    Children's bedroom furniture

    Awful experience, sale lady Donna is very unhelpful! Gave us nothing but a run around! Can't speak with management myself which is complete nonsense! Wish I did business else where! I will never recommend any of my friends or family members here!!!

    The customer is waiting for a trundle, she has the rest of the bedroom set. The trundle is coming in this week and we will deliver it to her as soon as it comes in. All of North America is back ordered on this set, we even offer to give her the floor model. I do not know what else we could do.

    Bedroom furniture

    The worst customer service ever!! Our furniture sat in their warehouse for over a week and no one called to tell us (after it arrived over a month after it should have), had to wait over a week for delivery after everything was paid off. Will never shop here again and will be telling all my family and friends the same thing. The cheaper prices are not worth the hassle and stress that comes from shopping here.

    It's funny why they have not provide us with their name. If what they say is true that the furniture sat in our warehouse for a week after being received and another week before they received their goods, I find it hard to believe this makes us the worst customer service ever.

    FIRST AND LAST EXPERIENCE WITH LORA AT PARKS FURNITURE

    When I purchased a bed in the beginning of September, I was told the ETA would be September 23rd. I did ask my sales rep LORA if it's ok when they deliver the bed if they can assemble it. She said it was ok since I don't live far away anyways. I've had this offer by other furniture places too by the way so I knew that if they said no I could have gone else where and they still would have been nice to do so. Here it is November 3rd still no bed. I kept calling asking what was going on with my bed, I was told it should be there soon. However this time when I called on the 2nd of November again I called to inquire. I was told I have a delivery date of November 13th. NO ONE called me to inform me. So of course I got upset, what if I was not home and missed the delivery. Just common sense to call and inform the customer. But instead LORA decides to call me and leaves me a very rude and inconsiderate voicemail with an annoyed tone. Telling me that " I Have to take the date otherwise the men can not assemble the bed for me." IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW LORA. So I decided to go back yesterday on the 3rd of November and get my money back. I will not have someone who is unappreciative to collect commission from me. I would rather give it to someone to can appreciate the fact that the reason they have a job is because of people like us, called CUSTOMERS! That was my first and LAST EXPERIENCE EVER AT PARKS FURNITURE!! Thank you LORA

    Couch

    Continuation of my last post. They only deliver on Fridays and Saturdays and were booked for the next two weeks. So now my 4-6 week couch turned into an 8 week couch. No apologies were made for not notifying me. I will never shop here again. Their customer serve is disgusting.

    Bedroom set

    Love my new bedroom set, price was great and the sales lady was very helpful. I would recommend this to all my friends. I became a member so friends and family will get the big discounts I did.

    table and chairs

    Amazing prices !! Good experience ..... Would recommend it to friends and family. Going back for a great deal on a bedroom set and mattress. Found the staff friendly and knowledgeable.

    Coffee tables

    We had Christine sales associate she was a huge help, we ordered Ashley coffee tables. Cheaper her than the Ashley home store by $400.00 product was ready in less than 3 weeks. Versus 5 weeks. We picked up and are very pleased with our purchase. We will certainly shop here again.

    living room furniture

    We got a beautiful high-quality custom couch at Park's furniture. The brand was Deco-rest. We got to pick the material, and it came with 4 custom throw cushions. Retail price $1156, we got it at the 40% membership price, so paid $694 +tax and delivery. I picked the rating of 6 stars because ultimately the customer services at Parks can be improved. Because of the range of reviews for this place, I was careful to ask questions about all aspects of the purchase, delivery, return policy, etc. They were constantly defensive and dismissive. Several different sales associates I talked to all had the same kind of response, and one claimed that all furniture places have these problems and I could choose to buy my furniture elsewhere if I had a problem. The point is, instead of trying to improve themselves or try to address my concerns, they brushed it off as a "deal with it or leave" scenario. It's too bad, because if they would improve their customer service, I would have no problem giving this place 9 or 10 stars for selection, quality and price. In the end, the delivery of the couch went smoothly. Reading the other reviews, we were prepared to wait the 2 months for delivery (it did take that long, which is understandable for a custom couch). The delivery people were excellent and very professional, asking where the couch would go, being careful in moving it into the house, and giving me the time to inspect it before they left. Delivery to Brantford cost $75. Christine is the only sales associate at Parks that I will compliment. She was helpful and patient in helping us select our furniture. After that, we dealt only with the others who answered the phone, and they were not very good at that. If you are willing to be patient with low standard customer service, then Park's does have good furniture selection at discounted prices. ALSO be aware that if you are not a member, the 40% discount only applies on purchases beyond $1200. Up to the $1200 threshold, the discount is only 20%.

    Leather seating

    Loads of thanks to Parks Furniture for my rich brown shaded loveseat sectional that have my kids falling asleep without misery, from time to time, also my new recliner. Their pricing was okay because I paid approximately $500 and $450 respectively. They had the widest variety but which was quickly narrowed down to my desire and liking by a friendly family-oriented staff. My kids came with me and they tested almost everything. It was an event for them. Loved the membership surprise from having spent over $1200. So I know there's my future discount. Thanks also for the timely delivery so I wouldn't have to do too many explaining to my babies. Whew!

    Lesson Learned

    We've learned our lesson, we had a horrible exerience the first time we purchased from Park's. However, we just moved into our new home and thought we did save some money the first time around, it can be that bad twice. We were wrong. The service is atrocious. we had much better sales lady this time around but once they have your money, you no longer qualify for being treated well. My husband took a call from Eric, from delivery, who told us the time they would be there. There are no options. We were given one day to make arrangements. Eric was argumentative on the phone and completely rude to my husband. We both work out of town and had no one who could come to the house to wait, even if we did if something was wrong and they accepted the couches, we wouldn't have been able to return them (the last time we ordered, the couches were wrong, so we weren't willing to take that chance again). Eventually, we were able to make arrangments for the following week when one of us would be home but it took a couple phone calls, wasted breaks and lunches on our part, rude service but they came when my husband would be home. At the same time, we were getting bedroom furniture from another company who was absolutely fabulous. I told the receptionsist at Parks about that but there was no desire on their part to make this a better experience. She compared Park's service to that of Bell/ Shaw, that they come out when it's convenient for them, not the customers (with our new house, Rogers came on a Sunday to set everything up). Park's obviously does not strive to be better in service in than anyone else, they're fine being middle to back of the pack, just because they offer lower prices.

    We are willing to do time delivery, however, we can not do it for the same price. We do our delivery runs in the most efficient way possible. Everyone wants the cheapest price, however if you want a time delivery and willing to pay the extra costs, we would be more than pleased to provide it.
