impressive is the timing of windrow removal after the city plows come by. We will definitely renew with Ken for next winter and always do so within days of receiving a contract offering to ensure that we remain "on the list". We would not go "with anyone else", it is that simple.

So far, I have no complaints about Reliance Protectron. I recommend Reliance Protectron because of the technology provided and monthly cost of monitoring as well as dealing with the head office when it was required.

I have been using Appleseed for the past several years and have been most satisfied with the service such that when I receive the renewal contract each fall, I return mine with the two cheques within a week (if not sooner), sometimes hand-delivering them to the office so I can guarantee that 'I will be on the list” just in case there could be a capacity issue. Snow removal is essentially a 'specialized system' and Ken and his staff have made a real effort to optimize theirs, given the uncertainties that exist with Mother Nature and city street plowing operations. I especially appreciate Ken's e-mail updates, both for the information provided and for the humour in a season that inherently does have much . The GPS Tractor notifications are also most useful for optimum vehicle placement if we are at home. I am impressed with the amount of time between the windrow deposit from the city street plow and the arrival of the Appleseed tractor to remove it. On the very few occasions that I have had to contact the office, in person or by phone, I was treated most kindly and professionally by the staff. Over the years, we have recommended Appleseed to a number of neighbours who have become repeat clients like we are and we all feel that we receive good value for the cost of the contract. Others in my neighbourhood (Copeland Park, east of Maitland) must feel the same way as a large majority have the Appleseed markers at the end of their driveways.
