Old door had been damaged years ago and we were having difficulty getting it to stay down. Previous times called Dodds and suggested remediation given over the phone worked; however, this time nothing was working so made decision a new door was required as possible old door damage was causing enough of a vibration to throw off motor calibrations. Salesman was very professional, Garaga Doors were on sale - so we went with this (Canadian product - Yeah!). Salesman gave lengthy time frame due to excessive orders, and was extremely close with his guestimate. Installer arrived within time frame and worked diligently on putting in the new door. Initially worked well, but then old problem resurfaced and made decision for new motor to be installed. Again Installer was on time - offered us a choice of his fixing the old or going with new (which would have warranty) - we went with new and he did an excellent job, although closing worked for 1 day, then old problem arose. He was unable to come due to an emergency at another location on the day stated, but came 1st thing the next day. Door is currently working like a charm. Thank you Dodds.
October 17, 2015: I did not originally have a problem with Dodds, however, early this summer I realized that the new runners for the door are much longer than the previous runners making it impossible to easily access a small cupboard on the side of the garage (did not notice it earlier as I only use what's in the cupboard late spring/early summer). Communication between Dodds and myself promised a quick remediation - our last communication was July 17, 2015.... since then no one has called to arrange to have the runner cut. Not great follow up service for this small issue!
