    Service, sewer replacement

Our sewer backed up we contacted Drain Rescue and within two hours Service Technician Denis was at out home. From his inspection of the pipe it was determined that a tree root had grown through and roots had obstructed the pipe. The majority of the blockage was removed which created a temporary fix. Two days later a excavation crew arrived to remove the old pipe and replace with a new pipe. Total work was completed within three days. At the end of each day our yard was left tidy safe and secure. The crew was very friendly, efficient and extremely knowlegible. Upon completion of the job we were very pleased with the condition of the lawn. We have had very good communication with Drain Rescues office staff especially General Manager Melissa. I highly recommend this company. Thank you for a great job!

Lots of digging in the back of my house. replacement of pipes (I presume) and they left the area very tidy. Took only a few days to get the work done.

    find a leak

i called the company regarding a leakage. the representative i spoke to told me that when the technician comes there will be no charge for consultation until when a diagnosis is made and the repair is done. the technician came and couldn't find the leakage or what was wrong. But he insisted that i pay him $50 even he had no clue about the leakage and stated that "found no leak" is a diagnosis. worst experience ever. pls dont use this company The company's representative on the phone was very rude as she also yelled at me and hung up the phone

    Answer from pro:

Upon arriving to this location there was a leak through the ceiling. It was recommended to remove a piece of the drywall and diagnose the exact location of the leak as well as the repair of the leak. This customer did not want to go ahead. It was advised prior to sending the technician about the plumbing service fee and agreed upon. Untrue to say she was not told in advance.

    Sewage Pipe Replacement

We called Drain Rescue on August 15, 2017, and they came first thing next morning to investigate sewer backup. Phil came and ran a snake down the trap outside. He indicated that it was broken and that he wouldn’t be able to snake it further. We agreed to the services of replacing the cleanout and pipe outside. Once he had excavated the land and snaked the pipe from both the inside and the outside of the house, he said that our clay pipes had two collapses and tried to get us to fix the work for an additional $6,000! in addition to the $3000 we had just paid to fix the trap outside. He also said the pipe is on borrowed time and would not last more than a month to pressure us into replacing the entire pipe. We declined the services as the quote was too expensive and found another company, and once they dug in and inspected the pipe, we found no collapses, leaks, or issues with the pipe! What a disappointment that we did unnecessary work based on inaccurate findings provided by Drain Rescue. You should be skeptical of plumbing advice provided by this company.

    Collapsed sewer

We called Drain Rescue because we have used them in the past. Dwayne showed up in 20 mins. We found out that the sewer had collapsed, same problem as our neighbour had. Dwayne was very efficient with getting it replaced and for thousands less than next door. The job site was left so well done that if I didn't see them dig I would have never believed it was done. Thank you for quickly getting our house working again. I would recommend you to everyone.

    Clear Sewer Pipe

I contacted Drain Rescue on February 2nd of this year when I noticed sewer water coming up into my laundry room. I was very concerned, particularly because I have a baby in the house. Their representative told me that the sewer pipe was clogged in front of the house, causing the backup. I suggested I should call the Region of Durham because they had repaired a similar problem a few years prior but the Drain Rescue person insisted that the location of the problem was the home owner's responsibility. He said that a hole would be dug in the front lawn to repair the pipe and a stack installed (for inspection purposes) I told him that a stack had already been installed by the Region. I subsequently found out that he had another stack installed anyway. As well as disrupting my garden in order to install the stack, the workers dismantled a part of a retaining wall. When I asked about it they said they would return in the spring to repair the wall. I subsequently contacted the Region of Durham asking if they would absorb at least a part of the cost because their pipes leading from the house are eroding. They sent out a team who worked for several hours on the pipe and they said that the work that had been done by Drain Rescue had been entirely ineffective, as they had to remove a great deal more dirt and debris to free the pipe. They also stated that Drain Rescue should have advised me to contact the Region as the problem was at a point in the sewer pipe that was the Region's responsibility. They also refused to reimburse me because Drain Rescue had worked on the pipe. I then contacted Drain Rescue who refused to accept responsibility for their actions or to refund any of the $4400 they had charged me. When I contacted them today to find out why they hadn't returned to repair my retaining wall, they stated that they do not repair damage that occurs to landscaping during their services. Please don't use this company...they are not interested in providing excellent customer service, they are only interested in making as much money as possible in as little time possible and taking advantage of the consumer.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for mentioning your job was done in February of this year. We did not receive one complaint from you in the past 6 months, only once you were told that we are not responsible for the finished landscapes (which was written on your invoice that you signed) did you decide to write a negative review. It is unfortunate that you wrote this review in spite. You never once mentioned that you wanted to call Durham Region and subsequently you never called us back at the time that they "refused to reimburse you because Drain Rescue had worked on the pipe. I then contacted Drain Rescue who refused to accept responsibility for their actions" We were never contacted or advised of this allegation. All the work that was being done or not being done (ie landscapes) were outlined on the invoice that you signed. We only do the plumbing and drain portion of work as that is what we specialize in, we are not general contractors or landscapers.

    Kitchen plumbing

I called Drain Rescue and spoke to a very pleasant person who scheduled me right away for a quote. Brian Lawlor (the plumber) arrived on time. He assessed the situation and presented a quote which was far less than I expected. Brian completed the job and the quality of his work far exceeded my expectations., not to mention how professional he was during the entire process. He explained everything, answered my questions and cleaned up the area before leaving. I am so impressed with Drain Rescue Plumbers and Brian that I will tell everyone of this fantastic experience!

Sewer Line repairs, back valve and water shut off valve installation

After suffering through two sewer back up floods in my basement in April, I was not looking forward to the prospect of having the main sewer lines dug up and repaired, sewer back up valve and water shut off valve installed. Drain Rescue made the entire process quick and easy. Melissa and Matt do a very efficient job of organizing the job and the paper work involved. Vasyl and Valerii, who virtually worked non-stop for 3 days to complete the entire process, have an amazing work ethic, professional attitude and proficiency. All my neighbours were so impressed with their dedication. They worked 12 hour days in some of the hottest weather we have had all summer from 8 am - 8 pm. They left my property - inside and out - better than they found it. I am very pleased with the work and am so glad that I contracted Drain Rescue to do this very necessary work.
