Drain clearing + camera work
We have a basement drain that was overflowing, and suspected that it was the sewer line that was backed up. We contacted Draincom based on the reccomendation from Homestars. They were able to come at our next available date two days later.
Alex was an hour late, but was friendly and professional while here. He cleared out the issue, but at our request ran a camera down the drain (extra $160). He showed that we had clay pipes, and roots going through them - common issue for older Toronto homes. He showed the actual footage and pointed out the issues, which was nice.
He gave us a quote on the spot for $6,800, minus a $1,200 rebate, and offered to get to work next week. He also said that they would cover all the permit work.
We are still debating whether we are going to go through with the pipe replacement right away (which will involve digging) but we were happy enough with Draincom that we will probably hire them for the work if we do.
