Replace shower spout and outdoor water valve

Had our upstairs bathroom shower drain spout replaced because it leaked as well as an outdoor water valve that leaked and had no handle. A few little glitches at first, but Michael fixed the issue and was kind and courteous.

    Unplugged toilet

We chose WaterWorks because of their high rating on this site and we were extremely pleased with our choice. They came the same day and did a very thorough job. Todd was professional and courteous. We would definitely use their services again.

    Moved drainage pipe

Water Works sent Todd to the house on December 26th. Not only did Todd complete the work in a short amount of time, but he assisted us in completing the install of the dishwasher. Todd was a great help and he even followed up at the end of the day to make sure everything was working correctly. I highly recommend Todd and Water Works. Thanks again. P. Sweeney

    Replace toilet connection & shutoff

I had replaced the ballcock assembly in our downstairs toilet but the water supply connection was an old rigid pipe that would not reconnect securely, so the connection leaked when I turned the water back on. When I turned the valve off again, the valve began to leak too. At that point, I called Waterworks on the basis of their Homestars rating & got an appointment for the next convenient day. Mike showed up even a bit early. Amiably and politely, he quickly assessed the situation, explained to me what was needed and explained Waterworks' applicable fixed price, showing me their catalogue/price guide. He also advised me that we did not need another, more expensive addtional repair that I suggested. He then quickly and efficiently replaced the leaky valve and connection with better-quality parts. I liked the fixed-price policy and was impressed when Mike pointed out that the other work I had suggested was unnecessary. I was also impressed by his technical skills and his professional manner. I would definitely use Waterworks again , and now subscribe to their maintenance plan

    toilette

I was recommend to give Water Works a call by Riva Plumbing as they only do new construction. I found them to be very polite from calling was given the basic cost. Todd came on the date and time promised he was very nice and professional, looked at my problem came up with a solution. I also spoke to Amina, at the office who was very nice and a great pleasure to deal with in resolving my concern. If at anytime you need to speak with anyone than Amina is that person, she will ensure that your concerns are looked after.

    fixing leaky toliet and pipe

I chose waterworks after another company had looked at our problem and wasn't able to offer an adequate solution. We had a pipe that was leaking directly from the bathroom into our kitchen, not a very pleasant situation. The previous company had suggested gutting our bathroom and our kitchen ceiling. With two weeks go till Christmas this wasn't a very feasible solution. Todd was very professional and worked very hard to solve our issue, Giving us an excellent interim solution. I would highly recommend waterworks and especially Todd Thomas from Toronto

    Replace bathtub taps

We recently had the misfortunate of using Waterworks. We had booked them to change the bath taps in our bathroom and could only arrange to have them come in the day before the tiles were going to be replaced. As a result, we were rushed and had no choice but to use Waterworks. However, when the installer arrived what followed was a long sales pitch about how the taps we had bought were no good – a brand name from a big box store. We were also given a lesson on how important it is to have a backflow regulator so the cold water doesn’t cut out when a toilet is flushed while in the shower (something I’ve lived with for 50 years and now, somehow, something we can’t live without). But, as a I said, we were facing time constraints we ended up paying $1,400 for the new taps. I estimate the time he spent upselling us was more than the time he spent installing the taps. The next day after checking around, we found out the going rate is about $200 - $400, which means we spent $,1000 more than we should have. To compound matters, when the tile guy came in the next day, he advised us that the taps were set into the wall too far, a fact we confirmed with another plumber we eventually called in to fix them. When we asked Waterworks to please reimburse us $1,000, they said absolutely no. I would never call them in to do work again. They fail on all counts, fair market prices, ability to do the job correctly, and customer service.

    Answer from pro:

Hi Patricia Hornyak did you show your new plumber the taps you wanted us to install? You failed to mention they cost around $40 or so.He too would have declined the installation if he was LICENSED.They are not approved by the Ontario Building/Plumbing code nor CSA .They were really the lowest grade product I've ever seen with probably no repair parts or support available. I explained to you why you should buy the Moentrol faucet instead. They are the highest quality with the best support in the industry. Also they would protect you and US from getting burned by the shower. You also failed to mention that you decided 1 month later to change your bath tub to a larger one, which would require us to come out and reinstall the faucet into a different location,Also I did tell you that the faucet had to be installed deeper in the wall and that we have a kit to install the trim which is a Moen part#137347 at no additional cost.I'm really glad you called upon us and I'm sorry you felt dissapointed. It was a pleasure meetingnyou and doing the installation. Cheers,Michael Yuffa

    leak from upstairs tub

We had water dripping through our kitchen ceiling from the tub above. We thought that a plumber would have to open the ceiling to fix it. Knowledgeable, friendly Todd came out - he cut a new access through the bathroom vanity (that will be useful if we ever need to access it again) and found and fixed the leak. Excellent service. We will definitely use WaterWorks again.
