The technician (Shawn) arrived in approximately 30 minutes. I detailed with him the work I wanted done and he recommended a middle range model that suited what I wanted as well as providing me with a cost estimate. I decided to go with his recommendation. The technician departed to obtain the units and returned within an hour. Total installation for replacing 3 toilets was 1 and 1/2 hour. Total cost of the new toilets including labor, removal of old fixtures, and taxes was approximately $2,000. Installation and cleanup was friendly and professional. Costs were reasonable and competitive. As a side note, the technician noticed a bathroom sink faucet was spraying oddly during cleanup, and he made minor adjustments to the tap for me at no cost as a courtesy. It was clear that he cared about service. I would recommend this company without hesitation to anyone requiring plumbing services.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

My shower was plugged do i bought a bottle of Draino :( Bad Idea, the smell was so horrible it burned my eyes. I called Mr Swirl on a Sunday afternoon and in less than 30min they arrived. The very friendly (and quite good looking ;o) ) technician cleared the drain efficiently and helped get rid of the horrible Draino. He also sold me a bottle of environmentally friendly drain cleaner to maintain my drains. The whole experience was a pleasure. I really feel like they cared.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I am surprised this company hasn't been on HomeStar website yet. They did a pretty good job on cleaning our drains with reasonable charge. These guys were punctual, friendly, and most importantly, enthusiastic in their work. I had called to repair a leaky frost-free hose bib, and I actually took it apart and realized there was a crack in a replacable cartridge. I initially called a plumber to fix it and he quoted a rate of around $100 to $180, but he wasn't available to come in the date I requested so I called Mr. Swirl. The Mr. Swirl plumber needed extra parts so he went to the plumbing supply store (the time to and fro I thought was excessive). The time to install was less than 15minutes. I was charged a grand total of $468. I have talked to a professional plumber I know at work and he explained this situation to a building inspector friend of his. Both had agreed that a reasonable cost should be no more than $150 to $200. I will not use this company again and have filed a complaint to the BBB.Answer from pro:

I had a huge issue arise with my kitchen sink and dishwasher and was very fortunate to have called Mr Swirl. I was lucky enough to have had a gentleman by the name of Milo ( hope the spelling is correct )show up and fix my leaky sink and leaky dishwasher in a very short amount of time. service was really quick, but the "plumber" was obviously inexperienced and completely unfamiliar with my unit. it was a Riobel shower cartridge. in addition to changing the cartridge I asked them do maintenance on the steam shower and adjust the temperature of the shower. the guy quoted 400 dollars in labour for all three jobs. in the end he only changed the cartridge, which took him over an hour. actually it took longer because he broke one and had to go back to the store to get a new one. he announced that he was done, and imagine my surprise when I saw that the knobs and coverings were not even replaced. he had also not tested the hot water. as he put it "the cartridge is replaced, it will be fine now. upon testing, he claimed it was hot, but it wasn't. he then explained that he was completely unable to fix the steam shower, he knows nothing about them... I then requested that he at least replace the knobs and covering. I had done this a couple of times and it took, I don't know, about 2 minutes. he spent over 40 minutes trying to fiddle with the three screws, swearing, making excuses, claiming that I needed to go to Rona and get longer screws, and that the walls were not built properly.. It was just painful. in the end he couldn't do it. I had to put it together after he left. it took me less than a minute. he still charged $400 in labour from his quote, despite doing less than one third of the job. he actually looked me in the eye and said that it was a reasonable rate.. because his boss said so. Then he spent 5 minutes trying to upsell me a gallon of drain cleaner. I couldn't wait for him to leave. Aside from the quick dispatch and cheesy but friendly phone manner from reception, this company does everything wrong.Answer from pro:
