    AC Repair

    I’ve been a Belyea Bros. customer for a number of years. I purchased their Safety and Maintenance Plan (SMP) each year for my boiler and air conditioner because it includes a free annual inspection, discount on repairs and priority response over non-plan customers. Although I’d purchased these plans each year, I never really took full advantage of the benefits, except for the annual inspection until recently. During the hottest day of the year, my air conditioner failed. I called Belyea and they told me that due to the high volume of calls they would not be able to visit until well into the following week. However, after advising them I was a longstanding SMP member, they advised that they would be able to come within the next couple days. Later that morning they called back and said that a technician could come later in the day. Dylan arrived in the afternoon and replaced the capacitor on my compressor to get the system working again. Thanks Belyea for the great service. You get “two thumbs up”.

    Install New Split-Type Air Conditioner

    Jamieson, their system consultant, was very knowledgeable. His advice for the size of units (BTU's) was absolutely correct. The installation led by Jit went very smoothly and on time. From initial contact to installation all parties very professional. We are very happy with the unit.

    replace gas pipe

    I give Belyea Brothers a high score as they were accessible and responsive. They moved fast to fix a problem that came up and I was able to speak with the owner after hours on a Friday night, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the gas pipe needed to be replaced, but I appreciated Belyea Bros calling when they said they would and communicating with me every step that needed to happen and the costs. As a new home owner, I was really stressed and not enjoying using vacation days (and the associated costs) for unexpected home repairs; however I can’t imagine better people showing up than Paul and Gio to deal with such a grim situation. They were friendly, explained everything clearly, reassuring and I trusted they were going to do a good job. Which they did.

    Service Air conditioner

    We have our heating and a/c and water heater plan with Belyea and they are prompt and professional. The technicians who come here are accommodating in that they are here to help you and fix your problem. Just recently Anthony checked our a/c. He is a nice, knowledgeable young man and the service call was a pleasant experience.

    Call them if you want the Most Expensive Solution to your problem

    Called these guys when our AC broke. The tech who came was very polite but was basically trying to get us to pay for work we didn't need. Did maintenance for $180 and then charged $130.00 for diagnosing the problem. First thing he did was show me leaks around my machine that had never happened before he showed up. Then he gave me a quote for about $3,000 to fix my problem - $900 for a test (for that kind of $, I expect new hardware!), $400-500 for more refrigerant, and $1,500 for a new coil. This seemed like overkill and very suspect. So we paid for maintenance and diagnostic but that was it. Called another company and they fixed it for $300 (mostly the cost of new refrigerant).

    Red tagged furnace serviced

    First time use of Belyea for furnace repair and I was very happy with the service. They were professional from start to finish. Someone answered the phone on the first call, made an appointment window time and set up a 30 minute notification call in advance of the technician's arrival, as it was a tenanted property (very convenient for me). Dillon, the technician, was very efficient and knowledgeable about the furnace. He went about verifying the problem identified by Enbridge in the red tag, from multiple approaches and fixed the issues. He was safety focused and verified all aspects of the operation of the furnace to confirm it was safe to operate (CO2 levels at heat exchanger, gas leakage using meter for verification, soapy water to check for leaks at locations identified by Enbridge, smelling for leakage). It's an old furnace in an older home. I appreciate that Dillon did not try to up-sell me a new furnace, as seems to be the all-to-often approach of many other HVAC contractors. The company was clear about the cost of the service, which included an initial call-out fee and then a service fee, once the problem was identified and fixed. Everything was fair, professional, quick and transparent...exactly what I'm looking for in a service provider! Should the need arise, I would use Beylea again and would recommend their services.

    Boiler Replacement

    Paul and Gio replaced my old system Boiler for a new NTI hot water tank. The installation is a work of art to look at, very neat and clean !They are Very professional, efficient, courteous and clean. We live in a very old house and the system we had was over 20 years Paul and Gio made sure we are happy and they explained all about the new system and also how to work with this new Thermostat even tough there is a manual. Excellent works and hope my words would keep them as a 10/10 employee ( They both deserve it)

    Don't let your guard down with a highly rated company!

    My old AC unit is probably from the 70s or 80s. It's been rattling A LOT, probably forcing my neighbours to close their windows at night. So I called Belyea to come look at it, and yes, there was a problem with the fan shaft which was causing the rattling, $900. Ok, let's do it. We scheduled the appt in 2 weeks, but a heat wave was coming, so in the meantime I opened it up just to see what I could see, to mitigate the rattling in any way possible for now, and...I found a loose nut and bolt that was supposed to clamp down a bracket. I tightened it up, and...quiet AC unit. No rattle. Cancelled Monday's service call. Lesson: don't let your guard down, even with the highest rated Homestars people. I almost spent $900 for a job that required $0 in parts and 5 minutes of my own labour! *NOTE:* They were actually very nice and professional! And no doubt they have a high standard on those points. They also offered to reimburse me for the original service call.

    Very professional, efficient, courteous and clean.

    I phoned Belyea to get a quote for an A/C installation in an older home for my 90 year old mother. The salesperson on the phone took lots of time to explain options to me and then arranged for Bruce to meet with us to get a quote and explain the installation procedure. He was very thorough. Then we didn't need to wait more than a week for the installation which was done by Damien and Jake who were super nice and professional and left the work site clean and just like before they started. Everyone, (including the electrician they arranged for us) was very pleasant to have around and did their jobs in a fast and efficient manner. I would use Belyea Brothers again in a heartbeat. I guess there is a reason why they've been around since 1908!

    Service call and maintance

    They installed my hot water (tankless) and furnace in 2010 had to get maintance for the first time today. Anthony came promptly and fixed everything! This is a good company and the service is great.
