    2 bedroom Home Move

I experienced a courteous and friendly interaction over the phone and via email to set up our move. Movers arrived on time on the day of the move, and were nothing but professional, taking extensive precautions to protect my belongings. The move itself took less time to complete than the estimated time given (a savings for me). Everything arrived in the same state in which it was packed. I was very happy with the service that Tender Touch provided and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Tender Touch!

    Moving Services

Just before the Christmas holidays, we had to make room for the family and friends that was coming over. We are in our 70's and needed to have a couple of very heavy sofa, fridge and stove, set dining table and chairs and some accent pieces moved from our living room down to the garage. We would have called our family/or friend, but we did not want to impose on them. So we pulled out a flyer from our stack and called up Tender Touch. The girl who answered the phone was very professional, courteous and accomodating- she gave us a quote and we were happy with it. (we later found out that they do giant tractor load moves all across the country) On the date and time scheduled, a neatly pressed uniformed young gentlemen rang our door bell, identified himself, and proceeded to ask what and where we wanted the goods to be moved. They listened attentively and did exactly what we asked of them - all within 35 minutes - I am very pleased Tender Touch moving company and will use them again. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a move. Venice and Bernice Chan

    Moving to new condo

They were very helpful and accurate in their quote and arrived on time for the move. Took care of my furniture and for the most part, did everything that they said they would. I recommend them for moving services and would use them myself in the future.

Move from North York to Toronto

Tender Touch took a lot a care about our move, even though it was small by any standards. From the moment we called their office Clara took care to make sure that we had everything we needed (boxes and assurance that the horror stories one hears about movers were not about this mover. Moving day went smoothly. Wayne, Demelo and Douglas whisked us out of our old place and into our new, taking care that nothing in either building, and none of our stuff got damages. We particularly liked the care Tender Touch took to protect our floors. Anyone looking for a trouble-free move couldn't do better than Tender Touch.

    Move from Toronto to Winnipeg

I spoke with Maria of Tender Touch - she was very thorough and detailed. She confirmed a date with me and then advised me what I needed to do to be ready for the movers. This was appreciated as I was packing my own items. I was then contacted by Canadian Van LInes - Amar was very punctual and handled my items with care. Everything arrived to Winnipeg quickly and they were delivered on time. I was extremely happy with the initial contact with Tender Touch and then with Canadian Van Lines. My estimate and actual cost were very close to what I expected. Thank you for making my move stress free!!

    Moving some packing and Storage

We had decided to sell our home and travel for at least one year, and wanted to have Tender Touch to pack our artwork and other delicate items, move our goods into their storage, then move everything to our new location when we returned. The pack and move into storage started off badly with some minor damage to a wall and a stair railing that should have been protected but was not. Some items were poorly packed and garbage was left strewn about, but the company sent someone to take charge and address all the issues. We were satisfied with the end result of this part of the move. One year later our possessions were taken out of storage and moved to our rental home. Our sectional sofa which was brand new and pristine when it had left our home, was returned to us with a puckered tear in the side. It was obvious this had occurred over a length of time from improper storage, as the fabric was stretched out as if something had been leaning against it for a considerable length of time until the fabric had stretched out and finally tore. A crystal lamp packed by Tender Touch was broken when we unpacked it. The company denied responsibility for both items. They claimed none of this was their responsibility but the lamp would have been fully insured had we paid T.T. to unpack everything we had originally paid them to pack. The reason we paid the high price tag to have them pack delicate items was because we trusted in their expertise, but to pay again to have them unpack seemed like an unnecessary added expense on what was already an extremely costly undertaking. The sofa was shrink wrapped by them, moved and stored by them and moved into our rental home and unwrapped by them. Why then are they not responsible? We truly fail to understand. In the end, they offered us a goodwill gesture of a $75 "credit" with the stipulation we sign a document agreeing to the following as written in their release:"no negative publicity is to be published on any media". After paying over $7500 for their services and getting back our brand new $3000 sofa with a hole torn in it , we decided to forgo the $75 "credit" to warn others about this company. If they are so proud of their stellar customer service why try to silence us?

    Mover

I used Tender Touch for a recent move to a one bedroom apartment and was overall very happy with the experience. I booked about 2 weeks in advance and the staff when I called was very helpful. The contact I got there was new and had to ask her supervisor several times for clarification about my questions, but she did always follow up with me and was very helpful. For the day of the move, Pedro and Trevor showed up on time and got right to work. They were both great and were very efficient, yet careful. They put down blue runners everywhere to avoid getting the floors marked up and dis-assembled all my furniture (and put it back together on the other end). They were so fast that the entire move only took 3 hours. Nothing was broken and both movers were very careful with my things. They even put the boxes labelled closets, in the right closet! The only concern I had was that my credit card with per-authorized for several hundred dollars the day before the move, in addition to the charges for the actual move itself. I wasn't told about this and got quite a shock when I looked at my Visa bill showing a bill for more than double the estimate of the move. I called the company and they quickly removed those charges, which was great. All in all, I had a very good experience and would recommend the company.

    Toronto Move

The move started with one of our three-man crew locking his keys inside the cab of the moving truck and ended with us going up to the kids' bedroom to discover that our bunkbed had been totally ruined, "reassembled" in the shoddiest way imaginable. The ladder wasn't even nailed onto the frame -- I just wish I had taken pictures of this terrible work. We had to throw it out and buy a new one, after paying extra time to have it taken apart and (supposedly) put back together again. We discovered the problem after we had generously tipped the team. The rest of the move was uneventful and the guys were friendly enough, but to leave us with a problem like that was totally unprofessional. I would never ever use this moving company again.

    Home Move

Our last move was 21 years ago so we took great care in choosing our moving company. We used HomeStars to find a number of the companies which we interviewed. Very professional quotation using a tablet computer to document our requirements! The final bill was almost exactly the same! Excellent work during very hot weather. Great care and attention was taken in every aspect of our move. Highly recommended!
