    Family Room

    In Nov. 2011, we ordered a three piece set and were told after Christmas it would arrive. I called on Jan. 6 to see if it had come in and it had been there for two days. Delivery to our area was already booked so my in- laws offered to come from St. Catherine's and follow us back to Kitchener. On Jan. 8, we picked up our set and upon unwrapping it, saw it was the wrong facing chaise and loveseat. I understand mistakes happen and my complaint and poor review is due to the customer service, or lack there of. - Called to inform them of this on Sun., my partner asked to speak to the manager, Patrick, who was unhelpful - Spoke to sales rep, Lore, she asked if we could bring it back; i explained how my in-laws came to help; delivery from Park's that was booked was coming to our area on Tues., I suggested they could come by and get it on their way back to Hamilton - she said she would call me on Mon. to let me know - Mon. Jan. 9, no phone call; I called after work to speak to her, she was off; receptionist incredibly helpful and set the pick up time for me and told me new stuff was ordered - Tues. Jan 10, spoke to Lore, she said we would get new stuff (already knew this), and delivery would cost half price, $50... Why should I have to pay for their mistake? I asked to speak to the manager, she said it wouldn't help and he's hard to get a hold of - Wed. Jan 11, called and spoke to Patrick, he asked if I purchased something from Canadian Tire/ Home Depot, would I expect them to come get the wrong item (odds are I would have purchased the wrong item, not them ordering the wrong product) so no I would return the item... He was very rude and defensive; I've worked in retail and I have never heard a manager speak to a customer like that.... He also said that Park's DID ME A FAVOUR, by picking up the wrong couch (they wanted it back in pristine condition to sell again, the sooner it was out of my house the better it was for everyone). I told him how Lore said she would call me and she wasn't even at work on Monday, he said everyone needs a day off... My partner and I work six days a week, on rotating shifts, SUNDAY WAS MY DAY OFF, and I spent it driving to Hamilton and moving furniture, only to unload the wrong stuff. He said the $50 delivery charge was reasonable due to the price of gas, and their budget does account for accommodating errors within the company.... I'm fully aware of the price of gas because I filled up to come down to Hamilton, took my in- laws out for dinner to thank them for coming down... Why is my hard- earned money not important here? I asked him to refund my money for the couch until the new one has arrived.... To date, no refund.... Park's may offer cheaper prices than its competitors but do not think you pay for customer service and do not expect it because you will not receive it.

    Furniture

    Park's Furniture's customer service has worsen in last one year. The salespersons are not only very very rude but they also don't have any knowledge of any product. Membership of $400 plus is not worth. Now a days most furniture stores sell Ashley products for the better price and customer service than Park's Furniture.

    living room

    My spouse and just renovated and we ordered living room furniture and were advised 4 weeks wait...at 4 weeks was not contacted and I had difficulty getting any help as to what was going on? After several attempts to get help and answers I was told that there was an error with one order from a distritbuter. Finally after several attempts to get some honest answers we had our furniture deliver 9 weeks later. The supervisor Lori did not acknowledge the difficulties. and inconvenience endured during this outrageously long wait. Avoid this company as they have no respect for their customers and have horrible service,,,when the manager does not care about good customer service than you know you are in trouble! Horrible experience that I am sharing with as many people as possible.

    New living room furniture/kitchen

    I had look at numerous furniture stores and when I say numerous I mean numerous. Either the cost for value was not there, or the quality was not good or it just wasn't what I wanted. I found all of it at Parks plus the service was excellent.

    SOFA SET..

    GOT A SET AND IT WAS BAD FROM START..AFTER YR OF BACK AND FORTH..EXCHANGE PILLOWS ETC..SECOND COUCH, JUST AS BAD, TILTED, I COMPLAINED THEY CANCELED MY WARRANTY..SAID I COMPLAINED TO MUCH..AND THE CUSHION WAS DANAGED, BY US..WAS ONLY THING TRUE...I CALLED TO ORDER MATERIAL TO MAKE THE CUSHIONS MYSELF...ORDERED THEM, THEN BOUGHT RUG AND CURTAINS TO MATCH..CALLED A FEW MONTHS LATER ABOUT ORDER...WAS TOLD NEVER PLACED ORDER..IMPOSSIBLE TO BUY FABRIC...NOW I HAVE A COUCH, CHAIR AND OTTOMAN..THAT JUST CON,T CUT IT...WRONG..WRONG...WRONG....NEVER AGAIN..UNLESS ITS FOR A STUDENT DORM...NO FRAT HOUSE...NOT EVEN.....

    Curio cabinet

    Parks was in the budget we were looking at, not a lot of selection but we did manage to find something. We were told 2 -3 weeks for delivery. Nothing at that time so we called them. Now we are looking at 7-8 weeks. Very disappointing

    Couch

    Purchased a couch, was told it was all leather. Received the couch, it is bicast leather, very cheap looking, terrible construction. Returned the couch and was charged a fee of $250.00. Spoke to manager told him the couch was not what i was promised (full leather). He didnt care. This ordeal has cost me $250.00 and alot of stress. Do not buy at Parks, the furniture is cheaply made and you will be disappointed!!!!

    Couch set

    Parks furniture offers a friendly and caring environment. We always purchase our furniture from there and are never dissatisfied with the quality of their product. would recommend this company to others.

    furniture replaced

    due to house fire, we had to replace all of our furniture. after searching many stores, we found parks to have the best prices and selection. we will not hesitate to shop there again.

    sofa

    I thought the customer service was very good and helpful. The store had a good selection of items. I wasn't rushed into making my selection and all of my questions were answered.
