We are selling our house and found mold in the attic during home inspection. We searched Homestars and found Robert. First call he provided a quote based on the size of the attic. Then Robert drove all the way to our house and did an inspection. Not only he described the status of the mold situation, but also sent in an formal adjustment quote in a timely manner. Professional service. Definitely recommend Templar to anyone.

From the moment I had contact, Templar was prompt, professional and clean. The areas of repair were protected and sealed off from the rest of the house (this was very important to me). The team took the time to explain the problem and the necessary steps involved to rectify it. They were quick and courteous; they made a bad situation good.

I called Robert to take a look at the major mould problem I was having in my basement. I got a call back quickly, Setting up an appt was quick and painless and having him come out to give me an estimate took no time at all. He gave me a quick rundown of the process. A fair price was agreed on and he had Warren in my basement 2 days later cleaning the mould out. Warren removed the mould and disposed of all the debris. he cleaned up before he left and even swept and mopped the floor. I could not be happier with the service and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

After many phone calls for estimates to remove asbestos in the attic, I became very frustrated. Until that is I spoke to Robert. He returned my phone call very quickly with a very reasonable quote. As soon as I rec'd the keys on closing, Robert and his crew did the removal very quickly. I would recommend calling this company first to avoid any headaches.

I would highly recommend Robert and his company to remove asbestos or mould. He was prompt in replying to my inquiry and provided a reasonable quote on asbestos removal, in addition to information about the home energy audits. I will be using his service again in the near future for cleaning up a basement with some mould issues.

We were in the middle of an air conditioning instalation in our attic, when the company's manager determined that the loose-fill vermiculite isulation in the attic contained asbestos, and pulled his workers off the job. We were desperate to get them back to work, and needed someone to do this job quickly. I researched several companies, and decided to give the job to Templar because their price was significantly less than others, and because they could do it right away and Robert stressed that the job would be done safely, cleanly and with very little disturbance in our house. He was absolutely right. They came within a couple of days, and were very careful not to get any dust into the inside of the house or into the air outside. They were able to run their vacuum hose through a roof vent instead of coming through the house. Two workers worked in a hot attic during a summer heat wave without complaint, and all I had to do was keep bringing water to them. The attic was very clean when they had finished, and the air conditioning contractors were happy and were able to finish their job. I am very grateful to Robert and his technicians.

Robert and his team were professional, courteous and did an excellent job with the removal of the terrifying asbestos in my basement. They removed the ceiling and followed up with putting all the electrical wiring back in place. My basement was spotless when they left.

I recently bought an older home (1930s). A musty smell on the upper floors led me to poke my head into the attic. What a nightmare! Think bathroom fans exhausting into a poorly ventilated attic for at least 10 years! The insulation, rafters and roof decking were all covered in mould. I assembled a team to deal with it, and did not hesitate to call Robert of Templar to inspect, recommend, and quote the job. The crew he sent over were amazing. They used a state of the art "dry ice" blasting technique to get rid of ALL the mould. They encapsulated the attic entrance so there was no chance of a back draft into the home. They were true professionals. The very reasonable cost was well worth it. The musty smell was completely gone and, to my astonishment, the original wood in the attic looked (and smelled) brand new! Robert personally came by to inspect the work in progress, and gave me valuable recommendations on some of the other work I wanted done. E.g., I needed a vapor barrier as there was none. Robert explained the benefits of a soy based spray foam instead of a poly vapor barrier between the joists (a competing recommendation). I decided to let him do the spray foam, and am so glad I did. It was a vastly superior solution for, get this, a slightly lower cost! The crew Robert had come by to do the spray foam, on short notice mind you, were excellent. Thanks to Robert, my attic problems are gone. An experienced contractor doing other work for me recently commented "this is the smartest old attic I've ever seen." That's what you like to hear! Home in the west end was found to have vermiculite insulation containing aspestos (lab report confirmed) - the buyer's wanted it removed before they would purchase the home - Templar was recommended to me by a highly regarded home inspection company - Templar answered the phone and we had a quote the next day - the work took two days - no mess - no garbage - left property in a clean state - Buyer's firmed up their contract. I bought my first house a few months ago. With a young child, I was very worried about cut asbestos insulation surrounding radiator pipes in the basement. The home inspector and an environmental company I hired left me confused as to whether there was a problem. I needed clear answers. Robert provided that to me. Although I was so worried that I was willing gut the finished basement to let Robert get the asbestos out, Robert said he didn't think that was necessary right now. He suggested that, if I wanted some comfort, he could do a 1 hour air test in the boiler room to confirm there were no fibers leaking into the air. I got the independant lab results promptly, and was relieved to see that the results were FAR below anything that would be a cause for concern. Now, thanks to Robert's honesty and professionalism, I have peace of mind and time to plan my basement reno. I wish I had contacted Templar first about this. By the way, Templar has an excellent website too, with some useful information.
