Hickory Dickory Decks - North York recently removed our old pressure treated deck and replaced it with a new composite deck. Our original plan was to simply resurface the old deck but during the quoting process HDD-NY provided us with a proposal to slightly enlarge the surface. They took care of the drawings, permits and inspections. During construction they were very considerate and conscientious and kept the construction area as neat and safe as possible. At the outset they estimated that from tear down to finished product should be about a week and they kept to this timeline despite some weather challenges and unforeseen repairs that were required to the grading of the ground where the deck was to be built. All the paperwork - quotes, drawings, warranties, etc. - was very precise and clearly presented. We are thrilled with our new deck and looking forward to enjoying it for many years to come!

We really like our new deck built by Hickory Dickory Decks in Waterdown Ontario! Tom Jacques and his team were professional and friendly throughout the process. John who built our deck was helpful and flexible to the minor changes we required. We have a special needs son that has difficulty with stairs and his balance. John changed the original design and built a safe and easy to manage set of stairs and railing. Hickory Dickory Decks did exactly what they said they would do and built us a beautiful and safe deck that will last. We would definitely recommend Hickory Dickory Deck to our friends and family.

We have a walkout basement and got the upper level deck done in phase I and the stairs was phase II, both with Hickory Dickory Decks. We are highly impressed by the workmanship and quality of both and have received countless compliments from friends, family & neighbours. This was one of the few construction projects in our home where we didn't have to question or feel anxious about the process or final product. The process itself was smooth, few workers were involved, they were in and out without a bother and left the place spotless. Detailed computerized diagrams were made at the onset of the project, the contract was adhered to overall and the payment schedule was fair. Best of all, our contact for phase II was Steve Hall who was very patient with our high expectations, he maintained ongoing communication and made frequent visits to ensure we were satisfied. He is a very down to earth, reasonable and pleasant salesperson to deal with. We are loving our 'low maintenance' deck…thank you Hickory!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dealing with Hickory Dickory Decks, originally with Geoff Aucoin in mid 2013. He was an outstanding individual to deal with from the first meeting onwards, i.e. presentation, designs and pricing options. When we did make a decision in 2014 to move forward, Geoff advised us that he no longer worked in this particular territory but was more than happy to come by our home and introduce Bob Robertson, the new addition to the Hickory Dickory Decks family in this area. Bob made a commitment of when he felt they could start the job and was true to his word. The crew that he entrusted with the tear down of the old cedar deck, framing and installation of the PVC decking were beyond our expectations. Hats off to Brendan and crew for being so meticulous with their cuts, mitring, neatness and overall pride of workmanship. It was an an absolute pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with Hickory Dickory Decks MIssissauga North West. We are thrilled to now have the deck complete and our furnishings in place and are thrilled with the choices we have made. Thanks Bob and crew! All the best for a prosperous 2014 and beyond.

Geoff, Ibrahim and the team are a pleasure! We started planning our deck in February with Geoff. He really listened to what we needed and wanted to spend and came up with a design that worked for us. We decided to upgrade to a composite material as the cost was reasonable and we really wanted something low-maintenance that would last. They started the work right within the window they promised, worked at our place until the job was done and cleaned up properly. Highly recommended.

Our 25 year old deck was in sad need of replacing. I contacted HDD and Steve Hall quickly arranged an appointment. He met with us on several occasions to finally end up with a deck that met our needs and budget. He stayed in touch as he went through the process of getting the appropriate permits and met his timelines. Once building began the work went smoothly. His carpenter Eric was pleasant and diligent and did a quality job. Our deck is beautiful and we are enjoying it every day!

Hickory Dickory Decks was recommended by a friend, overall very happy, did a nice job, some small items were missing but they did come back and finished everything as promised.

Our 30-year-old house came with a crumbling deck in need of replacement. After exploring options with several contractors, we connected with Geoff Aucoin at Hickory Dickory Decks – Scarborough. Geoff helped us think through our options for design, materials, and the look and feel we wanted in our backyard. The work had to be coordinated with others (patio construction, tree removal). The project came together beautifully thanks to Geoff and his crew. Installers Ibrahim and his team were excellent on site. They removed the old deck and built the new one using a combination of cedar and composite materials (picture attached). The photo does not do justice to their skill and attention to detail in their workmanship. The LED lights built into the steps serve well at night. We are very pleased with the result and do not hesitate to recommend them to our friends. – Doris and Alan

We love our deck from Hickory Dickory Decks. Geoff Aucoin was a complete pleasure to work with. I get the impression that they don't work on commission like their competitors so there was no high pressure sales. Just a beautiful design and built perfectly! We went with a composite material which was not cheap but the whole experience made it worth every penny!
