    Boiler and water heater replacement

    Our recent boiler (radiant heat system) inspection ended up forcing us to replace our boiler on one of the coldest weekends of the year in February. Mario came in first thing the next morning to give us a quote. He was knowledgeable and gave good recommendations regardless of which quote we went with. We ended up going with him even though his quote was middle ground of the quotes multiple we got. He and his guys were able to get it in right away to replace the boiler and gave us a good deal on a water heater replacement as well. They came back a couple of times to be sure everything was running fine. Would definitely recommend.

    Outdoor Air Conditioner

    I have been a client of Dupont Heating & Air Conditioning for a few years now. Last weekend they surpassed themselves in terms of their service. I needed to have an outdoor air compressor disconnected, reconnected and serviced very quickly due to the fact I am listing my home for sale this week. Last Saturday, I had a workman at my home to replace the wood platform the air conditioner was sitting on as the wood had rotted. He quickly determined he could not do this without disconnecting the air conditioner. I called the answering service for Dupont Heating and left a panicky message. Within one half hour, Mario responded to my call and came to my home to safely disconnect the air conditioner, thereby allowing the workman to repair the platform. Again on Monday, I implored Dupont Heating to return that same day (preferably in the morning) as the weather that day was 20 Celsius with snow expected the very next day with a severe drop in temperature. Again, Mario and his technician Alex arrived by noon on Monday, reconnected and serviced the unit which is now good to go for the summer for the new owners.

    Central Air Conditioning, hot water heater, new duct, programmable thermostat

    We hired Dupont in 2013 for several different heating/cooling needs. First, we had them install air conditioning for the first time in the house. Mario recommended a Carrier product that would work for our needs and it is perfect, cooling every room in the house including the upstairs bedrooms. The technician was very knowledgeable and thorough. Then they installed a new hot water heater to replace our rented one, which they returned to Direct Energy for us. We also had them put it a programmable thermostat which has seriously increased our quality of life. And last, we had them inspect and correct the heating problem in our daughter's bedroom which was perpetually cold. Mario recommend another duct into the bedroom which we agreed to and my daughter is very happy and comfortable now. This company is honest, thorough, and has great expertise in this sector.

    new boiler

    Mario & his staff were courteous, professional, reliable and reasonable. After dealing with various companies, large & small I am so glad we chose DUPONT to install our new boiler. This company was an honest pleasure to work with which is saying a lot considering how stressful it can be when dealing with major issues such as having no heat during a frigid winter. I HIGHLY recommend this great group of people and am so glad this was the referral i went with!!

    Furnace replacement

    My furnace broke down and had called another company to look into it. They were nice and explained why I needed to replace the furnace. The cost estimate was rather high so I asked neighbours, property manager and friends for others and comparison shopped. I chose DuPont which had good pricing and seemed to know what they were doing. I dealt with Mario who was punctual and knowledgeable. He sent over Matt and Cody. They were great! Kudos to them. If I decide to get air conditioning, I would love to have them back as they were efficient, accommodating and easily addressed my concerns.

    Furnace Repair

    I got an appt about an hour after my initial call. Louis was there on time, diagnosed the problem, confirmed that my furnace was still under warranty (thereby saving me a huge bill on the parts replacement) and got the furnace up and running in about an hour. Professional and courteous - a job well done.

    Emergency Furnace Repair

    Louis arrived to fix my furnace within an hour of my initial call. He was courteous, explained things clearly and was done within about 20 minutes. Considering it's -20 outside today, I'm really thankful!

    Great in a crisis!!

    During the recent ice storm I was, like many people, cold and concerned. I was scared about the possibility of my pipes and rads freezing when my electricity had been out for 3 days. I spoke to several people at Dupont who talked me through draining my rads and then later, the process of refilling them and going my system working properly. They didn't ask me about my status as a customer - they just wanted to help. When I have had issues with my AC or boiler in the past I have used Dupont with very positive results. but this was the instance that really made the biggest difference thank you

    New furnace, duct work, AC, & tankless water heater

    I hired Dupont to do the works on my mechanical: Furnace, new relocated ductwork, AC, and tankless water heater. I'm very satisfied with the work. I found their customer service to be really great - they pretty much responded to my every need/question. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would, and they finished the job ahead of schedule. You can trust these guys.

    Furnace install

    Bought a new furnace, work was done at reasonable price and promptly. Then CO detector started going off repeatedly. They came back and suggested it might be from unrelated paint fumes. After a few more visits they had to replace the entire furnace since it was too small BTU output given the chimney liner that they had also installed. Pretty sure the 'new' unit was an open-box furnace but it looks new and works well with no CO issues.

With respect to your "new unit in an open-box", I hope I am understanding correctly that the box was opened upon arrival? If this is the concern, may I reassure you if the contract stated a new unit Dupont can legally only provide a new unit, unless specified on the contract that the costumer has consented to a refurbished unit. Moreover, we often open our boxes to ensure the correct product was delivered before visiting the property with a wrong unit.
