    Gas Furnace Plan

    I came home from a trip and found no heat. I called Laird & Son who I have a contract with and Ken Tilson came to my home within 40 mins. He replaced a burnt out igniter @ a discount due to my plan

    EMERGENCY FURNACE REPAIR

    At 3AM on Monday, November 25th, 2013, our furnace ventor motor blew (this vents the combustion chamber) - it was super loud, it woke me out of bed, the furnace was busted. No heat, and it was well below zero. We have pets and aquariums now at risk. Our Problem: we are leaving for Pearson airport in 3 hrs, on our first vacation in 3 years, our flight departs Pearson at 9:15 am! Holy Cow! So it's Monday morning, everyone I know is asleep, and our plane is leaving soon! I hit the web, and end up dealing with a 'supposed' 24 hr service company called Atlascare. Only their answering service was 24 hr. Nevertheless, the unqualified phone operators 'talked me down' and reassured me that I'd get service ASAP at 8 am, when this company really opened their doors. Based on that call, we leave. I call them at 8 am, (still a bit frantic), from the airport, to make final arrangements for the repair. After all the 'notes' that were taken on our emergency by their service, this snarky woman tells me that they are very busy and since we weren't customers of theirs!, emergency or not!, they couldn't send anyone until Wednesday afternoon! In other words, their answering service misrepresented the company and they "hung us out to dry", they abandoned us. Nice emergency service. Just imagine, now I am standing in Terminal 3 at Pearson, with no solution, boarding in 20 minutes, pooched by Atlas. Trip cancelled? Not so fast. 8:30 - My wife makes contact with Heather at LAIRD AND SON. This wonderful lady listens to our predicament and simply put: LAIRD AND SON saves our day, saves our pets, saves our trip and saves our minds! Despite being as busy as the others, Heather re-jigs their schedules so that Ken can visit within an hour or so. Ken meets my neighbor, who lets him in, he sizes up the situation, goes out for the part, and returns shortly, and finishes the fix. A total PRO. We were repaired, safe and sound, by 11:45am THAT MORNING! And when we land? I open my email, and the first one is from Heather: it reads: "repair finished, all safe, have a great vacation" Seriously. WOW, I pinched myself, I thought I was dreaming! LAIRD AND SON has been around for decades, they are RELIABLE, TRUSTWORTHY, EFFICIENT, and PROFESSIONAL. Their rates were more than fair, but mostly, they listened, they made my problem their own, and then they just fixed it, period. They didn't just blow us off because it was Monday morning. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone, this company is the real deal, and they should be recognized for it. Amazing.

    Boiler

    Since purchasing our boiler from Laird & Sons we've received consistently outstanding service - both from Ron and Ken. They were more than happy to guide us over the phone to help drain the radiators during the blackout, saving us time and money!

    Service Furnace

    Called in to have my furnace checked which is working intermittently. The company sent Noah with another person and made an assessment and provided a work around. The issue was resolved and was provided with a recommendation. Very happy with the service.

    Furnace Service

    Our furnace shut off one Saturday afternoon during a -15 cold spell. Sam was on site within the hour and had it up and running in short order. He gave the furnace a once over and pointed out some areas of concern. Also answered my numerous questions patiently. Good guy.

    Furnace

    Fantastic service from the start to the end. Ron was very knowledgeable, ensured the right furnace was selected for my home. Installation crew (Ryan and Carrado) did a great job, very professional answered all my questions. They ensured I was aware of the various features and function of my furnace. Worksite was left in pristince condition. My family (parents/ brother) have collectively purchased 5 furnances from Laird over the past 25 years.

    Winter Maintenance

    The service person, Bryan Medina, was on time and very professional and friendly. When he was finished there was no mess. We had a couple of questions that he took the extra time to answer knowledgeably and politly

    Furnace Repair

    My furnace was not working properly. I called a heating company and they were unable to fix my furnace.After reading the reviews online for Laird and sons I called them,. Bryan attended my call and was very friendly and fixed the furnace.He explained in simple terms what was wrong as well. I now will always use Laird and sons for servicing my furnace.

    Furnace Repair

    Apparently I have a very unusual furnace. We called a repair person from the place we originally purchased the furnace and was informed basically that we need a new one. It is only 15 years old so found it surprising. Not satisfied with that response, I called Laird and Sons. Noah invested significant time to work out what the issue was and, while not a cheap repair, it was a fraction of the cost of replacing my furnace. Professional, always on time and really seem to care about solving the problem. I am a big fan. I already have and will continue to recommend them.
