Me & Ben bought/built our first ever home with Excel homes Hartland in Cochrane AB. Neither of us had been through the experience of building or buying a house. Everything was soo easy. Charla our Excel sales representative was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. She was not at all pushy when it came to upgrades and even help us stay within our budget. Excel helped us to build our dream home. When we started building Nathan our construction supervisor made sure we got to see ever step of the building process. Our home even ended up being completed ahead of schedule. We love everything about our new house. Now that we have moved in they also have been very accommodating. We needed a couple of minor fixes and they corrected them right away. Thank you Excel Homes, Charla & Nathan.

We are very happy with the service and the product, we love our new place. I am a contractor and have seen many many poor home builders in Calgary and I can honestly say that Excel is not one of them. I would highly recommend them. Only critique, communication.

In May 2016, my boyfriend and I bought our house in Heartland in Cochrane. With our timeline, we decided to purchase a Spec home, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. As the spec was near completion when we bought it, we were unable to make any changes or upgades to our home. With that said, the amount of thought that went into the design and upgrades to the house was incredible. We wouldn't have changed anything even if we could have. Our house was finished and move in ready when they said it would be. The team at the sales center has been amazing to deal with, as well has the site superintendent. He stops in from time to time to see how everything is going and if we need anything. I'd definitely recommend buying from Excel. We've had a wonderful experience, and my boyfriend and I have spoken about it, and decided when we are ready to buy again, we will be going through Excel!

I had wanted to look at a used place for sale, in Heartland in Cochrane but the guy was being difficult with scheduling, My realtor contacted Charla and we were looking at a Townhouse in Heartland two days later! Everyone was great, checked the place out for over an hour and put a deposit down that day, Charla and Marika were great to deal with and had everything explained clearly for me! I could not be happier, being my first purchase and brand new I am really pleased. I will def recommend Excel to friends!

It's our first time building a house and was very excited especially when we saved every penny for it. We absolutely love our floor plan and that's why we decided to go with excel's Seabrook. However the building process wasn't exactly smooth and the quality of work was alright. There's nicks and ticks here and there and work feels rushed. There's paint drops all over the place, scratches on doors and baseboards that are "within tolerance" and not expected to be fixed. Customer service have not been active and haven't responded to our phonecalls yet.

My wife and I bought a spec home from Excel in the Heartland subdivision. We have had few problems and those few problems have been dealt with efficiently and in a timely matter. I like the warranties offered. The two Excel people we have dealt with, have been easy to deal with and have been great company representatives. Thank you Excel we love our new home, Jeff

Was living in a basement for 8 long years and got a chance to buy our first house in Canada. Was thinking all day where to buy. But I think we are very lucky that we came to contact with Cathey and Terek from Excel homes in Savanna. As living in NE area was our first preference. They gave us really useful information and help us find the best house within our budget. Great people great service! Thanks a lot Karen for sending us all the pictures of our house during construction and kept us up to date.Thanks a lot for everything.

We recently built a new home with Excel Homes in Mahogany, Calgary. We were very pleased with the process that they have in place. They have created a low stress environment when it comes to choosing the finishings in your home so that you do not feel overwhelmed. Any concerns or questions we had were dealt with in a very timely manner and they worked very hard to ensure that we were pleased with the outcome. David and the site crew were top notch! Very much a pleasure to work with. Ellen Musch Van Baren was a delight to work with as well. She is definitely the person to chat with when you are looking to build a new home. She knows her stuff. My husband and I recently build our first home and Excel made that experience wonderful for us. We are in heartland in Cochrane and we absolutely love it here. Our home is beautiful and the craftsmanship is incredible! The sales girls were very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process as well as after with all our questions.

We moved into an Excel spec home in the Mountainview area of Okotoks in January this year. Originally we were helped by a fellow named Chamse, and then later by Luc and Ellen. The process was painless and pleasant, and the staff were willing and able to help with whatever we have needed. We love our house - it's the perfect layout, location, and features for our life now, and for years to come. Plus, the neighbors are AWESOME in the area, and we are completely satisfied with our choice of builder. All of the excel staff we have dealt with have been dedicated to making sure we have had the best experience possible, from Luc and Ellen for all of our post-move in questions and assistance to the QA and construction folks helping us with the post-move inspections. Let's be clear - no new home build is completely without issue. We have had a few pop up since moving in. Excel has made every incident their top priority and has made sure that all of our concerns have been taken care of promptly and completely. We've built with a bad builder previously, and the difference in quality of service from a good builder like Excel is VERY apparent. We had similar plumbing backup issues in both homes within weeks of moving in. After calling Excel's emergency line at 9pm or so, they had a plumber, a plumbing inspector, and a cleanup and sanitation / recovery crew come out that same night. They worked through to the early hours of the morning, all at Excel's expense. It ended up being a little construction debris in the line left by one of the sub trades. Excel dealt with that contractor and assured us that they had taken measures to prevent this from happening again with other builds. We have not had any issues since, and Excel has checked in on us several times to be 100% sure. To contrast that, when we reported the same plumbing backup to our previous home's builder (Not Excel): they told us to clean it up ourselves, gave us numerous amounts of bogus explanations (that it had come out of our washer's emergency drain, despite the fact that it was toilet paper and feces) and blatantly tried to hide what the actual issue was. They didn't send any crews out to look at anything until the 6th backup, and with a LOT of stern insistence on our part. In the end, it took this other builder 12 months to identify the issue - that they had plumbed all the basement lines completely level (with 0 grade). Even after identifying the issue, we had to escalate the issue as far up as we could go numerous times to have the other builder come in to break up our basement floor and re-plumb the lines. Again, this was a previous home, not built by Excel - I am only providing the example to show the contrast between a good builder like Excel and a bad builder (that I will not name here). So, if you're still reading, and you're thinking about going with Excel as your builder - rest assured that they have your best interest in mind. No new home build is without issues. Not one. The difference between a bad builder and a good one is HOW those issues are dealt with. Excel has treated us like respected clients at every step along the way and has made sure any issues we've come across have been resolved to the highest standards and in a prompt fashion.
