    Toilet Gasket Install

Had a toilet leaking from the second floor washroom to the ceiling in the living room. Called Water Works based on the reviews on homestar. Natasha was great with communication and Larry arrived within the time slot allotted. Natasha advised that there is a fee of $59.50 plus tax just for them to come out but the fee would be waived if Waterworks were given the go ahead to complete the job. I guess the $59.50 is an indirect way for them to get the job because it's going to cost you either way. At the end of the day, I ended up paying $390 for a gasket, a nut and bolt, and a new water line that took 1 hour to install. Over priced in my eyes because unlike other plumbers, Waterworks set their price based on the job and not based on a hourly rate, but what's done is done.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Jason, thank you very much for your review/feedback and your business. A great service call and dependable service requires far more than a plumber and a part. A substantial investment on our part is required. Things like maintaining our office, warehouse, insurances(WSIB), taxes, working inventory, service trucks, and a small profit, etc. are necessary in order to provide you with the great service we want to deliver. If you happen to read the reviews of our quality competitors, you will see that our pricing is very fair. I hope this clarify things for you. Thanks again and Happy Holidays from all of us at Waterworks Plumbing and Drains Inc.

This is a busy time of the year and we had a blocked toilt. I had very few times when I would be home, Natasha at the office had cancellation that worked for me, Michael came and fixed the problem. Reasonable price. secure system as they e-mail a photo of the plumber before he comes.

    install a garbage disposal

Michael, the technician was punctual, knowledgeable and efficient. Natasha, in the office, was courteous and helpful. My third time for using this company. I feel they are a little pricey but the service is excellent.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Yvette,we appreciate your continued loyalty. We have been taking care of your plumbing in your home for almost eight years now. In order to provide a great service call each and every time we "crunch" our costs in order to sustain our service. When you do read the reviews of our quality competitors as we do, you will find that our pricing is very fair. Quality does always cost a bit more.We think it is well worth it for you. Thank you very much and Happy Holidays from all of us at Waterworks Plumbing and Drains Inc.

    Fixing valves and pipes

My shut off valves were cheap and put in weird places. I had to change them. That involved opening up walls, cutting up and soldering pipes. Couldn't be happier with Michael and Kevin's service. They arrived early, did the job efficiently and left no mess. Michael is so nice and relatable, I found out we even share our musical taste. I will surely recommend them to anyone who asks me.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Mozart, thanks for the awesome compliments. Its quite normal to see builders install cheaper hardware in locations that are not well thought out in terms of servicing them in the future. That's where we come in and do it right. Thank you very much for your business opportunity and sharing this fantastic review. Happy Holidays from all of us at Waterworks Plumbing and Drains Inc.

    Leaky pipe

Larry was friendly and does good work, but I am not a fan of general pricing. I had to talk them down from 1500. When I asked why the price ( before taxes) was $1300, they just said that's the price, no break down. Sorry but even car dealerships give you price breakdowns. Personally for plastics piping it was overpriced. You do good work but I can't afford you guys.

    Answer from pro:

Hi David,I am really sorry to hear that you had issues with the price as we'd discussed the price and what was involved with your job before we started. Also, I'm not sure why you say that you needed to talk me down in price as we have standard pricing for all of the jobs we do, and to fix the leak with the existing inferior piping in your condo ended up being quite a bit of work. Given we had discussed exactly how much it would cost I'm not sure how you could say you couldn't afford us after we did what we said we would do for the price we said we would do it for, and that you'd agreed upon before we did it. If you knew, before we started, that you were not satisfied with the quote, why would you have waited to tell us this? It would have been better for you to get additional quotes or even hire other plumbers you felt were more in line with your budget. Again David, thanks for using Waterworks, and saying that we do good work. Thanks for saying Larry was a nice guy, I think he's a nice guy too and I'd say most people on this site would say that we're pretty reasonable, upfront, honest nice guys. Happy holidays from all of us at Waterworks Plumbing.

    exterior back water valve

Waterworks handled this job superlatively, from first contact to completion: careful and thoughtful advice; fast, efficient, considerate service. Larry and Natasha were good first contacts, Michael's on-the-job contribution was a 10+. Fully professional and more. Couldn't ask for better.

    Answer from pro:

Hi G.B Shand, thank you for the great feedback. We appreciate the fact that you were open to finding the best solution possible to install your back water valve by doing an exterior back water valve which in turn save your demolition of your bathroom and sauna. By the way that was exactly what I would have done in the same situation at my home. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    tree roots

after much searching on the internet was pleased to find out that waterworks used rootx. the plumber was punctual, friendly, helpful. loved the security feature of an e-m with a pic of the plumber being sent. accommodated my concerns about chemical odour due to my having severe chemical sensitivities. i just can't say enough good things about the visit, thanks very much waterworks! fast forward 2 years: sanitary line backed up. cammed main line, snaked, rootx again. total bill came to approx $1100. thought this was rather steep, but when you want your pipes cleared, what'cha gonna do (lol) little disappointed that work areas not left clean and that plumber did not mention rootx application had caused a spillover in toilet and surrounding areas. discovered mess after he had gone.

    Answer from pro:

Wow! We really enjoy readying your review. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to post this. The rootx is design to stop roots growing into your drain. I use it at my home almost 13 years ago and never had a stoppage since. Happy Holiday from all of us at Waterworks Plumbing and Drains Inc.

    Toilet Repair

The service is excellent. Natasha was friendly and helpful with booking the appointment. They do an excellent job of communicating with their customers. Larry was competent, friendly and professional. He came when he said and did the work. Had what he needed to do the job. He gave me a quote directly from their price book. However, you pay for good service. The drawback is that it is expensive, so I docked a star because I felt like $320+ tax was a lot for an hours worth of work- even if the service is great.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Drew, thank your very much for your great review. Just to let you know a few things that goes into the costing of our job are a full liability insurance, WSIB insurance, our office, trucks, etc. We also do show up on time unlike others who show up late or not even at all. As you read our reviews you will see you will always get a top quality service call with us, pure and simple. Thanks again. Happy holidays from us at Waterworks Plumbing and Drains Inc.
