Thanks for the review Kenneth. I'm glad you did some research before choosing a home inspector. Unfortunately most home purchasers wait too long to find a great home inspector. You should have your trusted team comprised of your Realtor, Lender, Lawyer, and Home Inspector already chosen when you first decide to buy a new home. If not, you may find yourself making poor decisions due to excessive emotions, and the pressures/time constraints of completing a real estate deal. You may decide to skip out on a professional home inspection - bad call. Or you may hire the first inspector (with a cheap fee) you call up on the phone without properly evaluating/researching the inspector - I call this gambling. Finally, you may just go with your agent's recommended inspector. In a perfect world, this conflict of interest would not exist, but it does. Do your own independent research and chose your inspector wisely. You want trusted advice to protect you and your investment.

You have the power to demand a great home inspector in addition to a professional real estate agent to help you through the largest financial investment most people make in their lifetime. Thanks for the review Karna! I'm glad you and your partner were able to step back and view the house through "my eyes". By the time most people call their home inspector to inspect the house, they are caught up in the emotional aspect of the purchase. Maybe it has beautiful curb appeal, fancy appliances, an updated kitchen with granite counters, or it satisfies some basic needs-it's near a park or close to work, it has nice finishes or the right number of bedrooms. Sure you want to feel good about your new home purchase, but it's much more important to put your emotions and assumptions aside and get unbiased facts about the house. Protect yourself, your investment, minimize surprises, and know what you are buying with a Solex Group Professional Home Inspection.

I wish more people would do their homework when choosing a home inspector. The very best home inspections do not come cheap, and they shouldn't. Not all home inspections are "created equal".
