We did a lot of on-line research to select a builder for our deck. While certainly not the cheapest solution, we decided that we wanted a composite deck because it would provide many years of maintenance-free service and still look new. Hickory Dickory Decks focuses on the use of composites, and their website provided some excellent information as well as photos of some very attractive decks that they have built. We met with Ibrahim and he provided us with a number of creative design suggestions that resulted in us getting a deck that really did exceed our expectations in attractiveness and functionality. Ibrahim and his crew were most professional, and a pleasure to work with. They got to the job when promised, and completed it quickly. Since it was installed in July, we have spent many enjoyable afternoons and weekends out on it. We find that it has significantly enhanced our house and back yard, and we’ve had many positive comments from friends. Overall our Hickory Dickory Decks experience was outstanding, and we would recommend them without hesitation.

We had a cedar deck built by Hickory Dickory Decks over 10 years ago and our deck still looks great! They came when they said they were going to come, they built the deck to last and they have kept in contact after all these years! They are professionals that build their business on reputation.

We had been looking at replacing our old deck with a composite deck, and met with several potential companies – including a big box store – however, were not impressed with their customer service and knowledge of these materials. HDD provided the attention and knowledge we wanted from a company in the business. They met with us a few times and thoroughly explained the various materials available in the marketplace in order to help us decide which to move forward with. - They invited us to meet at their head office in order to showcase the various materials and deck layout examples in their outdoor environment - They were willing and able to provide references - They weren’t pushy to sign a deal Steve, our Company representative for York Region, was excellent to work with. He was proactive and followed through on all commitments. He was flexible in accommodating minor changes in order for us to achieve our desired outcome. Eric, the installer, was also outstanding. You could tell he was a skilled tradesmen and good at what he was doing. Steve and Eric make a great team! They were punctual, considerate of our home/surroundings, and kept us up-to-date on the status of the whole project. We are very happy with our new deck, and can’t wait for next spring/summer to thoroughly enjoy the space! See attached pictures for reference.

We had a great experience in working with Peter Chen of Hickory Dickory Decks - North York. Right from the beginning Peter was helpful and listened carefully to our needs and interests. He provided two designs and worked with us to choose the best option. The actual work was done exactly according to the schedule and the quality of the finished steps and railing exceeded my expectations. We have had the pleasure of working with Bob Robertson and his crew this summer and fall as we redesigned our entire backyard. Bob helped us design an amazing deck and pergola that will last for a very long time. Bob was always on the job when he said he would be and there were never any delays. He his courteous and patient as we changed our designs on him several times. He always answered my calls and emails right away. We couldn't be happier with our yard now.

After receiving several quotes, we chose Peter to extend our backyard deck and build a new standalone deck on our second floor flat roof. We decided to work with him because of his customer service skills and we weren't disappointed. Leading up to and throughout the job, he was attentive, responsive, and delivered on everything he promised. Plus, the work was completed within one week - Peter and his team were very efficient. He adjusted the quote when hard costs were less than expected and followed up with us after the job was complete to ensure we were satisfied. We are very happy with our new decks, and I would highly recommend working with Peter at Hickory Dickory Decks.

From our initial contact to the completion of the project, dealing with Kevin Beamer and his team at Hickory Dickory Decks was a tremendous experience. Kevin took plenty of time to meet with us, go over all of our options including the benefits of the variety of composite decking products we could choose from and ensured we were comfortable with the process, timelines and scope of work. If there was a variance to anything, he would be in contact with us immediately and keep us in the loop. When it came to the actual construction, Kevin and his crew were fantastic. In addition to the fact that they produced excellent work, the team could not have been more friendly & polite – always cleaned up at the end of the day and did not hesitate to ask questions and respond to our requests if something came up. We just knew that our project was being managed and completed by true professionals who made it their goal to make sure we were 100% happy with the finished product – mission accomplished!

Great job by Geoff and his team of installers. From design, to material selection to installation, all was handled professionally and always on time. We were the one of the first clients for 2014, and as soon as the snow was gone and the ground was ready, the team was onsite, tearing down the old deck, and starting the process. The look was exactly what we expected, and the material suggested looks great and limited upkeep needed! Any questions answered immediately, payment as things were completed (not all in advance), and the completed deck looks great! The other item to note was the cleanup of the old deck and all the remaining items was great...nothing left behind, a great ending to a great installation! Thanks Geoff and all involved!

I was actually wary of the chaos that I thought tearing down and building a new deck would bring but from our first meeting with Geoff the entire process was so unbelievably pleasant. Ibrahim, Kosal, Cameron, and Sheldon worked incredibly hard and were a pleasure to have around. They worked all day flat out all the while ensuring it was done in a meticulous way. They left the job site so tidy every evening which with two little ones running around was important. The cost was fair for such a big job and they were even done in two weeks. The Clubhouse decking we chose with Geoff's guidance looks and feels amazing. We are so thrilled to have such a wonderful new big deck to enjoy and couldn't be happier with the crew we hired. The only downside I see is that we probably won't have a reason to work with them again as we only have one deck!

Our 12 years old cedar deck needed replacing and we had decided to go with composite decking. After talking to various companies; we went with HDD - wide range of options available. Steve Hall worked with us in the build process and handled the necessary paper work involved. His carpenter, Eric was friendly and did a great job as well. We had a couple of issues but Steve and Eric were receptive to our concerns and worked hard to provide a satisfactory resolution.
