Drain from my home to the City sewage system plugged.

Found DanMac randomly in 2009 and had them fix my home plumbing issues I run into back then. I kept their contact information on the record since then and phoned them when I found myself in trouble again couple of days ago. Professional - everyone there - the office and the field guys I have dealt with. I hope they stay in businesses - but that should be rather easy with the way they Service their Customers.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your compliments. We're glad you were happy with the service and the price. Repeat business is the best business.

    Blocked Drain for kitchen sink.

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING HIRING DANMAC AND HAVE ANY HESITATION. DO NOT !!!!!!!!! THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. VERY FAIR PRICING.10 OUT 10 IS CORRECT. This drain has been blocking every few months. I have had a number of companies come to the house and snake and power wash. But within a few months same issue. I needed to have the concrete broken up in the basement and the drain replaced. I had a number of contractors come to the house to give an estimate. DanMac sent Adam who was great. He knew what he was talking about and put an estimate together that was much more reasonable than others. Chris and Jason that did the work were clean, efficient and professional. THIS IS THE WAY BUSINESS IS EARNED. VERY SATISFIED Nav Brampton.

    Flooded basement

North York Women's Centre is a community-based agency that provides free support services for women. We are housed in space that is donated to us rent-free and have very little money for maintenance and repairs. Before we moved in and renovated the premises, our location was a restaurant, complete with a commercial kitchen and all the grease that goes with it. Our drains were blocked with grease and this resulted in frequent basement flooding that was both messy and foul-smelling. DanMac Plumbing came to our rescue!!! After conducting a camera inspection of the drainage system, they disconnected the grease-trap, snaked the main drain and sewer line and power flushed the main drain. Once they were done, they conducted the camera inspection one final time to confirm that the drain was working satisfactorily. That was three months ago, and we haven't had a problem with basement flooding since. The cost: $0. Because we are a charity, DanMac generously agreed to donate their services. Aside from doing a fabulous job of the plumbing, DanMac staff was a pleasure to work with. They were polite, respectful and accommodating, and showed sensitivity to the fact that the women who use our services may have experienced abuse. The piece de resistance: they left the basement spotless! We didn't have to lift a finger. DanMac was referred to us by a member of our staff, who was very satisfied with plumbing work they had done in her home last summer. We are so glad that she connected us with them. We extend our sincere thanks to Stewart and his team, for a job well done!

Replace all sewer lines, rough ins, floor drains, sump pump and back water valve install

DanMac was recommended to us by the contractors excavating my existing basement slab. Danmac exposed and removed all existing clay drain pipes and replaced them with PVC. They also replaced the exposed cast iron stacks with PVC. I did not have time to pin point the new toilet, shower and tub drains (I was going to suspend a weight on a string above the exact location) but with little guidance the plumbers assigned to my job were able to use my drawings to put in the rough-ins. After I had gutted the basement there was an old vent and drain pipe left over from the old basement bathroom which connected with the bathtub on the main floor. Danmac cleverly re-routed the drain against the basement wall so that I would have the maximum flexibility in finishing my basement. The crew communicated well with me with regards to the proposed location of the sump pit/pump and where water from it would be ejected to. They also pointed out to me that I have a trap just outside my house which I may have to address at a later time. Thanks to Stewart for checking up on me periodically and ensuring the job was done to their standards.

    Answer from pro:

Our staff are very professional. Our goal is to train each member of our team to be a leader and take charge of the job. The finished product speaks for itself. Thank you.

    Main Drain

Recently encountered what I thought to be a major world crisis which would change and effect mankind forever as we know it. In an instance at our residence for reasons unknown, the major artery of any residential plumbing systems ceased operation. OMG, what the hay is going on and what was I going to do? Unfortunately no super hero's were listed in the yellow pages so I settled for the next thing that common sense had within vision, the local plumbing company Danmac Plumbing & Drain Service. Thankfully my call of distress at Danmac came to the rescue. Overall SATISFACTION AND RECOMMENDING this company is priceless. I was promised the best and received just that from beginning to end. Thanks Victor and Kevin!

