    Two Garage Doors in Richmond Hill

    Like the previous reviewer from Richmond Hill, we had a very positive experience with Dodd's Garage Door Systems all the way through. The sales rep walked us through all our options and provided detailed examples and photos that helped us understand how it would look. In addition to the doors, we had new openers installed. The installer arrived on-time, and did a very professional job, giving great attention to doing a neat and precise installation. We've had the doors for a few weeks and have been greatly impressed by their quality. You can really feel the improved insulating qualities. Before selecting Dodds I read extensive reviews and have to confirm they truly deserve their top-notch ratings. I not only would recommend Dodds, I already have.

    Double Garage Door Replacement

    First of all, I am sorry for writing the review little late. I had the service completed by June 30th of this year. From the first day of Michael coming over to our house giving us a quote to the end day of the completion, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Michael was very punctual, polite, professional and a good listener. He offered us different styles and made a suggestion based on the look of our window and exterior color of our house. As for the installation day, a gentleman named Omar was our technician. He arrived to our house earlier than scheduled time, and we were so happy about it. He informed us about the doors and told us what he was going to do. AS a summary, he finished installing 2 garage doors by himself in about 6 hours. Not only he did an amazing job, but he also was very clean and cleaned up after the project was done. Overall, we are very pleased with the service provided by Dodds, and would definitely recommend them to our friends and relatives. Also special thanks to Angela for her time and service by emailing us back and forth.

    garage door opener

    We needed a new garage door opener, springs and coils for our garage door, Chris, from Dodds Garage Door Systems came. He was very professional, finished the job under an hour. Great service. Thanks Chris and Dodds Garage Door Systems!

    New garage door

    Michael responded quickly and provide site inspection and estimated promptly. He even allowed a last minute change to the design of the door. Les did the installation a couple of weeks later promptly and professionally. All is well. Delivered as promised. Highly recommended.

    New carriage-style garage doors

    Thank you so much for our new garage doors—we love it! Michael was very helpful and knowledgeable during our in-house consultation. He explained everything in detail and the whole project was completed within the time frame that was given to us. Victor, the installer, was superb. He was prompt, efficient and friendly. Clean-up was excellent—the driveway and garage were left clean. These new doors definitely give a clean and updated look to our house. We are happy with the service and craftsmanship that Dodds rendered so we will definitely be recommending them to our family and friends.

    New Garage Door, Opener

    On May 1st made an agreement with this company for my 16X7 PU insulated new garage door with insulated glasses on it and sidemount opener. They said 3.5-4 weeks but came to install on July 4th. Unfortunately the door was shorter of its height, wrong door came to me. They said another 1-1.5 month and I canceled the same day they paid my 1,400$ deposit. on August 21.

    We have reviewed this situation and wish to apologize to Mr. Tan. Quite simply we dropped the ball. Our factory shipped the wrong size door and after we notified our estimator he did not convey to head office that the customer had decided to cancel the order. The customer's refund was credited to his visa on August 12 the day after it came to our attention and the customer was notified thereof the same day. This was 4 days prior to the customer posting the above review? For the record credit card companies can take up to 30 days to post a credit to a holders' card, a factor that is totally beyond our control. We would never knowingly withhold a refund to a client and our record speaks for itself.

    garage repair

    Called Tuesday morning, in at 2, finished by 3. I have 2 door garage, spring on one broke, reason for call. Other door, seldom use, and noted to be off kilter, but I wasn't going to fix it . Repairman noted all it needed was cables. He fixed both doors, and was very helpful in telling me about maintenance and preventing my second door from being opened. would use them again.

    Garage Door repair

    When my garage door's cable broke and it wouldn't open or close, I had to quickly find a company to fix it. I had heard about Dodd's on the radio so I emailed them for an appointment. JP confirmed my booking, John came to do the work - very efficient. I also asked about replacing my garage doors since they were older but upon inspection (I sent photos online), I was told they didn't need replacing and I could just change the weatherstripping. I appreciated their professionalism and honesty, and would definitely call them again for any garage-related problems.

    Replace Garage Door

    After shopping around for a garage door for my Dad several years ago, we decided on Dodds and were very happy with the outcome. So when the time came to replace my own garage door I went with Dodds. The Salesmen was very helpful pointing me to the Garaga Doors site where I could see how different doors looked on a picture of my house. The installers where very professional and the work was done quickly. They followup after the installation to ensure everything was to my liking. I had a small concern with how the weather stripping sealed and they quickly followed up and corrected the issue. I'm very happy with my garage door and the service provided by Dodds. I would highly recommend them.

    Replaced original 2-door 1-piece with a new door

    Overall, Dodds was very good, from the in-home consultation through the installation, which included removal of the old 1-piece and capping. The door is of good quality and installation looks and operates great, my garage and driveway were left clean and I was given direction on maintaining my door. Neighbours have complemented the work. I passed on all of the information about what I ordered to my neighbour, who is thinking of doing his door. I would make two recommendations to make the overall experience better: 1) I called when Garaga doors were on sale, but didn't realize until after the deal was struck that I had actually been sold a CHI door. I'm content with the door, but not sure if I paid what I would have paid if I had gotten the Garaga door. I would like to have seen the choice offered to me. 2) The capping needed to be done by a different person, and as a result, I had to change my plans because that person had a schedule requiring them to travel across the city (probably not the most fun -- and I'm appreciative of the effort after what was likely already a very long day). I'd recommend letting customers know in advance if multiple installers are doing the work.
