    HVAC - Furnace Air Conditioning

    Coretemp (Richard) was one of three companies I had at my home to give me a quote on the replacement of my furnace and air conditioner. I found him the most professional of the three. He was professional, explained in detail what was required and provided pictures of previous jobs. He and his team (Eric & Dave) arrived when promised and the job was completed professionally and within 5 hours. Everything was cleaned up and I would have no hesitation in recommending Coretemp to any of my friends or family.

    Amazing !!!

    Rich and his team are amazing, on time , Clean and Quality work ! don't bother looking elsewhere you will be 100 Percent Happy start to finish 10/10

    Coretemp's Great Customer Service

    Coretemp installed a new furnace & A/C in November 2023 after our 25 year old model was on it's last legs. Coretemp was competitive on price and very accommodating on an installation date. The furnace ran smooth and quiet all winter. When we turned the A/C on in May, it made a slight whining noise. Richard made sure our concerns were prioritized, coming on his own time to help diagnose the issue. It turns out the ductwork and lack of cold air returns are issue, as the A/C and blower are working just fine. Coretemp (Richard) puts the customer first and makes sure they are fully satisfied with the workmanship. Richard is professional and passionate about his work - the best customer service we have received in a long time.

    Air Conditioning Repair

    Highly recommend. My AC was not working properly so I called Coretemp and booked an appointment. Richard and Eric were able to repair my AC Very happy with the service provided. I am a repeat customer of Coretemp and will continue to be .

    Honest pros and great service

    Years ago my first service call with Richard (the owner) on our AC he performed only the necessary repairs and it immediately impressed on me that I was dealing with an honest person. Recently we called him again when the AC finally died after 21 years of operation. We got a quality AC replacement and new thermostat installed by him and Eric. We recommended them as well to our neighbor who also got a new AC. They provided us with excellent service. He also inspected our existing rental water heater and pointed out the shortcuts the original installer did and that we should have the rental company rectify it. We are so lucky we found Richard and Eric from CoreTemp and can say we now have HVAC/Water Heater pros we can trust and recommend to others.

    New air conditioner

    I had a new air conditioner installed . The customer service and installation was exceptional. Shout out to Richard and Eric for doing an amazing job. I would highly recommend them.

    Diagnostic

    Called Coretemp because of weird Carbon Dioxide readings on my thermostat. They came out right away. Erik was so thorough; he checked all equipment and and floor registers, took readings, and even checked my HRV. Richard, the owner, followed up about finding new pre-filters for my HRV which are discontinued and gave me a few options. Absolutely fantastic and honest customer service. I will definitely call them when my HVAC systems need to be replaced.

    These guys are the best. No close second!

    I've been a customer for over 10 years. Richard and Eric are top notch. Honest, knowledgeable, fair, down to earth. And you're dealing with the people that will do the work not someone that contracts out to others. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

    CoreTemp Furnace Installation

    Our 27-year-old furnace died during the February Family Day long weekend. After quickly researching the internet, we called 3 companies for estimates. Richard (owner of CoreTemp) actually answered the phone and was in our basement within 30 minutes. He was able to quickly get the furnace going (no charge) so we thankfully had heat again, but it was clear from his explanation (and age of furnace) that it was time for a new one. He provided us with a written quote and brochures and was able to do it without any of the pressure sales tactics/games so often used by other companies. Richard also called us a few times during the next 48 hours just to make sure the furnace was still providing heat. We also got quotes from two other companies, and after having to negotiate back and forth for hours for the exact same Lennox model and warranty that Richard offered, we decided to give our business to Richard (CoreTemp) based on price, in-depth knowledge, quick response time, and ability to explain everything clearly. The next day Richard and his assistant Erik arrived on time and professionally installed the furnace and left the area as clean as they found it. Richard took the time to explained how the new furnace worked and stressed that if we had any other questions to call him directly. I would rate the entire experience with CoreTemp as Outstanding. Richard owns this company and clearly takes pride in providing excellent customer service at a fair price. If all businesses were operated in this manner, what a wonderful world it would be with regard to home maintenance. I highly and confidently recommend CoreTemp to all family, friends, and neighbours.

    Tankless Unit

    I had an 17 year old Takagi unit that I could not get parts for and no one wanted to fix. One tech even called it a relic. A tech who does not service where I live recommended that I call Richard at Coretemp to see if he could help me out. I called Richard explained my situation to him. He did some asking around and called me back about a couple of hours later. My tankless unit was too old and too hard to get parts for. It was also ready to fail. We found this out when they pulled the old unit out and we took a close look at it. I had gotten quotes from 4 other techs all selling the same size Rinnai unit. I asked Richard what he thought of Rennai and the unit that 4 other techs had recommended. He told me that Rennai is a great company that stands behind their products but he would not sell that size Rennai unit in my house because it was way too big for my 1100 square ft house. Right then I new that this was the guy. He could have suggested the same unit as the other techs and I would gone with it. He suggested at unit that was "right sized" for my house and needs. He installed a unit that was less expensive for me. He could have made a bigger profit off of me by selling me the bigger unit but he did not. 2 days later Richard and Eric showed up to install my new tankless unit. They were done in 4 hours. Richard and Eric make a great team. They are friends and coworkers. They have a great energy together. The Rennai unit that they installed is amazing. I get hot water at every tap now. The old unit would not turn on for 1 tap that had a flow restrictor in it. It is so hard to find honest, friendly, experienced and knowledgeable techs now. I have worked in the service industry for over 36 years. Richard and Eric remind me of the guys that trained and guided me. They are everything that you want in a tech and more. Thank-you Coretemp for reminding me that there are good people and good companies out there that care about their customers not just about the money.
