    Lawn care service

DO NOT HIRE. Go to Home depot and buy your own products, I contracted Dr. Green last summer, and they promised to leave my lawn healthy and weed-free. When they applied their products, however, I was left with more weeds that I had begun with. My lawn is in the worst condition it has ever been; and they blame the dry season. I've gotten better results in the past buying products and applying them myself. This year they came and began more applications while no one was home. Upon discovering this, I called to let them know I wasn't interested. They then attempted to convince me that the contract is renewal automatically and that I had signed that contract. I asked them to send me copy of the contract and what I received was an invoice with interest, threating me to take me to COLLECTIONS!

    Groupcon followed by full Service

Very unhappy will Dr. Green as my lawn was over-fertilized killing most of it. Repeated requests have not been responded to by Jason, the Edmonton franchise owner. My wife and I have been struggling with the weeds and a burnt lawn while we wait for Dr. Green to repair the damage it did. I cancelled the service yet Dr. Green continues trying to bill me for killing our lawn. I would not recommend Dr. Green's services to anyone as they do not understand accountability just hitting and running. Fortunately, the recent heavy rains have brought half of the lawn back to life plus an infestation of weeds.

    Lawn Care - Ya right!

This is THE WORST company I have EVER dealt with. I can not believe they are still in business ripping people off. If only I would have read reviews on them before I signed up for their "services". I am so angry with this company and have so much that I could write...but will not bore you with the details. To sum it up: they NEVER completed the spring aeration until Sept. as well as not showing up when they were supposed to, finding my "write - ups" at the neighbours yard etc. etc. If you ever call or email customer service, you will NEVER be put through to a manager. They REFUSE to refund any money. It wasn't until I threatened small claims court (after fighting them for 6 months) that the Calgary Branch manager decided to actually return my calls. Long story short he finally decided to make things right and refund my aeration (as the machine had completely destroyed my grass by leaving burn marks everywhere) and come out to make things right the following spring. Well Spring is here, I have not forgotten and have attempted to contact Gregory Novak on more than one occasion...surprise surprise, it has been another 7 weeks and noone has shown up, let alone have I had a courtesy phone call in response to any of my emails or calls. I HATE Doctor Green! I will make it my sole mission to ensure that I rate them anywhere and everywhere so no one else gets ripped of from these incompetent losers ever again. You dont believe me???? Read the other 360 crappy reviews!

    Dr Green Lawn Service

I decided to give Dr. Green a try this season much against my wife's wishes, and signed up for the "Very Best Plan + Aeration + Grub Control + over seeding" and paid in advance, which was my biggest mistake. They came out to my property for the "very best first treatment" to fertalize April 9th, no issue. They then came back on May 13th for the "very best second visit" and did not do the aeration or over seeding. I called the office and asked why this had not been done to which they responded, not to worry we will be doing the aeration in the next couple weeks seperately and its too early for overseedeing, we'll be back. I remarked how the weeds had not been affected by the first treatment so they revisited to "retreat fertalizer" on May 15th......still no aeration or overseeding. A couple days after this (May 23 -23) they visited my property to do the aeration but were unable to do so as i had not marked the underground sprinklers. I have an above ground system through the beds and ONE head underground that is VERY visible, they left me markers to mark the heads which i duly attended to. I called the office and complained as i had given all this information to the assistant on my last call. June 6th, i arrive home to find a note from Dr. Green. MUST MARK SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR AERATION, the tech must have been blind as the markers were, and STILL are in place as requested. I called the office June 7th, to speak to a supervisor which was very frustrating as one was not available but they would get one to call back!! Eventually i get a call back by a supervisor who was no help at all so i asked to escalte my dissatisfaction to the next level but again no one was availabel to talk to me but someone would call me back within 10 minutes. A DAY LATER AND I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK from Dr. Green. I still await my aeration that i wanted in the spring along with over seeding so i could at least have 2-3 weeks of early season watering for the grass to get established. I WILL NOT be using DR. GREEN ever again and believe they are not worthy of a rating!!

    Lawn Care

My story is the same as Vicki's from Edmonton. Repeated calls and promises from their head office but no service. Next step is to dispute through my cc. Horrible service, no refund policy even if they never show up. Dear Courtney, Thank you for your canned response to my posting, I appreciate the time and effort you put into it. I would simply ask that you do one or both of the following: 1. complete ( or at the very least start) the work I paid you to do. or 2. refund my payment in full. Thank you.

    Lawn Care

DO NOT USE DR. GREEN as your lawn care service. After several calls asking them to call first, because I have a dog, and them treating my front lawn, but not the back I decided to cancel the lack of service. Today, was the 4th time I called them to cancel, but they continue to come out an treat my lawn! Impossible to deal with a call centre. And they continue to charge me $112.40 per visit, twice a month!

    weed removal, fertilization, aeration

We never purchase packages like this, as we have always done the work ourselves. This time, since my parents are older and unable to, my dad signed up with the rep who came to our door. Since then, they never came back (almost a month ago). Our lawn is infested with dandelions and my dad is out there right now digging them up. He has called them many times and no one came. You would think they would care especially since their sign is up on our lawn, I wish I read these reviews before we got their service! GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!! Oh, and don't bother copying and pasting your generic reply, my dad has already to talked to you and you were no help whatsoever.

    Lawn care

Frustrated and disappointment would describe it. I used and paid in advance for Dr.Green services early in 2012 for 2012 season only. The lawn by the fall looked in bad shape. In the fall, Dr. Green called to offer service for some kind of worms, mosquitos, etc. I called them twice to cancel the service and let the sales department (which calls in the weekends and evenings) know I am not interested in the service and to please to stop the service and remove me from future calls. The person I spoke to seemed to understand. Surprise! I got the first bill for 2013. I called the and they asked me for the reference number. I do not have that but I did call them twice last year and also let the sales department know. Dr. Green's customer service said: well, our sales department cannot do that. If a company does not communicate internally is not my problem but the fact that they feel they could auto renew without consent, EVEN AFTER, I called and talked to them is pushing the limits. Even after my phone call, a young person came to apply the service three days later, this time I was home, and I stopped him from doing so. He said that he did not have the information and left. However, I got the statement for the second application. To me this is not an ethical way of doing business. Please be very aware of this companies practices. If they come to your property without permission: 1. Dr. Green would be trespassing 2. Dr. Green ethics are questionable and i would like somebody else (rather than the unpleasant woman in customer service) to explain why the obscure and doubtful process.

    Weeds & Fertilizer

The most horrible experience I've had in Canada. I called in April to book the appointments. It took me many calls to get someone take more orders, then received 2 mails for a never shown visits. Over 1 month, I got no action whatsoever. My family and friends said I was just unluckily met a treater. Now, I even had hard time to cancel my order. The customer representative asked you to leave your name, phone, never called you back.Never use this company!

    Dr. Green Services

Never ever give Dr. Green your credit number. I have 2 big problems with Dr. Green Services.. I am trying to cancel the service, but they have not accepted the refund. I asked them to show me contract not to accept the refund, but they never show me the contract. In addition they set auto-renewal without my approval. I keep asking to eliminate the auto-renewal, but do not accept my request until end of season. It means that they will deduct the money from my credit card without my approval if I do not call them in fall. How can they do this? They never accept to eliminate the auto renewal. I suggest nobody gives them your credit card number. Once you give them it, you would have a big big trouble.
