What a refreshing change to work directly with an owner operator! Very knowledgeable and very willing to explain what options were available to us for the repair. Went above and beyond to complete the repair same day. Explained what they were doing while they worked and tested the repair. Provided insight on future options for replacement.

Furnace stopped working. Got really chilly.. Richard and Eric diagnosed the issue quickly and did the required repair at a fair price. Fast, reliable and knowledgeable. Very pleased. Thanks.

Richard and Erik are a dying breed of Professionals that are not only courteous and punctual for their scheduled appointment but will also meet and exceed all of your expectations for the job they were hired to do (and then some). I chose CoreTemp to replace my water heater tank with a tankless becuase Richard was thorough with his initial consultation both inside and outside of the house. He not only talks the talk but walks the walk. The work was completed on time and as discussed during our initial consultation. Richard even repaired by leaking furnace humidifier hose and provided a new shutoff valve for it despite that this was not what he was hired to do. I also appreciate the time Richard took to answer all my questions during and after the installation as well as a quick walk through of the operation of the new tankless water heater. Also greatly appreciated him consulting with me every step of the way before routing any pipes (water and gas) and attaching the tankless to the wall. Finally, I need to mention Janice who in the background promptly provided all and any background information regarding the company credentials I requested. I found out about this company through a referral. I called to get quoted for a furnace and ac unit. The pricing was very good, very competitive I decided to go through with the job. Next day was install day every step was explained and professionally detailed. The installs were completed in a timely manner. Me and my family now feel safe and comfortable with our new heating and air units. Job well done for now on this is the only company Ill recommend to anyone for their heating and air needs.

I had my 2012 Lennox elite series furnace inspected as part of my maintenance package with another HVAC company that has looked after the system for years. The furnace was working perfectly fine in my opinion. The technician told my wife and I that we needed to replace the blower motor and heat exchanger which would cost over $4k. The company sent out a sales lady who recommended replacing our furnace and AC with a new heat pump and furnace for about $22k. I told them we needed a second opinion, so I found Coretemp on HomeStars and Richard and Eric came out to inspect our equipment promptly. They found multiple issues with the equipment that werent properly checked by the other company. They found a vent pipe was missing from the side of the furnace, the screw for the door latch was missing, the inside of the furnace by the control board was full of cobwebs and couldnt have been inspected the day before. They also found some of the switches on the control board were in the wrong position and my furnace had been running at only 60% capacity since it was installed. After they adjusted the switches it was like a new furnace, the airflow and heat were way better than ever. More importantly they did a thorough inspection of the furnace and found no issues with the blower motor or the heat exchanger. They cut a small access hole to take pictures of the heat exchanger that showed it was in great condition and did a reading outside by the exhaust vent that showed the levels were fine. My wife and I are relieved to know that our HVAC system is in great condition and we dont have to spend $22k unnecessarily. They were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We will be using Coretemp for our maintenance in the spring and fall going forward and have already recommended them to a family member.

I can confirm all the positive reviews and want to provide another endorsement. My old furnace conked out and after speaking to my old HVAC company which was trying to upsell me on a $20k install, Richard spoke to me clearly about what he thought the issue was, his recommendations (including providing guidance on which other routes I could try with other companies). I decided to work with him just on the back of his honesty and his ability to explain things to me in a very easy to understand way. Best decision, by far. He was very quick and was somehow able to fit a new furnace (and humidifier) install in very quickly to make sure I wouldn't be freezing over the weekend. I would easily recommend Richard to others - at least give Richard a call for any issues you might be having. He'll hear you out and give you options and take the time to walk you through them.

The world of service needs more Richards!! Can't say enough about the level of service we received from Richard and Eric for our new furnace and air conditioner!! From the initial quote, through all our questions, to the install day, to the follow-up, Coretemp exceeded our expectations. Its end October and our furnace fan was working but no heat was coming out just cool air. We always rely on Homestars to help us find good trades people and servicemen and Coretemp did not disappoint. Richard and Eric happened to be working close by when I called and they were at the house in 20 minutes! They quickly identified the problem and ordered a $20 part to fix the issue. From start to finish they had our furnace blowing heat again in 36 hours! They dont try to upsell and give honest advice. We highly recommend Coretemp Heating and Air!
