    Eavestrough Repair

Loved the service from Armstrong and Nelson, here's why: It's Saurday and the eavestrough at the front of our house on the upper deck fell away from the facia board. I called Armstrong and Nelson and they were open for business on a Saturday. They took my info and gave a quotation and arrived and did the repair on Monday (2 days later) with a 3 year warranty. The fellow that came to my house was "Ben" a well experienced man that has been working with eavestroughing for a long time, no newbie, he really knew what he was doing and made it look easy. Ben left our place clean & tidy and the repair done to my satisfaction. Just like new again! Thank you Armstrong and Nelson and especially "Ben". Great job and he came when I needed him. Thanks..

    Eavestrough repair

I called a few companies requesting either repair or replacement of my eavestrough which was loose and letting water overflow. Only Ben from Armstrong and Nelson suggested repairing rather than replacing the aluminum eavestroughs. He came within a week and took about an hour to clean and secure the loose eavestrough pieces around the roof. The price was a fraction of the multi- thousand dollar estimates I received from the other companies who only wanted to replace. My eavestroughs functions properly now. Ben was friendly and fast. If your looking to save money and still get a job efficiently and well done then I definitely recommend Armstrong and Nelson.

Fascia, gutter and downspout replacement - Roof vent installation

I called a few companies for a complete replacement of rotted fascia and the installation of gutters, downsouts and roof vents. They were one of 2 companies who showed any interest in doing the work. Tom called and came over for a full inspection and wrote me up a complete and through description of what needed to be done and an estimate. I trusted Tom but told him the price difference on some of the work was over one of his competitors. He obliged with a price match and we signed the contract. He installed everything as promised and was courteous, informative and friendly. It was a pretty big job and I'm very satisfied with the work done. Once the job was complete, I noticed the drip edge was not installed. These things happen sometimes. I called Tom and he promptly came over to add them no BS. My only real complaint was the work took a little longer than I would have liked and on the days he did not show up , it would have been nice to get a call to tell us. I'm sure they're all quite busy so this type of stuff is to be expected with the weather and emergencies. Otherwise, I would have no problem reccomending Tom anytime.

    Downspout Disconnection

I received a notice from the city that my downspouts needed to be disconnected from the sewers. I have 6 downspouts but was not sure where they could be re-routed. The technician from Armstrong & Nelson did a thorough assessment of my eavestrough and downspout systems and determined that 3 downspouts should not be disconnected as it would present a hazard to my property from water draining onto walkways and the driveway. I had another company out who would have disconnected all the downspouts and quoted a price much higher than Armstrong & Nelson. Armstrong & Nelson helped me with a waiver exemption appication to the city. I am grateful that the downspouts were disconnected and redirected with such forethought not to mention the honesty. This was the most professional company I have eaver dealt with.

    Eaves troughs

I purchased a promotional voucher from Armstrong and Nelson to have our eaves cleaned. They did not honour the voucher and took no responsibility for the fact that they mis respresented the service they offered. They offered me a new, higher price which I considered and accepted. I booked the appointment for $150 to clean and repair our eaves for up to 150 ft. of eaves. for the following day. I came home to a message that they did not clean or repair the eaves but that the cost had now escalated to $400 for cleaning only and that they recommend I spend that and an additional $900 for leaf guards which we do not want and did not ask for. The reason given for the increase in price to clean was that I had more than the 150 ft. of eaves. For the record, we have exactly 146 1/2 ft. When I challenged their approach and stated I felt it was false advertising and dishonourable and that I would be recounting my experience here on HomeStars, I was told I had anger issues and the lady, Rhoda likened me to a terrorist and implied I had psychiatric issues. Yes, I was annoyed and frustrated to be give this kind of a run a round. I would never recommend this company to anyone. The absolute worst customer relations I have ever come across. Very disappointing experience.

Clean eavestrough, install leaf guards, drip edges, caulking exposed roof nails and replace couple cracked shingles

Alfredo from A&N was dispatched to clean my plugged eavestrough, at his recommendation I installed leaf guards, drip edges and replaced a few damaged shingles. Alfredo show me the pictures before and after he finish the work which I think is a very good idea. At his invitation I followed him up the roof to examine his work which I don't think too many technicians will do that. When I was up on the roof it really give me an appreciation of the skill that Alfredo has. Excellent work and worth the money.

Eaves cleaned and leaks sealed; downpipes added, replaced and extended.

I found Armstrong & Nelson in the Yellow Pages. (Before I called a few other companies and met no success). A very pleasant lady from Armstrong & Nelson, whose name unfortunately I didn't not note down, responded enthusiastically and courteously. Within the same day, Kerry turned up. He carried out a careful and thorough inspection. Later, Kerry advised me the works required to be done and gave me a very reasonable quote. In the following week, Kerry came and finished the job in a highly professional and meticulous manner. Kerry is an experienced and very friendly person. I definitely feel I've made the right choice of finding Armstrong & Nelson and, in particular, having Kerry doing the job for me.

Leaf Guards added, Eaves resloped & Rain Barrel down spout

Tom Sitas installed Leaf Guards on our Oakville home in the fall. He showed up on time and explained the estimate and work efficiently. Installed it flawlessly and took the time to educate me on a few other roof related concerns I had. Post that job we sold the home and purchased another and my first call was directly to Tom in order to request his return to install leaf guards and additional eave repairs on the new house. Once again he was quick to provide an estimate and answer my plethora of questions. I asked him to rework a few more sections including a new down spout for a rain barrel and everything was efficient, neat and tidy. Thanks Tom