    Answer from pro:

Yes mankind will be forever indebted to our company for our heroic efforts. It's all in a days work:) Thank you for your kind words of support. I will pass them on to Victor and Kevin.

    Clogged bathroom pedestal sink

My pedestal sink in the main bathroom was clogged. I used baking soda and vinegar to unclog it many times and it worked until it stopped working. In late January 2011, a DanMac plumber was doing other work in my house paid through my insurer. I contracted with him to look at my sink. It needed to be snaked and the pop-up sink drain and p-trap needed to be replaced. The pipes coming into the pedestal sink are in a tight location, but the DanMac plumber did a fine job with skill and patience. I was very happy at the time except that a few months later I was experiencing sink clogging again. I called DanMac and they said that I would be charged again for someone to come out. The problem was that I couldn't remove the pop-up in the sink drain like I could with my old one to remove any debris. The DanMac plumber installed a cheaper model pop-up that was fused. I would have gone for a more expensive one that could have been removed but I wasn't offered the choice nor did I know to ask. So I had to spend more money to fix this again but I used another plumber. So I wasn't completely happy with DanMac.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your feedback. I have passed this on to our technician to ensure that in the future he presents the customer with all of the options.

    Installation of sump pump

I hired DanMac because they were recommended by a company that was doing a waterproofing project for me. They had to install a sump pump for me and feed a pipe through a joist to the exterior of the house. The owner of the company (Stewart) is a good guy. He came on site and we discussed some other possible projects and I never felt like he was pressuring me to do work or trying to squeeze out extra money from me. He recommended doing some things and holding off on others. Unfortunately, the day the job was to be done, the plumber who was coming to take care of it arrived closer to noon when he was supposed to be there between 9 and 10:30. When I followed up just after 10:30, the dispatcher was unaware that he was not on site. Now, the property is a rental property, and I was not able to be there to let them in, but my tenant was on site. When I arrived in the evening to inspect the work, I was surprised to see that two holes had been punched into the ceiling drywall i n the main basement area. One was so far away from where the pipe was supposed to be directed, I couldn't conceive of why the plumber had made that decision. The pipe was supposed to have been fed out through the furnace room, but it ended up being fed along the wall that was waterproofed (not a big deal), but I was not consulted about the change in location or the punching of holes in the wall. I would have appreciated a phone call. Stewart dealt with the complaint promptly. He met me on site the next business day and has agreed to compensate me for the damage. We have yet to settle up, so I will amend this review (positively or negatively) depending on how things go. Update: Stewart kept to his word and discounted the invoice to compensate me for the cost of the repair work.

    Answer from pro:

We are happy that things were dealt with and you received the discount that yo had requested. As for the timing we do our best to be on time. Sometimes the window we give customers is too tight, but with everyones busy schedules we try to accomodate them. Thank you.

    Replace laundry tub

Had my old porcelain laundry tub replaced and old walls in surround removed. Job was relatively quick and now we have a functional tub without leaking taps. They hauled away the rubble and cleaned up after the job. Will be using them again for future home repairs and maintenance.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. It is much appreciated.

    Basement drains, rough-in, backwater valve

Stewart's team did the plumbing work in our basement when we had the basement lowered. They replaced all the basement drains, installed a sump pump and a backwater valve. They were easy to work with, friendly, and answered a few follow-up questions promptly. The work was done professionally and no problems with inspection. They even moved a section of our main stack to accommodate where a new bathroom shower stall would be installed -- they noticed this would be a problem and offered to move it, no charge. I'm very happy with their service and plan to call them back when we're ready to actually put in the new basement bathroom.

    Answer from pro:

Our "drain crew" is certainly a very well run, co-ordinated group of professionals committed to doing a great job every time. Thank you for your very generous complements. The management.
