    Heating

    The pilot light in our furnace went out and half the house was without heat during the very cold weeks in October. Bryan from Laird and Sons came immediately, diagnosed the problem, obtained the parts needed and installed them as soon as they arrived. He was so lovely to deal with, even providing me with his cell phone to ensure he could come on a Saturday for the install. We feel very confident about the work Bryan did and would absolutely recommend Laird and Sons.

    service

    I have been dealing with Laird & Son for many years. In 2006 they installed our gas furnace and have since maintained it. We recently encountered an expansion (pressure) tank problem that had resulted in water leakage. The company's courteous staff responded and their service representative, Bryan, with 37 years experience in the trade, attended. He quickly determined and remedied the problem. Our service plan which Bryan had previously recommended covered almost all of the cost. He also spent some time explaining the operation of our heating system and steps to improve its efficiency. Laird & Son have an excellent reputation which is well deserved.

    A/C and Furnace servicing

    After bouncing around between several companies over the years, I have become a regular customer with Laird and Son for yearly servicing of my ac and furnace. I am quite happy with the service as they are always prompt, polite and thorough. Just an add on: there was an issue with our furnace (solinoid valve) that 3 different companies and a number of different servicemen couldn't figure out but Mack from Laird picked it up on the first visit and fixed it.

    boiler annual service

    I would recommend Laird and Son without hesitation. Sam performed an annual maintenance on our aging furnace competently and efficiently. He also provided good advice on a future replacement without pressuring us to do so now when it passed the CO standard. One tip - if you have an oldstyle pressure tank, drain it yourselves and save ~25% of the bill.

    Furnace Tune up/Fan

    Although Noah did show up on time, he was short with discussion, not exceptionally descriptive and pricing was mediocre; however, my furance had broken down in the middle of winter and I needed the work to be completed immediately. The only other positive was that the part came in relatively quickly and he installed and got the furance back up and running within the day. Customer service needs an overhaul.

    converting from oil to gas

    When I decided to convert from oil to gas I called three companies for quotes. I found Dave B. from Laird and Son to be the most knowledgable and helpful. After I gave Laird and Son my business, I found their crew to be very professional and clean. I would gladly recommend them to my friends.

    New Boiler & Tankless Water Heater

    We had many companies in to give us a quote to remove an old boiler and oil tank and replace it with a gas boiler and tankless water heater. We called Laird & Son and were so impressed. They took the time to visit with us twice to finalize all details and even had Arti the installer come prior to go over everything that was going to be done and most important "how" they would do it. The entire job was 2 days and they showed up on time and stayed late to finish. Ryan, Arti and Matt were fantastic, really put a lot of thought when running new lines, to not compromise the space. They were extremely professional, friendly and very tidy. The Entire experience was so organized and worry free on our part. We have had a lot of work done in our home and Laird & Son were truly the best company we dealt with overall. We highly recommend them for all your heating, hot water and A/c needs, you will not be disappointed!

    Gas Furnace & Air Conditioner

    I called Laird & Son for a quote on a new furnace & air conditioner and they sent Dave Bissonnette who was very helpful in leading me in the right direction to choose the best units for my house . When I commented that my air conditioner now had never seemed to cool right he saw right away that it was not connected to the furnace properly on instillation. This is what having top notch knowledgeable people can provide . Everything was done properly and all questions were answered. The install team of Mike Distefano & Arthur Skinner and a helper installed perfectly , both units on June 10 the afternoon we had the worst flood ever & waves were going down the street when they left and we lost power for 16 hrs . They cleaned all up and went on their way after a wonderful job . I would recommend this company and staff to anyone who wants a job done right . Sincerely , Roderick Walker ( Etobicoke )

    New furnace, water heater and wifi thermostat

    I called them to replace an oil furnace and an electric water heater. Installation was impeccable. Installers were problem-solving as they came up with solutions to many little issues in our basement. Overall excellent experience.

    Furnace, AC, Boiler & Ducts cleaned/inspected

    August 21st & 22nd.....Sam, Norm and Darlene from Laird & Son were amazing. I was a first time customer, unhappy with my previous service provider and decided to call Laird & Son due to the great reviews on Home Stars. Based on this experience will be definitely calling Laird & Son again next year and for all my service needs. It was great to be able to deal with one company for all my needs, (duct cleaning, AC cleaning, furnace cleaning and my parents Boiler/Furnace cleaning). Sam, Norm and Darlene were very professional, polite, kept me informed of the process and their findings. Sam was extremely patient and understanding of my 87 year old father watching over his shoulder. Sam took the time to explain what he was doing, his findings and came back the very next day to install the part that was needed on my parents boiler. Thank you very much for the awesome job well done and the pleasant experience.
