Needed a gas line for our bbq -- George and his father did the work in timely fashion with no fuss and no mess. Various options were outlined to me, leading to an informed decision and an effective result. Quite happy.

Roman and Sam removed a cast iron bathtub (300-350 lb.), exercise machine and a large bag of insulation from my basement. The cost of the bathtub had been negotiated with the dispatcher; the additional items were negotiated quickly to mutual satisfaction. Sam and Roman worked quickly and carefully with a difficult load. I was satisfied then and remain so.

Bernardo has been doing our windows for 11 years and always does a good job, quickly and quietly. The price mentioned above is for a large house with old-fashioned aluminum storms, inside and out (his term is 4 sides), which is a bear of a job, because the old storms are such a hassle to handle. When they do just two sides, the cost is much less. The thing I really appreciate is their care. Our previous company broke a window and claimed it was already broken; the other day I watched a cleaner for a familiar-name company totally trash a little tree while putting his ladder up, and several years ago saw another name-brand cleaner crush the house's aluminum eavestroughs by positioning the ladder incorrectly. People seem to think anyone can do this job, but Bernardo brings skill (including some neat tricks of the trade that I won't disclose) and care to the work.

Gusmeet did a furnace check and general annual service quietly, quickly and neatly - exactly what I want. My only criticism is that although this is included in an inclusive service plan, I had to call and prompt the office that this had not yet been done this year; their excuse was a new computer system. The $1.00 cost is nonsense - a number is demanded, but this service is part of a plan, and it makes no sense to quote the plan cost, since it includes parts and labour in the event of a breakdown.

Gator was our contractor's choice for new basement windows when we first renovated the house. Later they added a glass block wall to our bathtub to form a shower in what had formerly been a bath alone. More recently, they have replaced a couple of windows on the third floor (one of which was difficult to get at). They have been really helpful, polite and considerate, even when (in one instance) it was clear that our old house had thrown a wicked curve at them. Strongly recommended.

While investigating a problem with an old skylight this fall (2009 - also fixed by Quality Restorations), we noticed that the mortar in the upper portion of the chimney on our 1905 house was badly deteriorated. Quality Restorations erected scaffold, dismantled the bad bit and found the liner was perforated. They quickly obtained a replacement and finished off the job, leaving the surrounding area cleaner than when they came. The finished job is neatly done; I never expected new brick to be a perfect match for 100-yr-old brick, but this is a surprisingly good match for the original. We are very happy and can confidently recommend QR's services.
