If I could give 20 stars I would. Our longstanding HVAC contact retired after supporting us every year and across three different homes. Needing a new AC, we came across CoreTemp (and several other companies) and had quotes/conversations with all of them. Richard from CoreTemp was outstanding from the start. He took the time to explain everything to us, was honest about where was the most important to focus our money (rather than top end everything), and because he's a technician, he was so much more knowledgeable than a simple sales rep. This is his own company and so his focus on happy customers is evident and Richard and his wife have been exceptionally responsive with any questions. The crew (including Richard himself, which we always appreciate the owner actually being present for installs) was amazing; on time, meticulous work, cleaned up site (including disposal of all the old units). In feeling the difference in the heat and AC force now coming up even to the bedrooms, I kick myself for waiting this long to change the units. CoreTemp is outstanding and has our annual checkup business from here on in.

We got some bad news that we needed to spend a fortune to repair our 10 year old furnace and tankless water heater. We were told it would be make more sense to put in new units as the repair costs were very high. This was a shock to us as we were simply trying to get the units ready for the cold weather. After getting a few estimates, we decided to go with Coretemp to do the new installation. Richard was very personable and took the time to explain to us what was wrong and why we needed to replace the equipment. A few days later, the furnace and tankless water heater were installed. The job was done very quickly and they left the place spotless. Richard(the owner) even went outside to check our air conditioner which was 2 years old to see if everything was ok with it and found out that it was low on gas. He filled it up for no charge. We are very pleased with Coretemp and would recommend them to anyone who needs furnace and air conditioning service.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Conducted a thorough inspection of our furnace and provided a detailed written report for a reasonable price. Changed the furnace filter and showed us how to order and change the cartridge for our humidifier. Furnace is 5 years old and some slight rust was noted. The technician carefully ruled out any water leakage from various systems and determined it was from condensation (so no real worry). Provided good advice on how to get better balance throughout our home - as some rooms get quite warm in the summer. Very impressed!

We had our AC and furnace replaced in July 2024. We found Coretemp through a referral and we are very happy with the product and service. Richard responded quickly to our service call request. We found Richard to be straight forward and honest. He provided us with a variety of options to meet our needs and they were reasonably priced. Richard, Eric and Dave were punctual on the day of installation. They were efficient, provided good quality work and we appreciated how clean they left our home. Richard took the time to go over how to best to maintain the equipment. We would definitely use them again in the future and will recommend them to our friends and family.

Richard and his team did an excellent job relocating and installing a new furnace and a tankless water heater in our house. Communication was ensured every step of the way. He was easy to reach before and after the project for any questions we had. He went over the plan multiple times with us before he started and reviewed his progress and anything outstanding with us throughout this two day project. He really went the extra mile, and stuck to the quoted cost despite the project taking longer than initially expected. Highly recommended!

Over the years I have reached out to Richard at Coretemp with issues with either the old Furnace or AC, he was always able to walk me through a solution and never charged me. When the furnace needed replacing this July, I knew who I was going to give the job too. Richard's experience shows the first time you speak to him, and trust me you will speak to him quickly, he is excellent with his communication and call backs. Richard and his assistant Erik installed the new furnace, they took their time to do a clean, quality job. I was blown away with Erik when he installed the new piping to the outside, he took his time in my heavily planted garden, as a result there was no damage! I was so grateful. I would not hesitate to recommend Richard and his team. Thanks Guys!

One of the best experiences we have ever had with a house service call. Our AC unit suddenly stopped working; Richard and his associate arrived within 3 hours of our call and within minutes had identified the issue, replaced the broken part and had the unit working again. Value added was the expertise provided to increase the efficiency of our aged air cleaner. Very efficient, knowledgable and friendly service and the only company we will call going forward.

I called CoreTemp because my very old residential AC stopped working. Turned out to be a failed beaker. I was so impressed with Richard and his crew that I decided to replace the entire unit. It was 32 years old and I felt that it was time. Richard provided me with a very competitive quote and we booked the install. He and his team were onsite exactly on schedule. They got the job done and cleaned up in about 2 hours! He explained everything they did and why and were exceptionally professional. I highly recommend CoreTemp!

Our Ac stopped working during this heatwave, Richard answered our call right away, and was there the same day to troubleshoot the problem. Richard is great and responds right away to calls, explaining things and making you feel at ease, even during a stressful time. We needed a New AC unit and Richard got our new unit installed quickly. Richard and the entire staff at Coretemp are amazing and an absolute pleasure to deal with. In October 2023, I had a brand new HVAC system installed by one of the largest and best reviewed companies on Homestars that routinely appears on the first page under HVAC. This included a new Heat Pump/furnace, tankless water heater, and humidifier. I couldn't say for certain, but the experience with the first company left me with the impression that I was oversold a product that didn't match my needs/property (century-old home, poor insulation), and that corners were cut with the installation due to a lack of experience/technical wherewithal. The marketing pitch that I was sold on for the heat pump failed to deliver, offering middling performance over the winter, and faulty function for the first hot spell in the summer. This was unfortunately reinforced by the fact that the humidifier did not work during the winter that it was installed, and worse yet having the evaporator coil freeze up during the first hot spell when I ran the heat pump in cooling mode, leaving me cooking. I felt like I'd been taken advantage of, and was $20k in the hole as a result. That's where Richard from Coretemp came in. I searched for a a certified Lennox Dealer in order to get a second opinion of the HVAC system's installation/operation. Richard, along with his colleague Eric, quickly identified numerous issues in the initial installation job, from minor points (incorrectly set up condensate drainage from tankless water heater/ furnace slope), to major (incorrectly paired TX valve, which is leading to the coil freezing up + low CFM from blower), as well as a minor gas leak! Richard went above and beyond in coordinating with Lennox tech support to ensure that the optimal and correct solutions were found for my existing HVAC equipment. Every effort was made to get the equipment that I had already purchased working properly, as opposed to selling me new tech to replace the faulty system, which I was fully prepared to do. It cannot be understated how amazing it has been to have made the acquaintance of Richard and Eric from Coretemp. They're truly the most honest, thorough, and considerate contractors I've ever had the pleasure to work with. The peace of mind in knowing, after my first problematic experience, that I've found the BEST HVAC contractor around (full stop), is honestly irreplaceable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Coretemp Heating and Cooling without reservation to ANYONE in need of an HVAC professional. Thank you again Richard and Eric - you guys are the best!
