Called in the morning and they arrived a couple hours later to repair the broken spring. Very prompt professional service. Excellent company to deal with. Would recommend them for any garage door repair.

We had two single-car wooden garage doors which needed to be replaced. We got quotations from three companies via HomeStars and a fourth from Costco. Dodds was one of the two companies who sent a sales representative, and they were the only company to spend time explaining their product and providing a catalog with photos of their doors. Dodd's price was in the middle of the range, within $200 of two other quotations. We chose Dodds because their doors had Polyurethane insulation and upgraded hardware, and they had a great rating at HomeStars. In late August, 2019, five weeks after we accepted their quotation, Dodds supplied and installed the tracks and doors and the door openers which we supplied. The installation took a full day and it was obvious that the installer was a professional with many years of experience. I was surprised that the job could be done by a single person, but the installation was done to perfection and the installer removed the old doors and openers and swept the garage. He programmed all of the remote controls and helped me program the remote control in my car. A few weeks later a two-man team installed the aluminum capping around the outside of the trim in front of the doors. The new doors have insulated windows and it's unbelievable how bright our garage is when the doors are closed. Although the new openers turn on the lights automatically when they sense motion, the lights really aren't needed during the day. We have had several comments from our guests and neighbours about how nice our new doors look, and we agree. Like many others here at HomeStars, I would recommend Dodds to install you garage doors.

Dodds is a reliable, competitively priced service. I can refer them directly to my clients or work with them to choose the right door for our projects. Their installers are experienced and do the work right the first time.

Word of advice, don't let the installer leave unless the job is finished. The guys were missing a bunch of parts when the showed up, and even after a trip back to get them, they still didn't have all the weatherstripping they needed. After a month of emails and phone calls, I'm getting nowhere. It's a 60 second job to finish! Unbelievable. And they also split my roof truss (I didn't notice until after the fact), with a massive lag bolt, that probably needed a pilot hole. Just brutal service, and I'm still trying to get a response from them. Again, read your sign-off notice closely, and do a close inspection of their work. The have no respect for people's property, and left cut metal, screws and garbage all over the garage too. Will never recommend these guys. UPDATE: I eventually contacted the president, who quickly had someone back to finish the job. I shouldn't have to go through all these hoops. Although I'm appreciative that the president got the weatherstripping installed quickly, that simply doesn't erase the bad experience.

Recently had issues with both the garage doors opening randomly throughout the day. Wasn't sure what it was but Dodds had done the install 6 years ago and we never had any issues untill now. Called Dodds and explained my situation and they were able to have a service tech come by later that day. He recognized the issue and did a reset of my system and once again everything is working fine again.

One of the garage door openers was not working correctly. I had the other two units serviced at the same time. The repair was done promptly and the doors work great now.

Called to install garage door openers. Extremely satisfied with the recommended product, the installation and the customer service. When an error was made with payment method, they called immediately to advise and apologize for the error. I would highly recommend them.
