    Windows replaced whole house

    Sean and Rick did such a fantastic job , clean , accurate professionals , left our house looking like a million dollars. Their attention to detail was refreshing in this day and age. All window openings were measured before they started as a double check . Max-Sun Windows and Doors Ltd will get all the rest of our business and anyone who asks will get a referral of the highest order. Thanks to two personable young craftsmen

    Sean and Rick. (Installers)

    Sean and Rick did a fantastic job installing my new windows. The floors and furniture were all covered to keep things clean. They measured the windows before removing the old one just to ensure they fit. Inside and out were keep spotless while they removed the old windows. The installation and finishing of the windows was excellent. They would not move on to the next window until they were satisfied everything was perfect. Rick and Seam are courteous and friendly but moreover the are professionals. Highly recommend them

    northern windows

    Window install

    Jamie and Ryan were awesome installers. Polite, gave me calls when you were coming. Great clean up. Was a pleasure to have in my home to do this work, great job

    Collingwood window replacement

    We were blown away by the quality and professionalism of this company. Everything that we were promised was delivered! We were particularly pleased with our installers Sean & Rick. When they saw our California Shutters, they went back to their shop in the evening and built a new frame to ensure we could reinstall our shutters. They were polite and a joy to have in our home. If you're buying from this amazing company, be sure to ask for Sean & Rick to do your install!

    windows replacement

    We ordered windows in March 2018. They came to install them in Jun 2018 only to find out, by the installer, that they were the wrong size. They never called to tell us they were re-ordered. I gave them a week to call us to apologize and confirm the windows were re-ordered. I had to call them and the woman that took our call was rude. She certainly needs training on how to deal with customers. I called back several times to get the status, because apparently it was a “rush order”. One day, I got a voice mail telling me they should be in soon. On 20th Aug we received a call telling us the new windows were never ordered and that they would send someone over to re-measure the windows. We were told it would be rush order “again”, would take 3-4 weeks, and guess what ...NOTHING as of today. Furthermore, they didn’t realize that I also have one of my rental property done by them and after many calls from my business partner inquiring about the rebate and why it takes so long to receive it.... yes, you guessed it... they forgot to send it. If there were numbers below zero for rating customer service, that’s the rating I would give them. However, I will give the installer (Andrew) thumbs up! Whoever will do the Company response, don’t apologize... it’s way too late, and you seriously need to review the way to do business.

    northern comfort windows and doors

    ordered windows in march 2018 ,they measured in june, still waiting for the windows mid sept. big regret for going with northern comfort barrie. our sales person greg took our check for 50% down and never contacted again. Update ,I cant believe it 7 months and still no windows, and the Green On rebate,(5k) gone!!!! . I am so angry they took our opportunity to save $5000 I just want my deposit back. I should probably be relieved they couldn't even come up with the 10 windows in 7 months.

    Disappointed

    Overall, we were expecting a better customer experience. After vetting other companies like Kempenfelt, Centennial and others, Northern Comfort had the best and most thorough sales pitch. Our rep was very helpful and responsive. After settling on Northern Comfort, we had to accept a 16-20 week lead time, given what was described as extremely high volume (coinciding with the government rebates available). Fair enough. This also involved two separate visits to validate measurements. After roughly 16-17 weeks, our windows were confirmed to be ready. Installation #1 -4 of the 7 windows in total had a problem -1 was frosted not ordered, 1 window actually didn’t fit the frame altogether, 1 screen fully damaged, 1 screen small damage Installation #2 (to correct 1st visit) -Installers replaced frost pane and replaced screen -Was not aware of the full size window that did not fit, and did not have a replacement with them Installation #3 -Installers came with replacement window to replace the one that didn’t fit the frame originally -Did not clean up, and left scrap material on carpet and open caulking tube beside basement play area for our kids In what started out as a positive customer experience, ended with disappointment after: -3 installation visits (3 instances taking time off work) -approximately 24-25 weeks from original order It’s nice, but surprising to see other positive customer reviews on this site. If only the same diligence that goes into the “company replies” to the less positive reviews, went into getting the order and customer experience right the first time, then I wouldn’t be needing to write this particular review.

    Improper Installation and lack of service

    We had 7 windows installed and after a large rain storm, we noticed water leaking in and damage done to our walls. We called Northern and they sent out an inspector on Aug 24 who confirmed it was an installation error. He said that we would be forwarded to management and someone would be in touch with us as we would be considered a priority. After one week with no word, we phoned on Aug 30 and spoke with Lisa (Service Coordinator). She said that she had a tech right there and would get right back to us. A week goes by with no word so we call again today on Sept 7. I express my disgust politely (no cursing) and ask what is going on. Lisa refuses to speak with me or tell me what is going on. She says she will tell Troy to call me and that Troy is their manager. Then she hangs up. I phone back only to find out that the Office Manager has no idea what Troy does for the company. She puts me to their general mailbox. Do not trust this company!

    Windows upgraded on older home

    We have used Northern Comfort numerous times to replace all our doors and garage door. The windows were to be put last big upgrade to the house. Thank you very much to Andrew and Antonius for taking on a huge job of replacing 5 windows, one being a huge 3 pane front window. The first crew that came out told us the windows were the wrong size and they couldn’t put them in. After remeasuring the windows, it was discovered that they were the right size but it was just a more complicated job. Andrew and Antonius tackled it all and did a phenomenal job. We highly recommend them.
