I love the suction on my DC17. The air quality is definitely much improved after I use it. It doesn't have enough places to carry all the attachments, the quality of the attachments seems less than great quality, not horrible but room for improvement of the type of pastic used (would prefer rubber). The cord on the upright model needs to be off the hook in order to use the wand. The cord is a good extra length but it's manual, however, I believe the cannister model may offer an auto wind up.. The wand however is amazing for wall and ceiling cleaning. I like the washable hepa and love that I don't need to fuss with bags, however, in dumping the canister, the one button push and it all goes out is not accurate, it needs at times some removing of the canister, so although it helps for allergy sufferers not to have to handle the canister dirt, still one may need to detach the plastic from the handle to have the dirt dislodge completely.

The Dyson D23 is everything you could want in a vacuum cleaner. It's a joy to do housework with this machine! I will never need to buy another vacuum again.

My wife just finished vacuuming the house and was complaining the good old D!rt Devil was a piece of trash... So I went out and bought the latest Dyson DC25. I vacuumed the house (all 3 floors) and I emptied the contents into my Green Bin. My wife unpacked the new Dyson and put it together in like 3 minutes and fired it up. As she finished the main floor I finished the 3rd floor. At first she didn't like the 'ball' but then noticed the contents of the collection bin. She moved up to the 2nd floor where the carpeted bedrooms are. That is when I heard "Oh my God! The carpets look new... This thing floats across the floor... Can you go empty the bin please?" We don't have pets but the previous owner did and this thing pulled cat hair out of crevices which I assume was behind the baseboards. This thing is awesome. I highly recommend this vacuum. As for the people complaining about Zorb not being readily available. Send an email to Canadian Tire or whereever you purchased your vacuum and ask them to bring it into the store for you.

I had heard great things about Dyson so I decided to buy one and get rid of my old chargeable handheld. Well the fact that it allowed me to vacuum between 5 to 7 minutes completely blew me away. I have a large kitchen, 2 cats and 2 birds and a lot of plants. I guess I should have read the fine line, but this doesn't do it for me.

Although we were happy with our Dyson DC07 Animal vacuum cleaner, it's very frustrating trying to find more bags of the Zorb carpet powder. Most places carrying Dyson products do not keep Zorb in stock. Special order will take more than 1 month. Ordering direct from Dyson costs additional delivery charge. The company says not to use other carpet powder but Zorb. They should make it easier for customers to access supplies that come with the initial cleaning kit.

The Dyson DC14 is nothing short of SPECTACTULAR!! I pride myself on having a very clean home. In August 2007, I was extremely happy that my new home had central vac already installed, which we have been using regularly and faithfully for the past year. We were really not in the market for a vacuum at this time. However, we were lucky enough to win a Dyson DC14 - and I was eager to try it out. MY JAW HIT THE FLOOR when I observed the "stuff" that was still in the carpeting that the Dyson had picked up!! We run a home daycare and vacuum with the central vac daily - but no longer! My Dyson DC14 is my new best friend. We immediatly noticed a difference in the carpeting, as well as the air quality. The extender on the vacuum is also a huge +++ for reaching high areas with ease. My new Dyson C14 is a dream come true I could say. I have 3 cats and it was amazing picking up dusts, cat fur. I vacuumed the day before then used my Dyson and couldnt believe what it still picked up. Wonderful!! UPDATE My Dyson is still working great. even after 7 years!

WOW !!! First of all I still cannot believe I won a Dyson DC14. I recently purchased new carpeting and thought the fluff which occurs at first from new carpets was gone after vacuuming several times. I could not believe how the dyson picked up two containers full of the fluff. My carpet looks fantastic and has a nicer feel to it. The suction of the Dyson is superb and the bagless feature is great. Thumbs up for DYSON !!! Thanks to HomeStars contest, Nancy and Dyson.

I received my new Dyson DC23 Animal as a birthday/housewarming gift and tried it for the first time last night. I was thinking of replacing my carpets this summer due to all the cat and labrador retriever fur in them but now I think I can put that off for a few more years! One pass around my 1200 sq ft appartment with the Dyson FILLED my canister and I'm the kind of person who always vacuums a couple times a week with my old Electrolux. The pivoting head is great for going around chairs and into corners. My carpets look like they've been shampooed and the pile is poofed up again. I absolutely love it and can't wait to vacuum again!!

too heavy, Telescopic wand difficult to use, hose stiff, cord too short, not easy to carry up/down stairs,not quiet as stated, attachments fall off, Not user friendly, not for aging or arthritic people
