Locate and fix mystery leak inside wall

Arrived when they said they would (a rarity in itself). Friendly and anxious to minimize damage. Established location of leak with minimal damage to walls and ceiling and fixed it. Very careful to not make more of a mess than he had to and cleaned up what little mess was made. Only quibble was that application of a little more logic might have avoided the necessity of cutting a hole in the bathroom wall but ... Turns out leak was caused by original builder (20 years ago) putting a dry wall nail through the down pipe and filling the hole with what appeared to be drywall compound that eventually fell out! Not an easy thing to find.

    Answer from pro:

It's a tricky thing finding this type of leak. We always try to follow the path of least resistance (minimal damage and restorative work for the home owner)when accessing piping. Thank you.

Plumbing, fixed some leaking pipes/ taps.

The work performed was satisfactory. All leaks were fixed. However, the plumber finished the job in 1 hr and 50 minutes. Then he went to his van and took 20 minutes to write up the invoice. He charged for 2.5 hrs. Another point of contention was that he was on the phone several times during the service. And finally, he kept "forgetting" stuff in his truck so he kept walking back to the truck. He must have went back to his truck at least 20 times. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work, but was not happy about being charged for 2.5 hrs for 1.5 hrs of work.

We have brought this review to the attention of the service man that was on site. I would encourage any one to call our office immediately if they feel the time being charged is not accurate. Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with this feedback.

Company was hired to plumb my new second story addition

I recently added a second story to my bungalow. I hired DanMac to complete the rough in plumbing to the new second floor Bathroom. Their price was extremely competitive and they did an excellent job. The work site was kept very clean and where they had to cut into the lower floors they did it with great skill and minimized the damage that they had to do to make the couplings. I was very happy with their service and would both highly recommend them and use them again myself.

I'm happy your renovation project went so smoothly. It's great when a plan comes togher. We are glad to have been a part of it.

    Basement drain blockage

This company might be fine for industrial and commercial drain work but I would not recommend them at all for residential drain work. Their estimate was several hundred dollars less than another company but their heavy equipment badly damaged a mature tree and left my front lawn looking like a construction site. In retrospect, I now suspect that the other estimate was a more accurate reflection of what a proper residential job should have cost.

    Answer from pro:

The majority of our work in the past 25 years has been in the residential repair and construction industry. I have brought this review to the attention of our heavy equipment operator as well as the job site foreman and neither recalls doing any damage to any trees or shrubbery. If they did indeed damage a tree they were unaware of it. On behalf of the crew please accept our apology. Thank you for taking the time to submit your input.
