    Great Company - Highly recommend

    We had them come in and do an inspection of the work as well as provide a quote for remediation. After a few quotes from various companies, we decided on The Mold Guy. They were at our house for a few days, and throughout the whole process, they were extremely professional and reasonably priced. We felt somewhat 'nervous', but they kept us calm throughout the remediation. They kept us in the know with various telephone calls throughout and we are very pleased and satisfied with them. We would highly recommend them to anyone with these issues.

    Musty smell in attic room

    The mold guy company is very passionate and knowledgeable about their profession. They talk you through everything in a kind, courtous manner, and they really know their stuff! Highly recommended!

    Mold remediation in attic

    We purchased our current house knowing that there was a bit of mold in the attic. We called The Mold Guy to deal with it shortly after closing, and they were here within a few days. They showed up at 6am, because the attic can get quite hot mid-day. This wasn't ideal for us, but understandable. The work was completed by 3 men in 3-4 hours. They were quiet and clean throughout. They provided before and after pictures, which was very nice. At the end, I was informed that there was _still_ a leak in the roof that I should have addressed ASAP - they saw damp areas. This was surprising to me (the sellers of the house told us it had been fixed, and our home inspector didn't notice anything), but was clearly true. I was quite happy with The Mold Guy, although I was a bit surprised at the price ($2600 / 3 people / 4 hours = 216/h/person), but I'm not sure what the materials, travel, and other costs involved are. This might be totally normal for the industry. I would certainly still recommend them for their quality of work and the fact that they told me the roof was still leaking.

    Thanks for the great review Ben! As you suspected the costs of materials get costly, especially on large attics such as yours. While I have an audience here, attic mold is typically a winter problem caused by ventilation or insulation issues that need to be addressed. It is important to check or have the attic checked on a cold winter morning (like -5) before the sun comes out, if you have frost or icicles in your attic you still have a moisture issue.     Indoor Air Quality

    I had a great experience with this company. Ross was very knowledgeable, thorough, and professional; the final report was in-depth. The people I spoke with at the main office were very help helpful. Highly Recommend.

    Basement Cold Rooms Mold Removal

    Due to condensation issue in our basement cold rooms, we started feeling a musty odor in cold rooms. Ross, inspected the site, advised that mold issue was not very bad in our case (common for cold rooms), however recommended remediation. Kay was amazing to deal with, she understood our needs and squeezed us in their busy schedule. Overall we are very satisfied with The Mold Guy. The crew came on time and well prepared. I especially liked that the crew had isolated the cold rooms from the rest of the house with polyethylene sheeting and used exhaust fan ducted to the outside to reduce risk of mold migrating to the rest of the house. I would recommend The Mold Guy. Eugene

    Thanks Eugene, It would be great if they just stopped making cold rooms, we've forgotten how to use them properly. They are a humid room for hanging meat, preserve jars...and making wine of course.     Leak causing Mold

    When we removed drywall from a ceiling where we heard some dripping, we discovered some mold. We contacted Mold Guy and arranged for an appointment. Mr Mold Guy was prompt and gave us good news. The Mold was not serious and he told us how to remove it and get rid of it. Great service and advice. Thanks!

    Leak in ceiling - found mold

    We had a leak in one of the upstairs washrooms that collapsed part of the ceiling on the main floor. The mold inspector that was sent out surveyed the issue and instructed us on how to best remove and clean it up (saving us $$ and time). I really appreciated the honesty with no scare tactics.

    Quick and Honest

    Ross inspected the mold situation, which fortunately turned out to be small, and rather than calling in another set of workers to clean it, he did it himself. He saved me time and money but more importantly, showed that he was thinking about the customer. I would definitely call him again.

    Perfect Service!

    These guys are professional, courteous and skilled. They were on top of my requests, they bent over backwards to accommodate my tight timelines, and they were quick with follow-ups. They gave me complete comfort that they were taking care of my home, and cared about the issue as much as I did.

    Air test and mold inspection

    I am pleased to have chosen the mold guy to do a "air test". I had a tenant who refused to pay me rent because of "mold" and I needed to prove there wasn't a problem. When I called they explained my options and told me what to expect. Ross was the inspector that came. He was very professional and discreet, it was obvious he knew what he was doing and dealt with my difficult tenant very well. My results were sent the next day. There was no issue at all but he still gave me some tips to make sure there won't be any issues later. Would not hesitate to use them again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Ross!
